The story of this protagonist was even one of Vonnegut's few books that made it to the big screen. :)

---
Maybe had you nicknamed him 'Curmy" -- in the manner of Miss Piggy's "Kermie" but without the affection -- I might have caught on.

Yes. Let me say that I am grateful that he has written at length from what grew out of a few conversation we had.

They were ideas which troubled me, and trouble me still, but about which my tangential and undisciplined writing mind had difficulty transcribing. He took the baton and ran quite well with it.

On his side bar is "The Death Cults." You'll find there many of his essays spurred in part by my contributions. I have something like 19 of V's books. V was ahead of the Humanist society for quite a while, and think the point of his books was there really is no point.

---

What is "Across the Universe"?

It's a musical, based on the Beatles songs. Helter Skelter, I am the Walrus (Bono sings it), All You Need is Love, and lots more. But the most important point of the movie is, All You Need is Love. John Lennon wrote many of the songs and his point is, in writing, in story telling, etc, all you really need is love. Think about it, the Bible, God, great friends, parents, siblings, lovers, money, etc. It's all about love. Most great writing is based on that.

I am embarrassed to say how many times I have watched it, so I won't say.

It's won lots of awards and has a cult following, but you have to get through to the point where Max goes to Vietnam. Just stick with it, there are corny spots, but lots of great writing. And understand everything they are talking about is love (many, many, many, different kinds).

"Crum" is the Crumudgeaon Emeritus. Man is he long winded.
