Vengeance of the Power Elites Pleases Satan

My attention was drawn to the following video "Jordan Peterson - Political Correctness and Postmodernism" by a fan of Professor Jordan Peterson. He's the prof who's been castigated by Leftist Sinister critics for being politically incorrect in his warnings of threats to free speech and thought by proposed Canadian legislation before it was passed.

What Professor Peterson concludes may better provide my readers with a way to covey the premise of which I have long warned: that the haters of humanity ally themselves with casuists (true believers) because the latter provide both cover for haters' misanthropy and free labor in carrying it out.

Beginning at about 16 minutes in, he extracts some quotes from Nietzsche's Will to Power.
The following paragraph is a summary of Prof. Peterson's quotes of Nietzsche leading up to a series of exacting money quotes out of a chapter in Zarathustra.

The nihilistic doctrines that would emerge in the aftermath associated with the collapse of the moral underpinnings of the West would produce a form of political catastrophe (associated with communism) that would kill 10s to 100s of millions of people in the 20th Century. (Peterson, noting that Nietzsche was right, then quotes Nietzsche informing us that the elite would ignite the flames deliberately, out of spite).
"'What justice means to us [the power elite, anticipating the popular rejection of them] is precisely that the world will be filled with the storms of our revenge.' Thus they speak to each other, 'We shall wreak vengeance and abuse on all whose equals we are not.'...  You preachers of equality ... your most secret ambition is to be tyrants [who] shroud yourselves in words of virtue."-- The Tarantulas

Peterson asks "why this emphasis on [seeking] power above all else?" He answers "It's resentment [of being less revered for their intentions (all which failed) than those out in the real world who've succeeded] disguising itself most reprehensibly as compassion."

I compressed the above paragraph because it helps the reader understand quickly what he was trying to say. I recommend listening to that segment in full so you have more of the evidence he presented to sustain his conclusions.

Peterson ends with "It's time for the mask of that to be removed and set straight before we walk further down the path that leads to no good [worse than we've already been misled]."

He appears to have arrived at that point of realization for which, in my opinion, the 10th Commandment was written. Every day it ought to become ever more clear to the wavering faithful what a too often underappreciated gift that commandment was to us from our Loving Maker.
"Thou shalt not covet [for it may lead to the ultimate unhappiness for both he who covets and for those he resents and provoke casual violations of all Commandments.]"

The supplanting of the Judeo-Christian moral code with a Satanic one appears to be complete in those whom Professor Peterson asks us to unmask for the sake of us and our posterity.

Between the Lines #3 [Flawless Women]

What do we read between the lines when Glamour Magazine pronounced Bruce Caitlyn (whatever) Jenner Woman of the Year?

  • Well, he "she" doesn't have to menstruate once a month.
  • S/he doesn't have to endure the often terrible cramps associated with that biological function.
  • S/he will never experience the hormonal swings, some debilitating,  that many women have to endure.
  • S/he will never complain about or be condescended to due his her suffering from PMS.
  • S/he will not have to endure all the complications associated with menopause.
  • And finally, s/he will never have to worry about a potentially cancerous fibroid turning up in her uterus such as the one that killed my wife 12 months after it turned up in stage 4 bleeding.

In fact, I'd say it was a safe bet that the most glamorous women you've ever met would never call any of these specifically womanly traits glamorous.

So clearly what we read between the lines at Glamour Magazine is that its judges have had an epiphany. Because GM is certain Jenner cannot be troubled by a single one of these unglamorous womanly issues, s/he must be a superior woman, and thus worthy to be called Glamorous Woman of the Year.

Corollary to Godwin's Curse

The Corollary to Godwin's Curse posted yesterday:
When one is living the consequences of Godwin's Curse1, adherents to Godwin's Law2 will then know what desperation really means.
1Godwin's Curse
There will be a point in time where events have so deteriorated that the value of any comparative arguments, such as how similar behavior led to the same repercussions, will be moot.

2Godwin's Law in short asserts
Mentioning Hitler or Nazi for any reason in support of an argument implicitly categorizes the speaker as desperate.

Fatally Naive Americans

The Nov 3 WSJ has an op ed

You Also Can't Keep Your Doctor

I had great cancer doctors and health insurance. My plan was cancelled. Now I worry how long I'll live.

(h/t JWF)

It has as its closing lines
For a cancer patient, medical coverage is a matter of life and death. Take away people's ability to control their medical-coverage choices and they may die. I guess that's a highly effective way to control medical costs. Perhaps that's the point. --emphasis added
Perhaps?  This bespeaks the fatal naivety of all Americans constrained by PC from stating obvious truths.

What could pass as the Obamacare theme song is now 4 decades old. It has in its frankest of renditions the closing lines:
"Won't you give it a try?
 [Boom]
Live and let die!"
For several decades I have witnessed and reported upon the fear in so many to speak of the dark side of the Sustainability movement. It is doubly upsetting to see it in those who claim to be God fearing. God fearing implies you accept the premise that all human life is sacred. Turning a blind eye to reports of a mounting threat to that premise (most unsettling to me when I've witnessed it in clergy) is more understandable when the threat seems hypothetical, but not from someone like Ms. Sundby while suffering the repercussions.

Ms Sundby still wants to believe that the machinations to which she is victim are only her imagination. So she writes "perhaps." I guess it makes her feel better. [Or perhaps the addition of perhaps it was required by the WSJ editor. In a world where damned consensus rules are expected to be understood, I doubt the editor needed to make a direct request.]

In a way, this makes Ms Sundby a martyr to Political Correctness. That she in her present circumstances is found still kowtowing to the consensus (to not speak of the Susnuts) ought to be eye opening for the rest of us.  The souls of people who martyred themselves in defense of innocent human life would not be amused.

Please enlighten me how to open the eyes of more while there is still time.

Fatherly Advice #1

"If you go around wearing a chip on your shoulder, sooner or later someone is going to knock it off. Is that what you really want or is it something else?"
Children, particularly boys, who grow up fatherless, or with fathers who don't give a damn, are often not getting good advice. And I think this may be the single most important bit of advice that can be given to young men who believe walking around looking intense or mean, menacing or macho,  is a worthwhile means for getting ahead in this world. Maybe in an uncivilized world. Maybe were an uncivil world actually what society wants.

If society is content in raising a generation of thugs, it will not encourage older men to advise young men that carrying around a chip for imagined or even real slights has a very poor return on investment.

Particularly to the ladies: Fight against the PC silencing squads. End this effeminate fear of upsetting some poor snowflake's feelings. Unleash the old goats with their stern verbal warnings. While a word from the wise may go unheeded, as sure as death it can’t be heard when society’s ninnies censure those who warn.

**UPDATE, Saturday April 21, 2011**
It may seem dumb to admit this, but it wasn't until the next day that I realized that this post was inspired by the quote of the day that I had posted a few hours earlier. (In fact, as a further consequence, "Connections" may be the title of my next post.)

The silencing of the male perspective was also an aim of the Frankfurt School. Critical Theory that exploited the tension between the sexes -- what they cynically labeled as "Feminism" -- has been used effectively to neuter far too many males, criminalize many of those who were not neutered, while the threat of being made out to be a misogynist intimidated most of the rest into silence.

If I missed any other tactical ploy against men, tell me in the comments.

Lincompoops

Apparently the AP has endorsed the recommendations of the newest victimogues who go by the not atypically type of name for left-wing racialists: the Asian American Journalists Association.

Asian American Journalists Association releases guidelines on Jeremy Lin media coverage

Who exactly elected these linatics the official spokesmen for Asians? Only the latest group to whose pronouncements members of said group better adhere or be declared the equivalent of Oreos. Asians or those of Asian ancestry better adhere to the diktats of the AAJA or be declared Uncle Lins.

The Agency of Lies will not rest until it can find victims in every group on earth so another bunch of Left-wing scum (as in the Jacksons and Sharptons) can garner some power and money for themselves while enslaving the rest of us with speech codes and thought control and double-think.

I surely hope the dextrosphere does not give a moments rest to the AP and the rest of the crowd who tries to foist every form of Political Cowering on the rest of us individuals. Fight back people.

For a start: instead of calling them ninnies, just call them linnies. Dripping with scorn of course.

**Update**:
About 16 hours later, Wretchard at The Party Line has gathered evidence that strongly suggests all that we are witnessing is part of a single piece that actively aims to disturb our peace. The members of the Belmont Club are sure to add their witty insights too, so it may prove entertaining to read their comments after about 24 hours.
Victimoguery or not, when Lincompoops such as the AAJA may arise out of nowhere to be instantly recognized as policy czars, what sort of ninnies are the rest of us?

A Tragic Loss for Two Generations

More on this in coming days. Expect a new and controversial series.

These are posted under fair-use for purposes of commentary. They are part of the movie "Song of the South" that Disney Corporation refuses to put out in DVD. That refusal has been because the PC crowd has labeled it raciss.

These cartoon vignettes were based on the most famous work of anthropologist Joel Chandler Harris, Uncle Remus: His Songs and His Sayings. The stories are thousands of years old and were intended to teach children to be wary of the behavior of scheming adults.

Today the kids instead are taught -- and adults were taught -- Occam's Razor and Hanlon's Razor. These full scale denials eradicate a good portion of how we once taught vital lessons to the young. Instead, they are taught
  • to throw out the thought that people would ever scheme.
  • That people never weave a tangled web to cover their deceits.
  • And they only make innocent mistakes.

But these stories may well be the source of Heinlein's Razor. "Don't rule out malice," because the malevolent, they lay low.

Many thanks to Og for his aid in finding these.

Being a Complete Dick, Part II: The AOL's Inconsistencies

In part I, a request was made for readers to send links demonstrating how the Agency of Lies views disparagement of Democratic and Republican Presidents unequally.

Here is the first from the Media Research Center:
Flashback: MSNBC Hosts Called Bush a Murderous Fascist, Never Faced Suspensions

They provided several examples of consistent anti-republican treatment. Calling a disingenuous politician a dick pales to nothingness after what those videos just recalled for you. I'm sure there will be much more evidence to come.

In the meantime, here is a good example of what I previously recommended the dextrophere do from now on.

NAILed

NAILED would be News Arranged to Inculcate Lies Every Day. At least that was when daily newspapers ruled the news.

The more concise acronym for today's media would be NAIL since they do it relentlessly now 24/7.

Now I never liked the acronyms for our lying media (Ministry of Lies, Administry of Lies, or Agency of Lies) that I've stabbed at in the past. But I do like the acronym of

News Aimed at Inculcating Lies.
It is so damn descriptive is it not? (You could also use Arranged to Indoctrinate if that floats your boat.)
Have you been NAILed lately? How did you like it?
And last night, the NAILer in chief arranged to commandeer the air waves at 10:30 PM EDT -- and then was over an hour late. There is no sound reason to delay a 15 minute speech that could have been delivered without fanfare in 2 minutes at a quickly called press conference the next morning given that the news event was already days old.

No, the purpose in arranging the hour and then delaying the big news would be clear to the target of the arranged hit. In any movie about the mob, most of the audience would catch on immediately. And just in case the few dullards in the audience (and Kevin Costner) didn't get the message, Sean Connery would explain "it was the Chicago Way."

But in this day and age of Political Cowering, "not so fast there Guido." So Let me put it to you nicely.

Dammitall folks. Bummer's purpose was to deliver the message in no uncertain terms to Donald Trump, whose hit TV show was known to be in progress at 10:30, "That is what you get for messing with the big dog." You've been NAILed Mr. Trump.

Subtle, like a hammer, for The Donald

And a special thank you to Joan of Arrggh! for reminding me of this photo yesterday evening.

Making His Bones

To add to your distrust of Glenn Beck folder.

Did you hear Mr. Beck this morning? I swear, all the media is set up to confuse the masses, and Mr. Beck appears to be doing his bit to aid that confusion.

Of all the things he could have said about Pastor Terry Jones, his shtick was simply to mock Mr. Jones’ few words as given in an interview. He did this over and over again for the whole hour and on into the next like a running joke. The running joke should have been a series of riffs exposing the outlandish posture “oh you can’t offend Islam” playing in the halls of power and on the Agency of Lies (including FNC).

In the 2nd hour he was back to disclosing some news not playing elsewhere worth hearing, but by then he got a good portion of his audience tuning him out.

Worse, of course, is his attitude, like the one he displayed against Donald Trump last week. It serves only to discredit him, and that detracts to his message. Understand?

See, in his own way, Mr. Beck undermines our message exposing Statists exactly like Terry Jones undermines our outrage at Islamists who used Mr. Jones as the next excuse for their current week-long instigated mayhem akin to Orwell’s two-minutes hate.

With an alarming unattractive and poor spoken pastor like Mr. Jones, WHO doesn’t know they’ll be compared to him for getting angry at the dozens of people murdered? With Mr. Beck acting like an ass, who wants to be seen repeating the important news that he reports?

It is my conjecture from observation that Mr. Beck’s behavior could be no worse were he paying his “dues” for membership in the club of broadcasters (it fits this former rodeo clown who is used to taking his hits), or were he making his bones* for gangsters who have been cultivating dhimmitude worldwide. You know -- like DAMNED SKUNC Lindsay Graham did today.

Mr. Beck made Mr. Jones the object and not the overreacting imams and THEIR excesses, nor did he make a joke of the sniveling dhimmis that pass for leaders in the West. Did Mr. Beck play his part today? Did he do his bit to keep his bona fides with the powers that be? Was his stupid, repetitive, unfunny mockery of Mr. Jones his bit at running himself down? Is he the paid clown to discredit all the good info about many stinking stories simply to discredit that news when you wish to pass it on to friends and relatives? Remember -- Statism is defined as the complete control of all aspects of living. It organizes its own opposition and works to discredit any who have good cause to oppose the overreaching state.

Well, Mr. Beck is not the first on the Right we have learned to distrust like David Brooks or Peggy Noonan. His numbers are down — so maybe he’s desperate like those other two.

My personal opinion is that bloggers are far and away more trustworthy. Until they get paid or we find out they have been on some deep-pocket payroll — then watch out.

*If you think this metaphor is too extreme or too subtle, please click clarify below. If you don't know what "making his bones" implies in this context, try this.

Do Not Be Too Hard On Yourself

Do not be too hard on yourself or on the rest of us. God knows there's some really rotten scoundrels who are willing to do that for you and us, and have arranged our education so that we have been inculcated — conditioned — to be accepting of their injustices to us.

This eerie warning came to my mind when gallant KG introduced Queensland floods…the OTHER story
one man's recounting of flood ravaged Queensland, Australia. In it, Gary Briggs of Dalby writes of the numerous [malicious?] institutional hardships piled onto the natural hardships visited upon both those needing help and all good Samaritans seeking to help them. KG, having read of the inanities suffered rather than revolting or even just risking a fine by telling the officious retards to stuff it, arrived at a sad conclusion that I could agree with in part. If I am a bit more optimistic, I pray you'll allow me that failing.

KG: “Below the fold is an email I was given. Read it and weep for what was once a tough, resilient people. Until we got off our apathetic, cowardly, lazy arses and begin confronting these bastards the madness will continue. And get steadily worse. Egyptians can brave bullets, water cannon and torture, and we can’t even risk a day in court and a fine? In that case, we deserve all we get.”
Well, here's where Pascal reveals weaknesses and regrets that, I pray, might help readers find solutions he failed to achieve.

Hold on KG. I understand your frustration KG, believe me. I bet you and I could match stories.
The lowlifes are given PULL by those who are gaming the system at the top. We have been left PUSHING. Guess what works best?

The 60s radicals used to speak about “getting it over the Man.” Who of our teachers ever explained that Marxism/Leninism was always targeting “the bourgeoisie,” and that means “the middle class?” We’ve been conditioned to not know we were targets, and at the same time “to suck it up like a man.”

If you have ever read the accounts by former Left brigader, David Horowitz, you know that in the 50s the Left had summer camps where they trained their “red diaper babies” how to assault Western institutions. Who on the Right offered classes in countermeasures? Nobody. We were subjected to the Left indoctrination centers even if a few of us resisted it. So now we are woefully two or three generations behind and far removed from generations that were NOT so indoctrinated! I sometimes feel like an undereducated, definitely unprepared remnant.

Individuals do not stand a chance without building their own blocs. The Left is filled with cowards who hide behind laws the Right is inclined to respect from the start — except for the unequal treatment that the gamers have CONDITIONED us to accept.

Nemesis may have trained his own kids to think clearly, as I have my grown brood, but it is not enough. I learned the hard way what it means to have failed to build blocs and train them to withstand — for the sake of our posterity and not just for ourselves — the forces who hate liberty. Maybe it is because I did not want to believe that such forces still existed — I don’t remember now. I do remember that I simply thought that right thinking people would rally behind me. I failed to foresee that there were schemers in the neighborhoods and city, and that they had loads of ways to undermine weak blocs.

I know what you might be thinking, because I think it myself all the time. I vacillate between “It’s too late” and “is it really too late?” I will simply relate to you something a wise man once said “Where there’s life, there’s hope.”

I wasn’t kidding when I suggested that men like Nemesis should be sought out to train the local kids how to put down the con-men. If they fail to seek out such teachers — and protect those teachers — THEN we will all deserve what we get.

Managers HATE Leaders, Pétains HATE Pattons

I don't even know many of the names involved in the story: Navy fires Capt. Owen Honors over raunchy videos Yeah, Obama is the Prez, but this could have happened under Bush too.

I only know that the safety of the sailors on the USS Enterprise are the last thing the navy brass and the Joint Chiefs care about. The removal of Captain Honors, on the eve of ship deployment, for a morale boosting video "described as lewd and disturbing" -- disclosure of which had been public for months while the ship was being prepared -- smells like orders originating from SKUNCs. Undermining the morale of our country and our fighting men seems to be all that Washington DC is capable of in this generation of brass. They even had to have a spokesmouth deliver the bad news in the press.

"He who is without sin" -- was it he who cast the first stone?  Not likely from what I've heard; but I did not check it out because it is believable as it matches the over-the-top holier-than-thou type.  The organization that allegedly was most "alarmed" by the video was an interest group that was in the forefront in having DADT ended.

So, fresh from that victory, and full of themselves, they went after a bawdy video? What do you wanna bet that the leadership of that organization has appeared in the most in-your-face parades in public in NYC or San Franfreako? And even if he didn't, it is virtually unprecedented that he ever uttered a harsh word about his side's deliberately and fully public bawdy displays.

But then, I'd expect such hypocrisy from a Leftist organ like that. But not from the brass of our armed forces. From them I expect leadership that isn't cavalier about its enlisted men. America does not deserve rank managers seeking their next star. Whatever good they may have done in service for this county is now dead and of no consequence to,  lessen the evil of  the damage they're doing today. For these former heroes I am saddened; for the current wankers I have this wish:
Your hypocrisy should turn rancid, turn inward, and choke you into a drool. Then you can drop dead in front of the whole world as a lesson, Those who follow, at least for a generation, would then know to avoid your slimy path.

Absent such divine intervention, should anything bad happen to the crew of the Enterprise in its new deployment, you and the Commander in Chief deserve a firing squad.

How Statists Advance

Political Cowing and Cowering 101, On-going classes.

Obamabots Bushbots
An effort to preempt all discussion and criticism as "racist." An effort to preempt all discussion and criticism as "Bush-Bashing."
Anyone reading this blog knows of people who fit these descriptions?
I thought so.

Do you know of any who finally recognize what useful idiots they are?
I thought not. Lots of excuses though.

Politically Cowered Consequences

The following billboard (h/t JammieWearingFool) was removed today after a firestorm erupted over it.

Why was it removed?

Because I told you it is not that we are Politically Correct, but that we are

and the opinion expressed in the Billboard poster is way too close to the truth.

A Consequence of Being Politically Cowered

Wretchard posted a observation/commentary yesterday that he summed rather cleverly in his title and opening words:
"Tomorrow Belongs To Me." So argues Kevin Drum. Writing in Mother Jones he argues that despite the electoral apocalypse facing the liberals in November, minorities and the Millenial Vote are going to give the Democrats — in the long run — the permanent majority.

For those who don't know that Tomorrow Belongs To Me is the title of a song from the musical Cabaret, there is a YouTube after the break, following my comment:
I find it reassuring that our host is not fearful of being charged with having violated Godwin’s Law.
“Once that observation was made, it became a tradition that whoever brings Nazis into the argument automatically loses.”
Many years ago, I heard Hugh Hewitt use Godwin as an excuse to cut off more than one caller. On one occasion, I thought he said “you lose” as he cut the call. I got the impression he rather enjoyed invoking it. And it didn’t seem to matter how substantial was the caller’s argument, it was simply a matter that Hewitt, maybe fearfully, did not wish to see his show accused of a Godwin violation.

Or maybe, on that day he gleefully said “you lose,” he simply did not want to entertain that direction of thought, and he used Godwin as the excuse.

Whatever.

And now, after all those little Left-wing and Statist encroachments on our liberties have built up so heartily while our guardians of access to Right-talk radio prevented the sane and rational comparative argument while we still had time, we must face the consequences of our side having allowed itself to be silenced by means of Political Cowering. So, for now, we must bear the crowing from the Left and Statists: ♫And Tomorrow Belongs to Me♪♫.
Well stated Wretchard!

Reflex

Pasc, you really believe there's a group, aka progressives, that aim to enslave us all or ??? And Obama is one of them? -- Representative of millions

Rep, you're already under their influence.

Your unwillingness to assess the evidence of your own experiences demonstrates this. You've been trained to scoff at any notion of the sort, as displayed by your question. I'd say it is as reflexive in you as Pavlov's dogs slavered to the ringing of a bell.

Politically Cowered

That's been me. That's been many of you.

This is America. Freedom of speech was the first right institutionalized by our Constitution's First Amendment.

But starting in our school systems, the majority of us have been cowered into meek little serfs; into allowing incremental inroads that have stolen away one right after another.

They who'll no longer be cowed are coming. To be most effective, they will do what they must selectively and with no fanfare. God bless them.

Recovering from the Political Correctness Disease [Updated]

I was in the midst of writing what I consider an important essay titled "Reassessing Fundamentals" when news of the Fort Hood murders came to my attention.

Not only did I not finish it on 5 Nov, but I also had two other efforts I had started on 3 Nov and 1 Nov respectively with the revealing working titles "I'm sorry that I'm not completing my screeds," and "A Sign of Frustration."

I wasn't in a funk due to what was about to happen. No, I don't believe I was so clairvoyant this time. I was having difficulty because I feel that Orwell's warning, "the purpose of Newspeak is to destroy man's reasoning ability," required a more active counter-offensive. Before I could move on I wanted to reassess fundamentals of our language so that I could help lift the clouds on our minds.

Funny thing now that I consider it. Political Correctness is a form of Newspeak, with its inherent double-think of "better not say that." PC has long been in our schools and in our media (even much of "conservative" talk radio) and in most of all in our politicians. And now it is clearly at the very top of our military. It is what made the massacres at Fort Hood all that more inevitable -- and thus even more outrageous.

So I stopped writing what I was working on and moved around the web to add to the comments at various sites. I think I helped form thoughts at those places, and that's really what a writer hopes to achieve, gaining scarce credit or even no credit.

From the first my comments attacked the reports that had one voice after another calling the event a tragedy. I called it an outrage for a number of reasons, especially the gall of an army officer and presumed gentleman to act as if he were a cloaked spy; worse: an infiltrator bent on murdering enlisted men who were trained to respect and trust his rank. His act was so rank.

But in retrospect, as the role of the PC climate came to light, along with its diversity and multicultural aims, Political Correctness has finally begun to appear to be the worst element present. PC was the murdering Hasan's silent partner. Political Correctness was the institutional disease that was Hasan's great enabler.

That is the conclusion I hope all in America, the very many who still love her, will arrive at on their own. I give up trying to convince anyone who is viscerally unable to arrive at this same conclusion by using their own God-gifted commonsense . If commonsense and a core personal survival instinct cannot convince my fellow Americans, what chance do I have?

Here's how you will know when America is on the road to recovery from this disease. It could be very soon if Americans simply demand this first thing.

Even before Hasan is found guilty and executed, Political Correctness in our armed forces -- and all its concomitant poison -- must be executed long before he is.

Bill’s Bing L Ling E Lee

Given this story, and Neanderpundit's brilliant common man's view of things, I thought my readers would appreciate what I felt was the best headline that our Ministry of Truth would never print.

The Ministry of Truth: Almost There

In the dystopic world of George Orwell's 1984, all news and historical records were governed by the Ministry of Truth.*

I have played with this cognomen over the years by identifying the mainstream media (MSM) with various appellations such as the Ministry of (mis)Information, and MinInfo whenever MSM's manner of coverage of a story revealed its bias favoring most any form of statism.

Over the last two years, unlike any time in my long life, the MSM has warranted the name Ministry of MisInformation more than ever. It got to be an open joke among my acquaintences of how open the bias could get.
"Have they gotten around to framing every picture of Bush wearing a dunce cap?"

"It can't be long before every frame of Obama has him walking on water."
As the bailouts came into play last year, I observed that once news sources like the AP and newspapers like the NY Times were bailed out, they would be well along to becoming official state organs along the lines of the USSR's Izvestia and Pravda, reporting and printing only what those holding their purse-strings wished to see made known.

Now, as if the MSM hasn't done enough to show they can be trusted to be good Ministry of Truth employees, I have to hand it to my old buddy Fran Porretto for succinctly showing how much more they are worthy:

America got to its current state because of permanent government deficit finance, government debasement of the dollar, government redistribution, and government meddling in the economy, most particularly the credit market. Not one of these things was contemplated by the Founders or authorized by the Constitution of the United States. Washington proceeded with them anyway. Not one economist of any standing would disagree that our troubles are rooted in the very policy arrogances I just enumerated. But politicians, to whom government is the one and only "solution" to any and every "problem," have proposed that we address our difficulties by intensifying the very practices that produced them.
It is a sad fact that such a concise review of the why, and excuses for, the Obama stimulus and the TARP before it, can only be found on a relatively obscure website. Nowhere in the MSM are they discussed as a consistent group of related issues where logic would bring the listener or reader to Fran's conclusion. The fact these facts are never allowed to be built into an argument filled with legitimate observations and concerns anywhere in MSMdom tells us how in love with total state control visible MSM employees either are (true-believers) or think they must demonstrate they are (cynical self-servers).

With such able employees already well stationed in various MSM outlets, how soon before the Ministry of Truth emerges, fully grown and indomitable?

[*Editor's note: In later years Pascal Fervor began referring to American media as the Agency of Lies because he saw that we were not an Orwellian world quite yet, and felt it best that he speak the truth while he still could. He also used the acronym SKUNCs instead of RINOs for much the same reason.]
