"Death Panels" Now Bipartisan Words

Some news today helps sustain my comments of yesterday. I wrote about why I shifted from being a Sarah Palin supporter to being skeptical.

I loved her looks; her dynamic personality; her origins; and the things she said. And if you hit my Palin label, you will see I may have been the first to understand PDS and to rail against it.

However, after learning of some of the things she had done while she was governor of Alaska (naming only two awful things: AGW policies and endorsing the UN Law of the Sea Treaty) I became disillusioned in her.

And when she campaigned, in the CA GOP primaries, for two female SKUNCs (Carly Fiorina to oppose Boxer and Meg Whitman to oppose Brown) against real conservatives in the primaries, plus helping the despicable McCain retain his senate seat, I can only say that I hope the type of character that Palin represents is NOT disqualified as you [commenter Paul] suggest with "I doubt we see her equal again." Because I yearn to live to see the real thing.

Our enemies know what we like, and are clever enough to provide us facsimiles of the real thing. You will notice that Palin and family are today richer than they ever could have legitimately become serving in public office. A large part of her money came from people like me who wanted to help her fight the two-minute hate machine, which in the least would be the chivalrous thing for us to do.

Never forget that Orwell made it clear in 1984 that the opposition to Big Brother was an institution taken over and run by the inner party.
So when Palin became the first to call out Obamacare's Independent Payment Advisory Board as death panels, I was perplexed. My readers know I was aware of these things long before she called them out. And I would have been delighted if any other national personality had called attention to them.  But Sarah Palin, having long been serving as our Soviet-Style Media's two minute hate object, pretty much made her the worst, counter-productive choice for sounding such an alarm.

So when the news comes out that Howard Dean, of all people, acknowledges that Palin was correct, Howard Dean admits Sarah Palin was right on ‘death panels,’ I hope you understand what I meant by "Our enemies know what we like, and are clever enough to provide us facsimiles of the real thing."

It's been a liberal trick that was noticeable since Archy Bunker was created by the radical Leftist Norman Lear.  Bunker was given lines that spoke little truths now and then, but always in all the wrong ways. The character was created specifically to discredit anything he said because he said it. Thus Bunker provided liberal wags ways to avoid answering all conservative arguments by turning them into personal attacks "why, you sound like Archy Bunker."

Same thing here. "Death Panels? You sound like Sarah Palin, Haw haw." And no further discussion ensued. Until today.

And so what? Obamacare has been passed in part because the most antihuman part of it was laughed out of the discussion. It was there, but dismissed. The means of dismissing it was diabolical. And it worked.

So now you know how this was done disreputably, do we still have a chance to stop it? Yes, but it is a long shot.

The House of Representatives can, on its own, derail the ACA implementation by refusing to fund it. But whether House Speaker John Boehner is just another SKUNC or merely a weakling, it matters little. It will take some very loud voices to force him to comply with your wishes. If there were many more like my readers, the derailment might actually happen. But I just don't see it right now short of Divine intervention.

Still, do whatever you can. So many people you know who are still unaware are facing a very grim and unnecessary death.

You Knew Weasels Could Brew

You knew weasels could brew a tempest in a teapot. Take one word, infuse some heat into it, and stand back while the fools get all bent out of shape.

Well such major blow-ups of small distractions are the kind of side-show made to order to benefit the Alinskyites in our State Department and Obamitall regime. As they go about destabilizing the world, it sure does help to have the Agency of Lies at your disposal running all their pie-holes at once.

Have you heard about Rick Santorum opining to S.E.Cupp why Sarah Palin declined to give the CPAC keynote address?

You will.

I put just two words Santorum Palin into a Bing search.

Long ago I told you that Sarah Palin was being Emmanual Goldsteined. There is nothing said about her that can't be manipulated. Even the daily two-minutes hate needs some variety from time to time. (Not that long ago it was Santorum who was the object of that hate. Do you recall someone observing that irony was dead do you not?)

I repeat: Stand back. Try not to get involved except maybe to point a mocking finger at those drawn in.

Sarah Palin, Orwellian Target

"I don't see why the left even bothers with their relentless attacks on Sarah Palin when you've got these milquetoast RINO's doing the work for them." -JWF
This wistful observation is how JWF began Irony: Palin's a Quitter, Says Woman Who Quit EPA Job After Two Years. He and a many others still don't get it. Nobody wants to get "it." It is too painful to think about, the fear of scornful reception makes it too threatening to discuss. Dammit people. This is how power-grabs are accomplished most easily: by instilling fears over actually discussing the mechanics of power-grabs.

Palin, quite simply, is being used as the Statists' two-minutes hate object. An Orwellian target is something we should easily recognize. And the worst implications of the device, given all the resources poured into servicing it, need to be explored by cooler patriotic heads because its purpose is to divide and undermine us.

RINOs and Leftists both hate her because she fits the bill for Alinsky rule #12. She is liked by vast numbers of independents because she carries herself as one of them. So she is used as the natural embodiment and personification of the TEA Party. It's the sophisticates against the great unwashed, the inner party against the proles.

As our world becomes more Orwellian, you have to expect the State entities (parties and Minitrue) to hurl invective at its opposition. And Palin fits that bill as Trotsky fit it for Stalin.

One more thing --

iAnother/i Emmanuel Goldsteining

Another Emmanuel Goldsteining

More proof how our world is becoming more Orwellian day by day. Read this story at JWF: 'If Beck Isn't Stopped, I Think We'll Have Another Oklahoma City [bombing] in This Country'

The message, driven by Soros' Media Matters, is that Glenn Beck must be stopped from broadcasting. He is too effective in alerting people to history and thereby organizing opposition to the "Progressives" thieving pigs who are systematically trampling our rights one by one.
"Every sponsor of every Fox show should be put on notice that this insanity is being underwritten by [advertisers]," Brock says. He adds: "If Beck isn't stopped, I think we'll have another Oklahoma City [bombing] in this country."

As JWF says:
So advertisers are being "put on notice" and Glenn Beck must be "stopped." If I didn't know better I would say these thugs are making threats.
This, combined with the Two Minutes Hate-like demonstrations at MSNBC by loons like Olbermann, resembles too much the campaigns by the Statist regime in Orwell's 1984 against its opponents. It is a  form of demonizing that I call "Emmanuel Goldsteining." (The most chilling thing in that novel was that the State was so thoroughly running every aspect of life that they long ago infiltrated the opposition so that now they were running it. The opposition was organized to entrap every outer party member who had qualms about their role in serving Big Brother. It sought after and sucked in desperate consciences like Winston Smith.)

I realize this threat to Beck and his backers is not the first effort of its kind by the Left/Statist alliance.  I pointed out how the Left has used Sarah Palin to personalize and focus (Alinsky rule #12) we who oppose them 18 months ago.

This is an addition to PF's chronicle of Statist growth.

The Emmanuel Goldsteining of Sarah P

The Emmanuel Goldsteining of Sarah P is what I conclude has been an ongoing two step process we have been observing and often participating in.
  1. The statists and their media want us to focus on Sarah Palin to get the focus off them.
  2. They seem to want us to think of her as the embodiment of their opposition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For those who do not recall details of George Orwell's novel "1984" I will mark* them as I mention them below: Emmanuel Goldstein* was the alleged leader of the opposition to the ruling party of the novel's totalitarian country. I say alleged because it was not clear if he exists or ever existed. He simply serves as the whipping boy for all bad things. And good party members were expected to participate in daily cathartic exercises called "The Two Minutes Hate"* in which images of Goldstein and his brotherhood* and allies were flashed across media (Ministry of Truth*) controlled viewing screens* everywhere (really everywhere) in the country.

I decided to write of this today because someone made the following proposal which seems to be the generic wish of most people who would rather focus on solving problems than the politicians who exploit them.
"There are a lot more important, even dire, issues we face right now. ... Certainly, our politicians have more important things to discuss right now than Palin’s future." -- Rob
I attempted to point out to Rob, "Well, good luck with that" It is not as if it is we who determine what the Ministry of Truth and party hacks will consider important and promote into a brouhaha. Another pointed out the threatened trials of GWB and his officials would also become prominent; they would be persecuted in show-trials such as those endured by alleged members of "The Brotherhood."*

Look. I know there are people who think George Orwell’s dystopic vision is passé for any of a number of reasons, some reasonable, some silly. Nevertheless, Sarah P, whether she or we like it or not, appears to be serving as our ruling class’ Emmanuel Goldstein.

If only she was subjected to simply two minutes hate every day.

It’s more like an industry has sprung up to deliver to us some variation of it 24/7. And it’s been going on every single day for coming up on a full year. Will there be a first anniversary doubleplus* hate session? Count on it!

(How about, instead, a first anniversary memorial session to remind us that once, long ago, it was still okay to be normal?)

She has so been the target of BOTH party’s core leadership that it is bordering on proof positive that the “two” parties share the same central command office.

It has become cliché to say that aiming at Sarah is deliberate so as to divert our focus from the widespread thefts and multifaceted constitutional violations. Well, duh!

Bottom line: The attention directed at Sarah is so obviously diversionary, it is logical to expect that if any birth certificate is eventually made public, it will be hers.

So you think that Bush Derangement Syndrome has been bad?

I think Palin Derangement Syndrome is gonna top it.

A Palin' Reactions

I know there are those who want to know what I think about the most recent political developments. Well, I'm still biden' my time about what pascal fervor has to say about the reactions.

On a human note: I worry for Sarah almost as much as I worry for our republic. Both should be able to take care of themselves except, well, except for the imminent presence of those who are not as they appear. Come back soon and I'll expound.
