In the card game of euchre, the knave of the trump suit is highest.
When one comes up short in a transaction under suspicious circumstances the euphemism that arose from the game is "I was euchred." Swindled.
Various European states that were cajoled into joining the EU appear to be saying they were EUchred and want out.
I find it humorous to see it this way: The knaves in the EU hate the Donald primarily because he seems to have turned out to be the wild-card that Trumps them.
The states of the EU have noticed.
Despite the alleged separation of church and state, BELIEF in Sustainability is widely held in American secular government. Judeo-Christian moral guidelines have been incrementally supplanted by what can best be described as neo-pagan ones. Consequently, notice where rulers never utter a harsh word against Malthusian, Utilitarian, Green and Islamistophilic nutcases. There the ruled are at grave risk.

Social Justice Cretins
I've been through this before. Over two decades. Most who will read the following will be wont to tell himself that there is nothing he can do to fight against the hegemony of the predominant media. Yet Donald Trump succeeded at it.
Don't you get it yet? He was smart enough to read you, and bold enough to heed what you have been writing on the web for the last 25 years, and he made it his message.
Do you think it's only a Trump who could dent the SSM's influence? Dammit men -- it's been you all along! Don't stop now!
I'm compelled to write this because I've had my fill of reading sentences with the acronym SJW (social justice warrior) in them. I don't care if the term drips irony given the alleged pacifist predilections of the creeps to which it refers. TheLeft Sinister has no sense of humor, is immune to sarcasm, cannot be shamed, won't even call out each other for murder, so why would they do it for inconsistency and hypocrisy? The very same thing for which they've been trying to bring Trump down on treason charges -- collusion and money laundering with the Russians to influence the last election -- they've been caught doing themselves. And now they don't want to talk about it. They could not have sunk any lower. (Well, let me not underestimate them yet).
So are we entertaining ourselves with mild ironies, and at that ones that only we acknowledge? Self-pleasuring is still not highly regarded no matter what the Cultural Marxists have been scheming to convince your children of.
Thus I am finding it hard to take seriously most opponents of the "Social Justice" Cretins (SJC) when they still use the SJW designation rather than SJ anything else.
Look I get it. In part it's lazy, in part it's despair. But the consequences of its continued use will be worse than it becoming clichéd.
If I fail to make a strong enough case, you all will continue to feel compelled to use SJW because everyone knows to what sort of creeps SJW refers. But amongst themselves they look at it as a badge of honor — the same always inconsistent idiots who claim waging war is a bad thing even as they now rejoice when one of theirs, wearing a mask, slugs one they believe is one us with a bike lock. And that was only the start, because their behavior and self-aggrandizement have gotten bolder and worse.
I'm sorry if I'm repeating many of my points, but they are significant.
Initially I could see any who opposed them using the term warrior for them in a sarcastic manner. But if there is anything that the SJCretins are consistent about it’s their lacking any sense of humor. Sarcasm and other civilized means of contradictory rhetorical style is wasted on them. Only outright insults in return for the insults they hurl makes any sense nowadays — in fact that’s what conservatives detest about the GOPe types with their insistence we not call the opposition all the sinister terms they deserve. And now their behavior has been revealed to be far in excess of worthy of insult. Treason is a legitimate charge. And I'm only asking that you engage in fitting insults for the less than treasonable useful idiots of the treasonous.
Calling a spade a spade is not only what Trump supporters like the most about Trump, it is also what those who have been luke warm about him give him credit for.
Look the SJWC is a relatively new group. Don’t let them over time ruin the good and noble word warrior
with it being connected to them. Don’t let them wear the badge
dishonorably as the Progs and Libs with their preferred labels have
simply because the SSM has long permitted them those labels.
Both the Progs and libs have an agenda that is diametrically opposed to the longer words associated with them. Progs are the opposite of progressive with their post modernist, critical theory, PC tyrannies they’ve been cooking us with, and the Libs encourage government freedom (tyranny) that constrains individuals (anti-liberty).
Please join me in creating a common parlance that contains a nasty designation for these rotten pukes. Social Justice Cretins doesn’t have to be it. Something, anything else. I’m warning you, over time they will erase the meaning of warrior just at the old meaning of gay can never be reclaimed. Simply don’t allow them SJW any longer. Please!

Perversion is Nine Tenths of the Law
Perversion is nine tenths of the law.
That's the maxim of the new world order being foisted upon previously relatively free peoples all over the globe.
The old maxim easily explains it.
Look at who and what is now in possession of the law.

The Simple, In-Your-Face Intent of "Progressives"

Through the looking glass, a century later. |
This is how everyone with a lick of sense should read it whenever Progs utter the word
I have now provided my readers and their friends with a few JPEGs with which they may now be as explicit of what Progs really mean when they utter the word

Anyone who can provide me with a better way of doing this, please notify me in comments and I'll add the attributed link to this blog-post as a public service.
Of course all of this is related to this set of increments

Seize the Inconsistency
For further demonstration of how slow yours truly can be, I offer the following.
Because the axiom "I before E, except after C" is insufficient, I long ago devised a more extensive mnemonic to aid my spelling (in the days before spell-check).
And to think it only took roughly 6 decades -- well, it demonstrates something.

I before E, except after C;And then, for some reason only known to deep recesses of my mind, at 1 AM this morning, I seized upon the realization that seize is also an exception to the rule.
or when sounding like A, as in neighbor or weigh;
or sounding like air, as in their;
or sounding like ear, as in weird.
And to think it only took roughly 6 decades -- well, it demonstrates something.

It Makes No Sense Only If You Believe the Lies of Liars.
The prequel to today's May Day destruction was reported at JWF this morning. I chose the following reported comment on the destruction in San Francisco as revealing of how tolerant this nation has become in large part because so many are kept in ignorance to the real meaning of words [emphasis added -ed.]
It doesn't make sense only if you do not understand that Marxists hate the MIDDLE CLASS. Only they use the French term for middle class: "bourgeoisie."
There are simply too many "adults" (or use the old polite phrase: "people above the age of majority") who were never warned not to talk to "strangers."* Nor to heed their own wariness when noticing strange behavior. Nor seem to learn why even after being victimized time and time again.
When offered goodies from a man with a smiling face who strangely seems unconcerned while monsters are circling behind him, an adult knows to be looking for the exits while fingering his weapon.
-----
*Strangers meant as limited to a sense of strangeness: that is, sensing odd behavior as strange and rather than dismissing the sense, taking precautions as your own senses warrant.
“They’re coming through the Mission, where there aren’t any corporations, just a lot of small businesses, which is what they’re all about,” he said. “It doesn’t make sense.” -- words of a political naif
It doesn't make sense only if you do not understand that Marxists hate the MIDDLE CLASS. Only they use the French term for middle class: "bourgeoisie."
- Marxists (bums without real work) stage violence in the streets
- at the expense of real workers,
- to further the aims of the Ruling Class
- and the aims of their Wealthy Class backers (to reduce the wealth of the middle class so that they cannot afford to crowd the wealthy out of their favorite vacation spots.)

Recognizing How Primitive Is the Statist Menace
I was going to title this Coming to Grips with..., but recognition is needed first.
Mark Alger is a fine writer and thinker. One reason that I visit him so regularly is that he is concise in his observations and conclusions. For me, that's very important, because I fall asleep too easily nowadays, and he tends to keep things short.
This evening was no different. In his complaint about how Obama spoke of sacrifice -- as if his taxes on us were freely given rather than imposed upon us -- Mark offered A Clue for the Regime:
So here is the comment Mark inspired in me today.

This evening was no different. In his complaint about how Obama spoke of sacrifice -- as if his taxes on us were freely given rather than imposed upon us -- Mark offered A Clue for the Regime:
Sacrifice, if it's not voluntary, is a taking -- theft. A true sacrifice is a gift, freely given. Your use of the word "sacrifice" in the context of increasing the barely-legal theft of money from the already-cash-strapped American people is despicable.Well, you regular readers know me. What with my primary concern being encouraging all who will listen to pass along the need to fight the growing threat from neo-Malthusian nuts and thugs, you might very well think that the word sacrifice used in this manner would catch my attention, wouldn't you?
So here is the comment Mark inspired in me today.
Hold on there just a sec there buddy. I get your point fine enough, but you aren't properly deploying your historical telescope and focusing back far enough. That, my friends, is how primitive is the Statist menace. It is a menace that sees its major goals are very nearly attained. Ridding us of Obama will not put an end to our woes. The forces who foisted him upon us have many others willing to do their bidding. Kind of like how willing is the media lapdogs to lie for them, but with the promise of more prestige. We will need more than a great deal of luck, something along the lines of divine help and guidance, to reverse their rotten gains.
Way, way back, sacrifice was a state imposed function. Things were mandated to be thrown into Moloch's holocaust. Little things. Like first born males.
Face it Alger: The Buma is a throw-back, as is everythingproregressive. The real problem is that we are not simply fighting the Buma, we are fighting the forces who arranged for him to be on his throne.

And the Winner is "SKUNC"
Many thanks to all the contestants who entered. I hope you all had fun poking fun at the members of the "progressive" RINO unfaithful, deceitful wing of the GOP.
The winning entry was submitted by Guy S, proprietor of the blog Snugg Harbor. Congratulations Guy. Check your email to find the more substantive thanks for providing me with what I consider to be the acronym with imagery that most closely fulfilled my request.
Guy tried many entries until he struck on the acronym SKUNC. Guy played with variations on the words that comprise SKUNC, which is the essence of what wordplay is all about. When he came up with what I considered the leading candidate to win the contest, I encouraged him to rearrange the underlying he had so that no articles or prepositions were required. So he came up with
Now, once we recognize that there are a wide number of national "leaders" so inclined, why not go on to the next step? Why not recognize that the SKUNCs are setting the stage to make their countries vassels of an international body?
Well, the current body that comes closest to that is the UN. Guy and I and Joan of Argghh! have found one formulation that is most agreeable to all three of us. We think that
To my mind, the Kneeling version pretty much describes the behavior of the as yet undeclared globalist leanings of those in ruling positions or high elective office around the globe. And so I personally recommend "Statists Kneeling to United Nations Control" to any and all who might care for a new descriptive acronym.
So far the only leaders who appear to be running against this trend toward a new, but now world-wide, collectivist government, are those in a good number of the former iron curtain countries of Eastern Europe. But that remains to be seen.
There are some very powerful people -- the type who cast but shadows on Plato's cave wall -- who are on the verge of achieving an ages old dream of world domination. Does anybody believe a few small bloc Eastern bloc nations, Switzerland, Singapore, and Taiwan, are going to resist this force, do you? Once the US has succumbed, all are doomed.
The "shadows" think that the only force that could stop them now does not exist. And if He does, well, why not force His hand and get it over with? We are witnessing the age of the truly arrogant and dangerous. I pray the bulk of us survive it. Innocent human life is sacred. Innocence should not be weighed based upon the usefulness of the life as subjectively determined by the human animal determinations management of they who seek to rule Earth.
P.S.
We still do not have [Update: we do] a special name for the"progressive" Statist members of the Republican Party for which RINO I find thoroughly inappropriate and laughable. It is their activity over which is most threatening. Should they vote with the Democrats, there would be enough votes to sign away United States Sovereignty under the treaty provisions of the US Constitution. Should they go far enough, they will give away to the UN body the full power of the US and its military. That would be the teeth for enforcement the UN currently lacks. For those traitors I've a special modifier for SKUNC that I plan on revealing tomorrow.
Let today belong to Guy S.

Statists Knowingly Undermining National Charters
shortly thereafter. This works because the drive to undermine all western nations so that they accept a global government appears to be the foremost common attribute all over the world. Like suddenly the words of John Lennon's Imagine -- "imagine no countries" -- are now permissible to incline towards, if not openly utter, everywhere around the globe. The fact that the "leaders" so represented stink of their duplicitous intentions, makes them all candidates for the label SKUNC.Now, once we recognize that there are a wide number of national "leaders" so inclined, why not go on to the next step? pretty much provides a vivid image of the international "dignitaries" bowing to the new world order and giving away their country's sovereignty by treaty. If the United States does that, a signed and ratified treaty could put its armed forces under the command of the UN or whatever new name the international body finally decides upon. That would provide the UN the clout it now lacks. No country on earth could withstand her, and that includes us in the U.S. of A.To my mind, the Kneeling version pretty much describes the behavior of the as yet undeclared globalist leanings of those in ruling positions or high elective office around the globe. Something Other Than RINO
Republican In Name Only. RINOs. Sounds like rhinos. But it does not carry any stigma for those whom we call RINO. There is good reason for this.
America is ostensibly a constitutional republic. There are other forms of republic, of which America was never intended to be, but into which it has always been in danger of transitioning. The most favorable sounding is a Platonic republic. It is, in short, a republic ruled by the best and brightest of its citizens -- the true elite. There are downsides to such a government, because of arrogance that too often overcomes the best of intentions of people who think highly of themselves and are being flattered about their status regularly.
But what if we have people who think of themselves as elites primarily because they associate with other members who also think of themselves as elites? A mutual admiration society at the highest levels of power. They would lack most of the true accomplishments that an elite force might have, but have all of its arrogance. It's bad enough to have American school children who score near the bottom of the world's students in math and science, while scoring the highest in self esteem. It's much worse to have politicians sitting at the top of the most powerful nation on earth who have the highest self-esteem and are dolts.
Well, I maintain we'd have some Republican representatives who think exactly that they are Plato's dream come to fruition, but are, in reality, some of the most deluded souls in all of America. They bridle at having their self-assessed good intentions limited by a piece of paper known as the constitution. Yeah, they took an oath to protect and defend that constitution, but oaths are for subjects, not rulers. Everybody knows that.
Anyway -- isn't it that sort of person at the highest levels of the GOP who we conservatives consistently call RINOs? We are hoping to be derisive and inflict at least a bit of pain so that they might notice. Here's a news flash: It. Doesn't. Work.
Get this straight. We conservatives think of the Republican Party as the party of limited government. Ronald Reagan even said that. And we're pretty sure that's a major plank in the party's platform, but we could be behind the times.
The reality is -- and it should be as plain as day after 30 years or so of using the term RINO -- that when we callProgressive Statist Republicans RINOs, they think we're simply too dumb to understand. In their own minds they are elitist Republicans, and they have their friends who agree that they are the elite.
We live in an age where the corrupt and powerful are shameless. Still, if scorn is heaped high enough, it reveals their thinking that the rest of us are stupid. No despots can withstand such exposure for long. Help penetrate the pomposity of Statist Republicans and maybe save this great nation.

History Wordplay
History to me is His story.
From the beginning of creation up until now, the spool of time has been unwinding. Thus, if you believe in God the Creator, well history is His story. Yet even believers will rarely get the history correct, because there are so many different ways to believe in Him. Or not at all. Belief in men, or a man, or in other forms of life or concepts, they will all look to history to validate their view.
So we have come to this current time with variations on history, many which claim they are the right, or correct history, depending on which axe they're grinding. (One of my favorites is how archeologists keep finding stuff that are hundreds of years out of sync. The mental gymnastics required for historians to save face on all the apparently incorrect sequences they'd concocted really ought to be in the Olympics. It's world class sophistry.)
And as global Statism grows, the variations of history will be contested only up to that point that it serves the State. For as Orwell warns us
"We are at war with capitalists; we always have been at war with capitalists."
And so that will be one thread of history. It will be like many others as the need arises. But in this special instance, since Communism (or socialism or whatever our rulers wanna call it) doesn't work, then when it is right for the all knowing all powerful State to hit the restart button, it will be:
"We are at war with communists; we always have been at war with communists."
But the reality, if you grok that God can also be a concept (even if He exists, He's done His best to leave each of us with our own concept of Him no matter what high holy men tell us), then every thing that really happens IS history. We may not know it, but it is. Like that proverbial tree that falls in the forest, it does indeed make a sound whether or not we sense it ourselves, since there are no forests in vacuums, and the laws of the universe tell us that it will resound.
So yes, history may come to us from honest wise scribes, or it has been altered by fools or charlatans. But what we must continue to seek is the most accurate accounting so that we can come to know and understand what is.
And maybe become truly wise in the process.
See? It is His Story.

Wordplay
I've been told by quite a number of people something along the following lines:
I refuse to believe this is true. Dammit.
For one thing, I never liked being talked down to, and I don't think anyone else does either, so I will assume my listeners will be unafraid to ask for explanations should they be necessary. For another thing, I'm not that quick (something "intelligent" often implies). I'm curious about some things and will pursue them. But I'm also a slow reader by choice, and don't have the time to fully ferret out everything, and so often stop short. I retain for a long time what I've read or seen. I explore tangents to the things that catch my attention. So I've a wide knowledge, not necessarily intelligently applied. If some think me intelligent, it's only because I spent time accumulating knowledge and seeking wisdom, not because it came readily to me.
And here is maybe the most pertinent thing for this essay: our American educational system did its utmost to keep me from learning in breadth and depth in the same manner it has likely done that to you. I want to help any who seek it. Hence this post today. I want to try to bring remedy to that. I want to thwart the ignorance peddlers.
We Americans have been saddled by a bureaucratic nightmare in the eduction establishment. If there are a majority of Americans who do not know or care about their own language, their own history, their own economic system, their own political system, and their own religious heritage, it is because the bureaucracy has found a way to undermine the human thirst for knowledge, and the sense of survival that is served by it. Our anti-human wannabe masters want a lot of us to not care about our own survival. This comes from the not-so-much-any-more sub rosa Sus worshiping green movement's influence. And destroying the understanding that would aid an individual's survival certainly fills that goal.
Our very language is filled with nuance that tells us a great deal. Most importantly, it informs us of the various ways schemers go about abusing the latitude a free society has gifted them with. That language also is full of information that helps us understand human nature without having to go to a behavioral expert (much to the chagrin of those who make money telling us how we should behave).
Look, a few days ago I had reason to shed some light on the word sophisticated. It seems to have fallen on deaf ears. But it's a word chock full of meaning many have not been exposed to.
I'd like to begin a series called Wordplay. Do you think you might find this interesting?
The damn school system probably made you hate studying vocabulary.
What if I could make it more interesting.
Would you read it?
Do you think it could help you better influence your neighbors? Give me a clue.
Pascal, there may be ten people in the English speaking world who would understand or even care how you are using that word.Of course, the critique is usually accompanied by the explanation that I am more intelligent than most, and so I can't expect other to know what I'm talking about.
