Strong?

When I said that the Incrementalist "Progressives" had stopped moving incrementally, I really wasn't prepared that they'd pull out all the stops.

Obama, the "constitutional scholar," issued his most ominous statement yet.
US President Barack Obama on Monday challenged the "unelected" Supreme Court not to take the "extraordinary" and "unprecedented" step of overturning his landmark health reform law. --from yahoo news Combative Obama warns Supreme Court on health law.

Oh, but he was a bit less strident when he said the following, which contained the highlighted lie.
"Ultimately, I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress," Obama said.
Had Mr. Obama said "...that was passed by a strong-armed majority..." it would have been the truth.

  1. I am wanting to say "words fail me", but that would be a lie. The words do not, rather the expressing in words, what I am really thinking right now, would land me in a gulag for quite a long number of years.

I was disheartened by the actions and the presidency of one James Earl Carter, his actions, or lack thereof, especially with him being a formar officer in the United States Navy (and thus expecting much better of and from him), were at the very least sickening.... and at worst down right close to treason. But the current President is no Jimmy Carter.....

He is, almost by the very action of his taking in MY oxygen, with each breath he takes, an affront to American, her people, and everything for which this nation stands (or at least used to stand for). For every word out of his mouth, written by his hand, and carrying his signature, is nothing more than contemptible lies, subterfusion, misdirection, and of a singular purpose.

To destroy this country. If there is such a thing, an evil greater than being a traitor, this male creature (he is not a man, in any way, shape, or form) would qualify.

I would say more, but am dangerously close to saying too much already.

And I think you get my drift.

  2. I know how you feel Guy. You're doing fine in the drift department. It's even possible that the moron has crossed a line even with the Lefty justices. Threatening members of the court on which they sit? "Gee, maybe I'll be next unless I show by my vote that he can't intimidate this court."

I think of him as nothing but sinister. But there are going to be millions of independents who were convinced by the media that this man was SMART. Yet here is a "constitutional scholar" whose words convey that he doesn't even know that the Supreme Courts power IS IN deciding the constitutionality of the law. His "the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law." Our job, should you decide to accept it, is to repeat that line and ask everyone you know "exactly what planet did this guy arrive from that he can say that the Court has NEVER done that before?

  3. I will have to do just that. In other news I may have found a workable idea to develop into a novel. Floated it by Deb, and she seems to think it might have legs. We shall see. Will have to order a handful of books from amazon, and clean this ol laptop up....and we shall see what happens.

  6. I thought I'd commented here but I must have accidentally dumped it.
    Sorry if I appear late.
    "Strong-armed"!
I wonder if, when we take the country back, we can erase all references to him the way his ideological counterparts used to.
