  1. GD, how many trolls do you have?

Thanks, troll. You're an inspiration, as are all Obama lackeys, for us to respond.

    Sorry, I couldn't resist *grin*.

  4. Hey "RayGun!" You could not have chosen a more appropriate time to come back here using the troll name you were using in the beginning: "Reaper."

You are sure to appreciate this. See, I sent out email alerting a few readers about this post. It was titled "Reaping the Cultural Sowage. " Don't you find that messy?

I could have sworn you were already familiar with my long established troll, Annie. Your name fits her inclinations quite well and I'd imagine she'd pay you for your services were you not so willing to provide them for free. Of course, as she maintain, she seems never at a loss for volunteers.

As I recall, there was only one of Vonnegut's novels that was not science fiction. You appear to have chosen to identify too well with its protagonist. It's quite a burden.

  5. Sorry Pasc, I forgot your preference for RayGun, as I know Reaper scares some of your readers a little. Did not mean to scare anyone, but I had recently posted at another site ...

Where did you get Vonnegut from? I mentioned Vonnegut at another site a few weeks ago, but pretty sure not here. Kilgore Trout ring a bell regarding that post?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Click on "Reaper" and you'll get your answer. "All of Vonnegut" ring a bell?

Also, Reaper fits this post well, so please use it.

    Kilgore Trout? LOL.
Bzzzz. Kilgore Trout is the writer of science fiction within V's science fictions. I said non-scifi. (At least my could-be faulty memory pegged that one novel as being entirely dramatic).

I also don't recall Trout ever being one of V's protagonists. However, I haven't read V since Bkfst of Chmpns, so correct me if that changed.

    No, not Kilgore Trout.

  7. "Kilgore Trout is the writer of science fiction within V's science fictions"

Exactly. KT was a pseudonym for Vonnegut, as in that's who Vonnegut was really referring to.

Why am I suppose to change back to Reaper? Because of an email you sent out that I didn't receive?

Did you go to church yet today?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Had you given me your email address, I would have sent it to you.

Like I said, Reaper fits Annie's vision and this thread.

  9. "Like I said, Reaper fits Annie's vision and this thread."

    ---

    Where's her vision written?

Are you back from church yet?

I know man does not like thinking about dieing (the Grim Reaper, etc), so is that why he invented an afterlife?

Maybe I should read the thread more closely.

Sounds good. Just make sure your readers don't get scared and think Im coming after them. The real reaper is after us all, but I am not him.

Please keep the ideas simple, as most good writing really boils down to just a few simple things.

Did you get fired from the Crums site? I didn't see you listed there. (Man he is long winded)

The above was in regards to the fact that you frequently lose me with your posts.

You ever see "Across the Universe"?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Who exactly is "Crum" and why would I be listed there? In case you haven't noticed, I have no lists to reciprocate.

Don't fret Reaper; sometimes I lose me with my posts. That's why I ask readers to ask WTF -- as you did at least once. Do a search for Essential Tangential. :) You seem to be avoiding souping up the proper V protagonist, perhaps for good reason.

    What is "Across the Universe"?

  14. "You seem to be avoiding souping up the proper V protagonist, perhaps for good reason."

    ---

    Lost me again.

V is Vonnegut, his protagonist is God (or rather the lack of any God)? I have something like 19 of V's books. V was ahead of the Humanist society for quite a while, and think the point of his books was there really is no point.

    ---

    What is "Across the Universe"?

It's a musical, based on the Beatles songs. Helter Skelter, I am the Walrus (Bono sings it), All You Need is Love, and lots more. But the most important point of the movie is, All You Need is Love. John Lennon wrote many of the songs and his point is, in writing, in story telling, etc, all you really need is love. Think about it, the Bible, God, great friends, parents, siblings, lovers, money, etc. It's all about love. Most great writing is based on that.

I am embarrassed to say how many times I have watched it, so I won't say.

It's won lots of awards and has a cult following, but you have to get through to the point where Max goes to Vietnam. Just stick with it, there are corny spots, but lots of great writing. And understand everything they are talking about is love (many, many, many, different kinds).

"Crum" is the Crumudgeaon Emeritus. Man is he long winded. I thought you new him.

  15. No it's not God nor "not God." I guess there is some Vonnegut you haven't got despite your claim at your profile to "Everything Vonnegut." How odd, double, you can't bell that cat. The story of this protagonist was even one of Vonnegut's few books that made it to the big screen. :)

    ---
Maybe had you nicknamed him 'Curmy" -- in the manner of Miss Piggy's "Kermie" but without the affection -- I might have caught on.

Yes. I know Fran. Let me say that I am grateful that he has written at length from what grew out of a few conversation we had.

They were ideas which troubled me, and trouble me still, but about which my tangential and undisciplined writing mind had difficulty transcribing. He took the baton and ran quite well with it.

On his side bar is "The Death Cults." You'll find there many of his essays spurred in part by my contributions. There are also others of his that are remembered by me in the comments.

I often enough do not agree with Fran, but much of that is because I am not the curmudgeon that he is. I occasionally leave a comment there still.

Slaughter House 5? I think his first? Hope I haven't read all his books, as I would love to read more. Please do tell, what book did I miss? I counted a few months ago and thought I saw 19 books on my shelf. Cat and the Cradle? That's a favorite of mine.

    ---

Have a hard time sticking with Fran (The Crum's) writing as it's long winded and ... I read the first few lines, a few middle lines, and the last few lines of his posts. The guy sounds like a mess. If he loves God so much, why doesn't God help him out a little more? Plus I use his site sometimes to find yours, and did a search on "Pasc" and nothing came up.

Pasc, did you go to church today?

  18. "I often enough do not agree with Fran, but much of that is because I am not the curmudgeon that he is"

Don't ye find that odd Pasc, that the zealots are often the most belligerent? I find it really ironic.

Og you dog, did you ever get your shots?

Please, don't be skeered, as Pasc asked me to use the moniker "Reaper" for some reason. I am not coming for you. The real reaper is, but I am not him.

Are ye skeered Og, skeered of the end? Why? It'll be as it was before you were born. Be brave.

  20. "Cat and the Cradle? That's a favorite of mine."

JC Ray; can't you do better than that? The title of the novel is "Cat's Cradle." And I know a secret to it that Vonnegut only partially revealed. It's incontestable and scientifically fascinating. Email me and I'll tell you where to find the published proof. It's a true relic.

But you probably don't care; remaining an anonymous troll is vastly more important.

  21. Damn, after reading a few of her posts, I don't think Ms Ann Thrope likes humans either.

  22. "after reading a few of her posts"

Holy cow Rep, you sure took long enough to find her. LOL.

"I don't think Ms Ann Thrope likes humans either."
I don't think she'd say that, but we'll have to wait for her return. Personally, I think she likes us just fine. Finely cut and fricasseed.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Regarding email, I have to be a little careful as your site seems to attract a lot of zealots. And I don't want God whispering in their ear to go get Reaper, as God whispered into W's to invade Iraq.

So if you think abortion should be legal, then you're a human hater?

  25. Rep, I already have your IP address -- potentially more informative than an email address -- and I haven't passed it along to anyone, whether you fear them or not. And what you say is less open to view and thus less likely to be connected to you by those who know you at work, etc.

I do a lot of non open forum writing. As you may surmise from my posting record, before July of this year I preferred it. Still do.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sorry to say this Rep -- and I am putting it nicely -- but your 11:43 looks silly.

Quoting an observation you yourself made, and then asking a question, of yourself? (Huh?) Of me? (why?) Of Annie? (Huh?)

  27. "You Boomers who wouldn't abort your babies as I suggested will be forced to watch as I seduce your grown babies into aborting themselves.-- Ms Ann Thrope in private boast."

Thus, you will die watching your children wearing the shackles you forged for them because you were too blind in your youth to notice me at my work. — Ms Ann Thrope boasting privately.

Sorry, maybe above quote would make it clearer from whence my thoughts originated.

I think Ann is just fking with you. You do recognize her name, as I presume with 95 percent certainty?

  28. Ms Ann Thrope

JC, Pasc, you must know who GD Ms Ann Thrope is? What definition would you give her name?

  29. Pasc, you can e-mail me the cat's cradle secret. It was my favorite. Slaughterhouse 5 a close second.

  31. Ann, think some readers don't know who you are. But since your Pasc's baby, seems he would know.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ann, upon further consideration, I suspect you are Pasc, in drag, or Pasc just flat does not recognize you. Has to be one or the other.

Pasc, are you fking with your readers?

Ed, agree with it all. Sorry, if you do not want a troll agreeing with you. Maybe 10 years for me though.

Still working on email Pasc. I have feeling emails would be interesting.
