GOPe Skaters

There is so much in damning evidence in the news this week, and it's not what the Dem radicals and snakes have been expecting. I'm not gonna link to any of it today.

I hope  you find my opinion based analysis helpful to your understanding of how power-seeking has worked so well so far to defeat the constitutional limits on government's growth, and why American citizens have had such a hard time trying to get them to back off.
I worry that the GOPe will get in there as they are wont to do and protect their Dem buddies from the latest and ever more damning revelations.

There must be a hell of lot of GOPe who are involved here indirectly. But they know how to look squeeky clean by staying levels away from the action like mob kingpins.

If the corruption exposures fall only on Dems, 1) it will smell of partisanship, and worse 2) the rotten GOPe will skate to live and threaten us again.

Most anyone who comes here to read already knows that it’s the uniparty that makes the swamp what it is. This is how it works.

  • The uniparty lets the radicals make demands;
  • all Dems have no choice but to support it at risk not only to their careers, but also their lives and families;
  • and the GOPe runs interference for the swamp agenda, keeping the conservative wing of the GOP marginalized;
  • GOP constitutionalists are threatened functionally by the GOPe, and more personally by the Dem radicals and the media (but I repeat myself).

The thought of the GOPe escaping all this shakeup sickens me.

While it looks like many Dem operatives are self-destructing (they were unprepared for a Hillary loss), the GOPe have always been more clever and stay far away from the crimes.

God I pray the GOPe snakes will one day soon be hoist by their own devices. That would be so just and sweet. Dream on Pascal.

More GOPe Destructive Footdragging Aiding Their Democratic Buddies

For you who still believe electing any person with an (R) next to their name and obtaining a Republican majority means that the Right is in control, I've more evidence to demonstrate how that is not so. Indeed, you can see that their recalcitrance in the following story would inevitably lead to Democratic wins in coming elections because the Republican Party in power didn't fix what they were elected to fix.

And the reason it didn't fix those things is because the GOPe keeps finding excuses. I have to keep this short. Let me just leave you a prime example: the Obamacare "reform" battle.

Conservative Senators Take Aim at Primary GOPe Excuse for Insistence on Passing Obamacare Repeal that Doesn't Repeal the Most Damaging Parts

Witnessing When the GOPe Role is Most Essential to Continued Statism

I find this link http://trumptrainnews.com/articles/trump-fbi-director-interviews
troubling.

Of the four names being interviewed for FBI director, the one I recognize is Sen John Cornyn — a GOPe of the highest order. He’s the current Senate Whip (AKA leg breaker to assure enough votes tailored to McConnell’s orders).

Without my providing all the evidence that supports the following: The job of the GOPe when the Right seems to be in power is to demand policies that placate the Left despite the Left having done nothing of the sort while it was in power. Such as just now putting a revised Obamacare on a tax basis that sustains the power of government over healthcare rather than returning healthcare to the free market.

If Cornyn is the sort of the other choices, or of the choices to come, and the final pick is much closer to a Lindsay Graham type rather than a Ted Cruz type, then we know Trump is just another frontman for the oligarchs.

Remember, there is no nominee who can be filibustered thanks to Harry Reid, so no nominee can be too far right while the GOP holds the senate. And the only way a nominee can be voted down is if Cornyn can’t whip the votes to get the nominee passed (wink, wink). Damned GOPe will be outed but don’t expect most talk-show hosts to make an issue of the exposure. You heard it hear first.

Going on — we will know we’ve been had in style and we can expect more of the same. We will get Leftism but on a paying basis — aka Statism — in a manner similar to what Nixon pulled off.

I’ve seen it all done before, so I’m not just pulling this out of my ass. My number one understanding of Progs is that the current generation has no genius amongst them, so they always do whatever has worked before. They are the quintessential throwbacks and their goal is enslavement of the entire globe. Feudalism 2.0.

Anyway, watch who is chosen for FBI director. If it's a GOPe (AKA as SKUNC on this blog) or an unknown rather than a staunch constitutionalist, then not only may we expect far more disappointments ahead, but many of the people the FBI targets will NOT be radical Leftists or dangerous aliens, and far more will be what the bureau labels as "wingers."

A wonderful insight and a related observation

Wow.
‘..The big stuff, wars, moon landings, civilizations, doesn’t matter. Everything has been reduced to the lowest common denominator of personal insecurities masquerading as politics and entertainment reduced to fame for fame’s sake celebrities. All of it is calculated to match the workday routine of a twenty-something female college graduate working in media. Because that is mostly who writes it.
…Our enemies have set out big goals. We must set out bigger ones. We must become more than conservatives. If we remain conservatives, then all we will have is the America we live in now. And even if our children and grandchildren become conservatives, that is the culture and nation they will fight to conserve. We must become revolutionaries. We must think in terms of the world we want. Not the world we have lost.’
Daniel Greenfield

That’s an orthodox Jew perspective if I’ve ever seen one and it’s one of the best things to learn from the faith: it fully recognizes the hegemony of Natural Law so a reader doesn’t even have to be of their faith.

It reminds us that Abraham himself was a revolutionary.

Too bad his seed had so much in-fighting, usually involving jealousies and covetousness.

Ike hated by Ish, Jake hated by Esav, Joe hated by his bros, the Israelites hated by the Amalekites, set the pattern that is merely a repetition of what is endemic in the whole of the human race.

The last commandment, thou shalt not covet, were it strictly adhered to, would likey lead to the end of war.

People who admire others and don’t covet what the others have or can do are usually the most productive and loving people I know.

So what do we have now? Western Civilization hated by its current rulers for much the same reason as those revealed in scripture. Hence there is why our governments are also at war with Judeo-Christianity and its scriptures. It exposes how their actions are in parallel with all the evil-doers there.

Hence Greenfield is correct.

Hillary Is Out & Here's Why - update 1

They who ignore the lessons of history are condemned to repeat it.

Whatever use the Clintons provided for Obama before, the finest thing they could do for him now is not regain power. Lenin did not see his mortal danger from Stalin before it was too late. Stalin never permitted anyone to retain power for too long. Even exiled Trotsky knew his days were numbered. The other apparatchiks who outlived their usefulness never saw it coming. When Stalin died, there was a collective sigh of relief throughout the Soviet Union as each apparatchik displayed his grief over the loss of Uncle Joe in perfect double-think harmony.

As long as Obama is reasonably sure that the press will continue to sing his praises, he may not even be worried about any dirt that Hillary and her backers have on him.  So that is one of the major calculations that are on-going. How much does what she knows trouble Obama? My guess is almost nothing.  So should the Justice department actually indict her, I foresee conviction. Why? A wounded Queen would be extremely dangerous.

In my opinion, Obama and his handlers do not want to worry about retaliation for real or imagined slights to the Clintons -- just the cloud from the threat of indictments are exactly that -- so there is not a chance in hell that he will permit Hillary to be the Democratic candidate.

And if I am right -- and I hope many others see this before it is too late -- the most important aspect of the next GOP candidate better not be "who will be the best to beat Hillary." Because that will be preparing to battle the wrong war.

Zoom in on Bill's eyes -- yowsa!
There is no way in hell that Xero will let Hillary reign. As suggested in comments, more likely he arranges for Moochelle to be the Dem candidate. Fitting too in that it's a tactic right out of George Wallace's playbook. He may even point to that as precedent. LOL

Sitting Senator Breaks Collective Silence

Why did it take until today for a sitting senator to state what has been obvious to principled conservatives for decades?

“We’ve just seen something extraordinary on the Senate floor. The American people elected a Republican majority believing that a Republican majority would be somehow different from a Democratic majority in the United States Senate. Unfortunately, the way the current Senate operates, there is one party, the Washington party.” -- Senator Ted Cruz ("Independent," TX)

The answer is that the senate has a tradition of enforced niceties, so frank language is usually very risky. Frankly, niceties are a luxury at this point, and it seems that Cruz is one of the few (like Mike Lee) who understand this.

However, at this point the two parties' combined action and inaction in destroying the rule of law -- the rule of law being essentially what has made this a great republic -- appears irreversible. So for a sitting senator breaking the collective silence about bipartisan complicity not only seems too late, it looks too much like it is being done for personal advancement, if not by Lee, at least by Cruz in his run for president.

Anyway, now seems like a good time for me to re-post the cartoon I commissioned in 2002 when things were still not that far out of hand.
It is a crying shame that more people did not make many similar cartoons and repeatedly drive the point home when combined outrage by the electorate might have had a chance. Instead they waited until 2009 to form the TEA party movement.

It's such a pity that you may not live to see how bad it can become and that your posterity will pay for the consequences of your lack of vision.

Perversion is Nine Tenths of the Law

Perversion is nine tenths of the law.

That's the maxim of the new world order being foisted upon previously relatively free peoples all over the globe.

The old maxim easily explains it.

Possession is nine tenths of the Law.

Look at who and what is now in possession of the law.

Diagnosis By a Quack

Seeing as how he feels he can be unrestrained, and has broken his collegial phoniness airs of the US Senate, I declare John Quackain a quack rather than some more accurate designation reserved for a later date. As Guy S had reevaluated the partisans he previously so designated, SKUNC appears to be a far too understated label.

From the top of Drudge this morning.

Ronald Reagan's Political Model

Today Is the 102nd anniversary of Ronald Reagan's birth.

Many revere the man not so much for his years in office but for voicing his vision of American ideals clearly and with enthusiasm. Among the best examples of that vision was elucidated in his 1964 stump speech "A Time for Choosing." Excerpt:

You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well I'd like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There's only an up or down: up to man's ages-old dream, the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. And regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motive, those who would trade our freedom for security have embarked on this downward course.

It was delivered on behalf of Barry Goldwater's run for president. But far more effectively, it established Mr. Reagan as a first-rate conservative voice in America.

Wait. Don't leave yet just because you think you have heard the 1964 speech before.

Some time in Mr Reagan's first term as president, circa 1982, while traveling in my car, I heard what I consider to be a very important expansion on that speech. I have repeatedly tried to find that later version, but I have not yet succeeded.

So I had a dilemma. Continue to search and wait to pass along what Mr. Reagan attempted to portray or pass along his words as best as I could recall. I made the decision a few years ago that until  someone answers my request to unearth the last version of that speech and provide the man's actual words, I would on various occasions publish it. It is what I remember about Mr. Reagan's more detailed explanation of the political mechanism that Americans find themselves saddled with and he meant for you to know it.

He clearly was attempting to provide us with a new model that could be used to override the Marxist model that he rejected. In my opinion he was correct in rejecting it. When we stick to the mono-directional model made famous by Marx and promulgated by our media, we are playing on the field of their choosing. Mr. Reagan offered us an alternative, and we ought to have learned to listen to him by now.

Please forgive me my inabilities to be precise. It is more important that those who love freedom know the essence of his vision as I recall them.

Thank you.

As best as I can recall, Mr. Reagan referred to a political platform. He likened what he considered to be the Marxist political spectrum of left and right to a see-saw of a platform.

The Left would gain control, and they'd pile up programs on their side of the platform. The foundation beneath the platform would begin to sink from the weight of their efforts. This resulted in the platform being tilted noticeably. It made the voters feel uncomfortable. So the voters would turn to the Right to straighten things out.

Well the right might try to prop up the left side a bit, and refill the foundation, but in doing so, they'd dig a hole under their side of the platform next. Those who gain power always have interests who want something back -- usually in the form of legislation that favors them or taxes their competitors -- for their support. Thus the weight of these efforts and favors repaid cause the platform to tip to the right this time. That sinking feeling leaves the voters uncomfortable again.

So the voters would then put the Left back into power. And the Left would begin to fill in the hole under the right, but pile up more programs on their side and drive their side of the platform even deeper into the foundation of America's liberties.

And so it would go on, back and forth, Left and Right, Left then Right. Pretty soon the citizens of this great nation would find themselves in a pit of despair; a pit dug by the machinations of those who built up the oppressive weight of government. Government has been built up incrementally, one law after another, ruling upon ruling, practice becoming entrenched policy. And it was all done under the guise of representing a left or a right side, but both headed in one direction -- into the pit of tyranny. All those vested interests would insist it stay that way. Worse, as they'd get more demanding they'd cloak it with fairness. They were owed all that they'd "earned" for their efforts to gain "their people" power in the past.

At some point the vast majority of Americans will insist on climbing out of the hole dug for them by this political machine -- that single minded and ruthless incremental see-saw of power-seeking achieved by eating away at the foundation of our liberties. Taxes and regulations and busybodyness that is in no way justified in a nation dedicated to individual freedom.

Americans were passed a birthright containing the fresh air of freedom. It is what  our Founders had envisioned, and it is what our fathers fought to keep. And it's pretty much still been available to most Americans for around 200 years. If we do not stop the digging soon, somewhere along the way, Americans will demand to be let out of this pit. May God bless them then as He has in the past.

It is my opinion that the Tea Party movement is the realization of Mr. Reagan's vision. We will no longer limit ourselves to the thinking that we must choose to accept a Left or a Right.  We are trying to climb out of the Marxist/Statist pit dug by influential forces who've been incrementally overriding the restraints on their power. We are seeking freedom from the tyranny of those tired old partisans who claim to be working for our common good but are enthusiastically enslaving us and our posterity.

Rove Begins the Split of the GOP

The Establishment Republicans have finally decided it's gonna be them alone without anyone else I guess. Who made Karl Rove King of the GOP?

Rove Declares War On the TEA Party.
“biggest donors in the Republican Party [coincidentally includes many of the biggest donors to the Democratic Party]” have joined forces with Karl Rove and Steven J. Law, president of American Crossroads, to create the Conservative Victory Project. ...this new group will dedicate itself to “recruit seasoned candidates and protect Senate incumbents from challenges by far-right conservatives and Tea Party enthusiasts who Republican leaders worry could complicate the party’s effort to win control of the Senate.”

If that title seems a bit raw, you ain't seen nothing yet. Here's Ace on the subject:

The Establishment Strikes Back: Rove Group To Put Money Into Protecting And Promoting Party Favorites From Tea Party Kooks.
So, the same donor group that closed ranks behind Mitt Romney and helped shut out credible challengers has decided that fresh off that success, they are ready to pick candidates for the Senate.

What could go wrong?

And if that isn't enough for you, you'll surely get your fill by listening to the first half hour of Mark Levin today.  Some excerpts
  • I would tell independents and republicans and conservatives and right of center people: you are a target right now. You are target by the Republican Establishment, the RINOs [the SKUNCs] in Washington DC. Because these people really do not believe in reestablishing constitutional government. These people really don't believe in capitalism. They're leaders in the fight for crony capitalism.
  • I want you to remember that when George W Bush was president and controlled both houses of Congress for 6 of his 8 years, the Republicans in the congress and the Republican in the white house were out of control. We'd never seen spending like that in human history.... We did not take a single step in this country towards advancing free market capitalism. We did not take a single step in this country towards reestablishing constitutional government. We have to be honest with ourselves or we cannot effectively address this. [In that last sentence he sounds like me.]
  •  But the worst problem right now, from a political organizing and political strategic point of view, isn't even Obama; it's the Republican Establishment -- the RINOs [the SKUNCs] -- who are trying to hold on to power. Who are trying to hold on to the largesse that they get from the growing federal leviathan.... These are the people we are up against. These are the people we are up against. [sic] ...The parasite class I call them. They no more believe in liberty and capitalism and limited government than the people we're battling. Those are platitudes for these people.
  • Here we are folks, looking into the abyss; hanging on by a thread as a society. Our biggest problem is Barack Obama, and we're being stabbed in the back. Listen to the name this group assigns itself: "The Conservative Victory Project." So here's a project funded by crony capitalists, funded by corporatists, who are not conservative, funding a group called the conservative victory project. This is the sort of thing Obama does, that Marxists do. They give a name to themselves that really has nothing to do with what they're up to in order to try and control the propaganda. To position themselves. "Oh, you're against the conservative victory project." And then you have to spend ten minutes explaining why they're not the conservatives why you are. I'm just showing you how diabolical this is.

Oh, find the time to listen to the first 30 minutes or so. He is well voiced and you'll enjoy it while you learn good talking points.

Conclusion:
Add this threat to your control of the opposition party to what I published on February 1: the long-delayed news (30 years!) that the GOP deliberately has not fought to protect our votes against Democratic Party fraud. I think you have a quite enough already in the recipe for abandoning the GOP in total and moving on to the next steps with the zeal that begot the TEA Party.

What Will You Do?

If Bumney was to throw the election to Bummer like McLame did in 2008 in the last pro-wrestling match, what would you do to force him to win?

This is an election of Anybody But Obama for me. And for a whole subcontinent load of other Americans (and foreigners) too.

So since there really is no other option short of God showing up to rain death and destruction on all lost souls, what will you do to see to it that Bummer loses?

Better the Bumney we don't know than the Bummer we do, eh what droogies?

You've Heard of Tweedledum and Tweedledee

Well it's time to recognize that the shadowy powers have a replacement for Bummer: It's Bumney

Guaranteed, after Romney gets elected there'll be people playing with his name much as we've all done with  the current puppet after he was inserted into the oval office (with all the qualifications laid down by the Dilbert Principle). At least Bumney has some qualifications outside of "community organizer."

Anyway here's my current "optimistic" surmise of what I see happening.

America is about to experience the new wave Right similar to Key of New Zealand. Bumney will be the next Prez because Bummer's radicals staying in charge would rock the boat too much, so the shadowy powers want him under his bus. (This surmise runs contrary to the idea of fanning a race war that I wrote about a couple of day ago: the pessimistic version of the future.)

Now that Bummer has pushed the Statist growth to an unsustainable limit of growth, they need Bumney to come in to consolidate the gains without breaking the infrastructure entirely. The sheeple will be so happy for the relief they'll accept the soft Statism and forget, forget, forget the constitutional threats that remain.

In this bizarro world that we are experiencing right now, this manipulation of our politics may seem far too prudent. When was the last time we saw sanity on our public stages?) But you know what your signal is that the tide is turning? More and more of this Agency of Lies will turn on the Bummer while the radicals will continue to claim Bumney is a wild-eyed right-winger.

The charade will continue, just a bit more to the Left than before. So we may yet have respite from those crackdowns you envisage. They will be much softer than the Stalinist prediction you could expect if the Bummer is reelected.

Call me an optimist if you wish. That would only be true if Bumney were really be a good shepherd, and not  if people believe that he is. You and I know better. What we see is that America would have back in the White House the Incrementalist version of puppet instead of the radical version we have currently.

That will give us a breather until the next time conservatives need to be elbowed out of the way for the next Leftward thrust. I'd rather see the breather cuz I'm not crazy. But we have got to be very independent sheep dogs. We must be barking at every effort where the new shepherd shows us he's taking us to where the old one did: leading the bulk of the herd to the slaughter house.

Illusions of Control Continue

After stewing on the American situation over the weekend, Og nailed it yesterday, with The illusion of control. With the agents of a shadow empire occupying every institution in our republic, simply voting is not going to get our posterity out of the fix we've gifted them.

Speaking of gifts, today Pat Condell (with his God-given atheist gift) very clearly enunciated  the situation in Europe. Well, except for at the very end (hence the title of my post). Watch for it. (hat tip: Gates of Vienna)

Actually, what Mr. Condell describes is really being mirrored all over what is formally known as the West. He thinks the EU nations can somehow still vote themselves out of it. That's because he's replaced faith in God with (in his own words) faith in Democracy.
"When people stop believing in God, they don't believe in nothing — they believe in anything." -- G.K. Chesterton.
Ah what fools these mortals be.

With Their Owning the Propaganda Mills

it makes no matter how outlandish are their current demands, they make our fight difficult. For example:

“You want us to let up on making it appear that you are holding hostage a billion dollars to help out in the last disaster relief? Well let us keep the few trillion dollars we scheduled to be passed along to our cronies before we lost power last November.”
Let me now rewrite my recent insight.

There is no real compromise with people who want to enslave you. All compromises have permitted your creditors to enslave you piecemeal. As in the above example, they have gained time and again due to the spinelessness, complicity, whatever, of your representatives, and so are showing you no mercy at all.

Newt, Again, Has the Best Lines -- But

"I say it here, it comes out there."  -- TV news-writer Aaron Altman, played by Albert Brooks in the 1987 Comedy "Broadcast News."

Aaron's problem in the movie was that although he knew and understood world events better than any star news reader for whom he provided the intelligence they lacked (William Hurt and Jack Nicholson), he was incapable of speaking in front of a camera without perspiration quite literally pouring from his pores.

I recommend choosing full screen to appreciate the humor. (The embed does not appear in some feeds. Click here if Blooger botches or YouTube restricts the embed at some later date.)

In many ways, Newt Gingrich  reminds me of the fictional Aaron Altman.

Newt's responses last night could not have been much better had he written the questions for Wolf Blitzer.

For instance, as a follow up question from a TEA party questioner to Mr. Huntsman, Mr. Blitzer asked Mr. Gingrich that juicy question about oil company loopholes and fairness. Instantly, Newt first noted the absence of Obama crony GE from the Mr. Blitzer's question, and then went on:
"I was astonished the other night to have the President there in the joint session with the head of GE sitting up there and hear the President talking about taking care of loopholes.  And I thought to myself: doesn't he realize that every green tax credit is a loophole? That everything he wants, everything General Electric is doing is a loophole?"
Both responses drew wide approval from the TEA party audience.

Virtually nobody on the GOP side seems to handle issues as glibly and thoroughly as Mr. Gingrich. What troubles me most is how easily he gets along with the opposition, something I am sure most every person affected by the TEA Party sentiment also senses.

Recall Mr. Gingrich infamously sitting comfortably alongside the notorious Mrs. Pelosi to give a non-partisan look to an Anthropomorphic Global Warming Fraud propaganda commercial. Yet here he was slamming loopholes that that commercial helped get passed.

Here, unlike the amiable but too easily embarrassed writer Aaron Altman, Mr. Gingrich shows no signs of sweat as he makes it sound as if green loopholes were put in place by the Buma with no help from him.

And there are many more twisted connections between Mr. Gingrich and the Left. Please recall how Mr. Gingrich was bogusly driven from Congress in 1998 in what appeared to be payback from old friends of former Dem Speaker Jim Wright whom Mr. Gingrich had similarly driven out. What was astonishing was that the suddenly unemployed Mr. Gingrich immediately was invited into a business partnership with a financial crony of the Clinton's, Ira Magaziner (Hillary-Care's committee chair IIRC). WTF?

This is where Mr. Gingrich demonstrates his physical similarity to Aaron Altman. Mr. Gingrich oozes elitist political connections from every pore. And that, my friends, just won't pass scrutiny with TEA Party members.

PS
I have my doubts that anybody with a wider readership will pick up on this bit I presented here today, but I did it anyway. If the rest of the dextrosphere wants to continue and ignore the smell coming from these "debates" it won't be because I did not try.

Seeking to Be The Sovereign Automatically Delegitimizes His Sworn Oath

Even when they act in this way, our rulers cannot admit they think themselves now superior over other Americans. It becomes up to us to ascertain whether or not it is mostly true that they seek to do so. And if so shown, demand their significant reform or their unconditional resignation.

Our rulers have not announced nor openly admitted the moral code under which they find themselves feeling good about what they are doing. Since it places them above us, and in America that is not functionally possible under the constitution, they may never admit it.

For to admit they have assumed superior status automatically delegitimizes them under the oath they took to the constitution, a constitution that begins with "We the people." Once any elected official believes himself above it all and unaccountable, he is no longer honoring his oath.

Compile the evidence. See if it is or is not mostly true that our leaders have assumed a superior status. Show that their acts are applied not equally under law, but arbitrarily to favor those who help them gain power. Show by a predominance of evidence which of the following is an accurate conclusion.
  • They see themselves as having been elected to a position above equals in sovereignty to be the servants of the sovereigns, and not to rule,
  • Or they have assumed for themselves the power of a sovereign over the many, seeking to control every facet needed for the individual to be secure in his life, his liberty and his seeking of happiness.

***Update***
In comments, Og demonstrates the quick way to review the circumstances, discards the ruler's claim that all his pee is only rain, and concludes:
Anti-constitutional? You betcha. An American Monarchy? Got-damned right. Evil, on it's surface and in substance? Probably. Curable?
Anyone??

Bueller?

And Joan of Argghh! is passing out banners.

So You Think This is Over

You’ve GOT To Be Kidding Me (Birth Certificate)

Anyone who thinks this is over is nuts. This is the red herring that just keeps on working. Even the debunker asks the question: Why is this forgery so amateurish?
The despot reserves the privilege to pee in your ear and then demand you accept his claim it’s only rain. #
As the burgeoning State gains more power, expect more of this.

There are already many people who will continue to make an issue of Obama's eligibility. The man is a fraud on so many levels, yet there are so many politicians on both sides of the aisle who look the other way. At this point, him being born on Mars would be besides the point. The CIC has been allowed so much dictatorial power that goes unanswered (e.g.: SCOTUS refused fast-track review of ObamaCare, giving time to the poisoners to overload our finances and culture), how can any rational person doubt that there is no real political opposition to what he is doing?

This is how Statism works my friends. It creates its own opposition like a debater creates a straw-man argument. Put away your political science books and look to the World Wrestling Federation to understand what is transpiring.

Those who work for the powers that be, willingly or unwillingly, you will continue to go along providing distractions as one neighbor after another disappears — if you know what is good for you.

But as for the rest, the poorly connected but well-meaning fools who continue to make an issue of the birth certificate: I agree with you that in principle it is an important issue. But in the meantime, as you defend that island, the tsunami is washing away all your other more substantive principles.  Wake up.

Life's Frustrations

Og cried out "idiots everywhere I look."

He's hardly alone. Worse, there are days I figure I'm the idiot for being quiet about it.

So in an effort to reduce the idiocy I attempt to drop a helpful hint in hopes that the man so encumbered will catch on and fix the cause of his troubles himself.

But there's a hitch. Most idiots can't endure even a vague inference they aren't smart enough to solve the problem themselves. So even solicited advice that goes against their druthers may abrade them. They would rather go on beating their heads against the wall. They not only ignore your hint, they go on imagining that it wouldn't help or do them worse. No good deed goes unpunished sort of retribution is apt to follow. I know of more than a few who -- never making news -- will count his blessings and continue to help his fellow man despite bearing the insults he receives in place of the gratitude he deserves.

I think I may have written about the "the idiot plot" before*, but I will again in brief just in case some do not know what  is. [*Update: A reader had to remind me I did write about it. It's a blessing to have friends as one gets older!]

The idiot plot was prevalent in lower than grade B movies and TV shows of the 50s. It's a plot that relies on a device wherein all characters do not ask the simplest of questions that would end all the confusion. The long running sitcom I Love Lucy frequently used a funny version of this plot device, mocking in its way the plots used in many film dramas.

I've walked out on more than one movie in my days because the only plot was an idiot one.

But how do you walk out on life itself? When the Dems lie and the GOP refuses to call them on it because it's not a good thing for staid Republicans to "descend to that level." WTF? And so the idiots continue to enslave our posterity with the programs that will feed the operators of the system far more handsomely than any "needy" group they claim their programs target all at the expense of the middle class and real human progress.  And the idiot plot continues on all because the party that is supposed to stand for the principles of the middle class are outright sellouts and will never tell their adversaries what needs to be said. (Gee Pascal, how can you believe that partisan bickering is all a charade so that the parties can share power between them?)

And then the really rotten part of what is happening to American life ought to occur to you! It's something that those who are supposed to be our religious leaders (but claim they can't lest they lose their tax exemptions) seem never to point out.
When this real world idiot plot never ends you gain an inkling as to what Hell has in store for you. And you whom help keep tyranny growing deserve it too.

Postmodern Times Reveals a Place of Marvels

First Jerry Brown gets reelected in California, while neither his exceedingly wealthy RINO opponent nor the GOP ever challenged the legitimacy of his candidacy in court for being in violation of state constitutional limits.

Yesterday Obama's oligarchical puppeteers remake Clinton president for a few moments.

Regarding that, have you yet seen the phrase

D R Y    R U N

come out of the mouths of the apparatchiks at the Ministry of Truth Agency of Lies? [In later years Pascal began using Agency of Lies because he saw that we were not an Orwellian world quite yet, and felt it best that he speak the truth while he still could. -- ed.]

Trust in your old uncle Pascal; it's in the works. AKA trial balloon.

Postmodern times really is a place where you will not believe your eyes. (Nor want to.)

Left Hands Washing Each Other

Where are the right hands guarantying balance?
Where are the voices suggesting that our financial enslavement to public employee "entitlements" is a major motivation for public employee willing involvement in voter fraud?

The GOP and talkradio's near silence on voter fraud -- still ongoing (in Bridgeport Connecticut for example) -- is outrageous. (Talkradio is filled with honorable men. They are all, all honorable men.)

The book Shakedown: The Continuing Conspiracy Against the American Taxpayer, by Steven Malanga of City Journal, reveals the power bestowed upon public employee unions. The following video exposes some of the threats directed against public elected officials. Pascal's Fervor sees the more disenfranchising aspects of such unscrupulous threats in light of whom is in charge of those paid to support elections.
"It's not who votes that count, but who counts the votes."

I expect you will find it chilling. I found it compelling for another, perhaps more emotional reason.

My affection for the continuing efforts of the man depicted below left pretty much assured my paying closer attention to author of the above video, depicted below right.
