Despite the alleged separation of church and state, BELIEF in Sustainability is widely held in American secular government. Judeo-Christian moral guidelines have been incrementally supplanted by what can best be described as neo-pagan ones. Consequently, notice where rulers never utter a harsh word against Malthusian, Utilitarian, Green and Islamistophilic nutcases. There the ruled are at grave risk.
I am fond of both car and lawn. That the Good Lord had a hand in both, one via direct means the other via "talent on loan from God", was not lost on me. If both showed up in my yard, I would not complain *grin*.

Another long time reader complained of my recent penchant for concise thoughts. He prefers my longer, more thoughtful commentaries.
Well, so do I when I can complete them to my satisfaction. But I'm very reluctant to force it. I personally am finding that there is already too much hot air buffeting my ears and eyes. I think too many on the Right are falling for he publish or perish mentality. Gotta publish to get and keep readers. But look where that sort of posture has led: it has built up an effete load of tenured university residents self-perpetuating each others' not merely worthless, but dangerous drivel. Empty barrels make the most noise.
