The Earlier Government's Cronies

The earlier government's cronies will always complain that their ox is being gored. Government unions in particular come to mind this year given the actions seen earlier this year, for example, in Wisconsin. Not that there are not corporations who are also major players, but they don't have thugs which the Federal labor relations board will provide more latitude to engage in thuggery.

Never let anyone forget that this is what we are up against nation-wide -- especially given the (green light) flasher residing in the White House.

In California the earlier government's cronies are also the current government's cronies. So they continue on course depleting the "gold" through robbing those who once "mined" the state's immense resources and unmatched favorable climate. And by over-regulating those who would like to "mine" the (formerly) Golden State they have put immense restrictions on further production.

IOW, these clueless cronies keep piling more stress upon the goose that lays the golden egg. They have not a gander of a notion that they are killing the very hosts they need to survive. As a result, as the goose has reduced her output, the cronies are looking to pass the blame on to every other cause they can imagine, never placing the blame on their piggish demands. Long gone is their old rationalized notion of needing to behave like rational symbionts in order to survive instead of a plague of out-of-control parasites.

Update from comments that I think adds some home-spun poignancy:
BobG said...
The government puts me in mind of a story I heard years ago.
There was an old farmer who had a mule who he had hitched up to a mill. One day he had the idea that if he held back a bit of the mule's feed, he could save money. He tried it for a week, and the mule kept working, so he tried holding back a bit more. The mule kept working. He tried a bit more, but this time, after a couple of days, the mule fell over, dead.

"That SOB," said the farmer, "and just when he was getting used to it."
Sound familiar?

The Earlier Government's Cronies. There's a politically charged phrase worth repeating often.

Americans, wherever you are, try to remember that those rotten cronies are all part of the mechanism that will kill you if you let them overturn your revolt.

The Lowest Common Denominator Serves Nobody But the Divider

Divide and Conquer is as old as the hills. America with her melting pot, however imperfect, was a metaphor worthy of a republic conceived with liberty as its most pure goal for humanity.

In more recent times, the power-mad claim their seeking of power is to provide the rest of us with utopia. We, as we go about making a living, have permitted professionals (as in the oldest profession) to run our government. And we have allowed these charlatans to incrementally introduce one divisive program after another. Of all the programs, maybe the worst of these is muliticulturalism, because its deleterious effects appears to have been its goal: to Balkanize the West, and the West's most powerful beacon of liberty, America. Paraphrasing Michael Savage's oft repeated phrase, in but a few short years the "Progressives" have actively been turning America's Melting Pot into a chamber pot. Our rulers have been eradicating our e pluribus unum culture to all but a faint memory, and have been actively dividing us. Why?

Alexis DeTocqueville warned us in Democracy in America, book iii, chapter iv

a despot easily forgives his subjects for not loving him, provided they do not love each other.

Boy, have they been providing those divisions in spades and hearts and minds and souls.

It is clear to me -- and I wish someone with more skill than I with words would find a way to make it clear to everyone else -- that the secret of utopians is that the pursuit of utopia puts in power those who hate people. They make everyone but themselves equally miserable (and it is therefor a good thing in their self-centered moral universe!) by pursuing that fraudulent invention they named "social justice." By taking from the productive and giving to those who've been deliberately made dependent, they increase their power by enslaving everybody else.

Why is this not common knowledge? Place the blame with those who control our educational and informational institutions. And you conservatives who want to solely blame the democrats: you'd have to ignore the fact that the earliest "Progressives" were Republicans. When the GOP leadership compromises with the radicalized Dems, they are not behaving as the opposition to tyranny, but as its allies.

We. need. new. leaders.

New leadership has to start with YOU.

Statists Lacking Human Decency

Continues. Yet liberals still believe that government wears a smiley face.

How can bleeding-hearted liberals stand it? Yesterday it was the courts giving to criminals seasonal licenses to prey on innocent restaurant and hotel owners. Today it's ham-handed agents of the "liberal" government who break down doors and terrorize children over a student loan default as shown by this outrage picked up by JWF: Police State: Department of Education Calls in SWAT Team Over Defaulted Loans.

What's worse?
  1. That the agents broke down the wrong door?
  2. Or that they would use Gestapo tactics over a debt?

Let your  liberal friends know how their great idea -- the Department of Education -- appears to be run by agents with the sort of morality you would expect from your less patient loan sharks. The loan shark may break down your door to harass you over a debt, but he doesn't do it hiding behind a badge.

Social Contract? On Whom?

I read Saturday's offering by Townhall columnist Doug Giles, Urban Beach Week Destroys South Beach … Again, and let it pass. Yes, it is pretty bad that honest business owners can be compelled by legal rulings and government agents to endure the dangers and costs of societal breakdown or pay large fines and be subject to civil court shakedowns. How is this not a vise with criminals on one side and the law on the other?

I thought back then: "Surely, given a chance, our better angels will work this out, no?" In other words, the horror of the circumstances facing the business owners and residents of Miami's South Beach struck me, but not quite that hard yet.

That was before I read Summertime | By: Ol' Remus which contains a more extensive roundup of many, many, similar outrages. (H/T Wabbit)

That was when it all coalesced down to only a few questions each of you should ponder.
  • What would a criminal shake-down racket look like in which government players were an essential element?
  • The Social Contract? On whom?
  • When looking into this, what would be the average life expectancy for members of an indicting grand jury?

Summary:
A variety of allied forces claiming to be on the side of the angels, advocating and then administering under the auspices of adjudicated law, have provided a seasonal license for criminals to wreak havoc!

Justice or injustice?
If unjust, to whom do the preyed upon appeal for relief?

Now ask these questions of just a few friends and relatives.  Help them to understand. Then convince them to ask a few more friends and relatives.

Reform has to start with you down here at the heart-felt levels.

Culture Coup

Today was a good day for the aims of this blog. Nothing was written here directly here until now. What  drives your host, the interplay of good argument, unfolded on the stage set by Richard Fernandez when he wrote a short tribute to the late James Arness:  “Marshal Dillon! Marshal Dillon!”

I opened my numerous entries there (you may want to go there to see the rest) with this:
This thread is filled with nostalgia and sentimentality. Thanks to Buddy Larsen for bringing up the musical "My Fair Lady" and thereby helped me bridge the gap to make this point. Honest sentiment was something GB Shaw, who began his career as a critic, worked to eradicate even as the wildly popular musical based on his play "Pygmalion,” (the musical version of which he blocked while alive) is filled with moving, elegiac tunes. Shaw would never have approved the heart-rending music let alone the happy ending that did a 180 to the ending of his play. He would not have liked Gunsmoke either.

But Shaw's political influence won the day as the papers hired only critics — under whose cultural tyranny my Baby Boom generation grew up with — who panned works of art that were filled with beauty or any strong sense of heroics — hence the rise of the anti-hero. This cultural Marxism is the cultural coup we find ourselves burdened with.

A few of us resisted, and so many fine works endured past the critics’ poisoned pens. Works such as It’s a Wonderful Life and Gunsmoke.

The danger is real that the fond memory of such creations may die with my generation commenting here today.
I ended (well, at this point) my discussion there hoping that YBR now understands why I commented there as I did. I worked to make it clear how vicious the attack the "progressives" have successfully made upon the sentiments that founded this great culture, with this:
YBR/93 Emotion without restraint is surely no more radical a concept than worshiping pure reason.

This addresses my point, and was Lewis’ from the start! He analogized the head as the center of the cerebral, the gut the center of feeling. It takes the heart to balance them. The progressives wished to remove the heart so they could remold the world to their liking.

They’ve largely succeeded by inculcating the lying flattery in the youth that their untouched virginal innocence (naivety is so ripe for the power-hungerers!) made them more pure than their forebears. “Self-esteem” movement ring a bell?

Thus we witness what happens from removing the heart and leaving nothing but cold thought driven by primitive wants at the site of the source of our culture (in Greece) and moving to take over everywhere.

The Left’s monstrous destroyers thus conditioned are poised to unleash themselves. These are now found where nobler — not perfect — men would have previously been schooled before those scheming pseudo-intellectuals you’ve named took over the culture.
If this captures for my readers some of the thoughts that have been troubling them, I'd surely like to hear it, whether in comments here or at Belmont Club, or via email. The thoughts expressed today were long overdue.

Unequivocal

Og likes to play the Neanderthal. The key word there is play.

Last night our repartee caused me to observe the following.

Few people understand the word equivocal when they first hear it. In fact their first inclination is to think "that sounds like BS." So they really do know, don't they?

When he's not full of shit, he's unequivocal.

Agency of Lies (AoL)

Now that the former conservative owner of the Huffington Post also owns America Online, I no longer fear creating confusion using the acronym AoL for my rebranding of MSM as the Agency of Lies.

The Fourth Estate has been granted a privileged role in American governance. Press credentials are issued to members of the journalist class to provide the public a view of how well and/or honestly their public servants are performing their duties.

But the bulk of the journalism institution is now so corrupt, its apparatchiks think of themselves as part of the governing ruling class. They are known now to more and more Americans for supporting ideas they favor and ignoring, marginalizing or villainizing ideas and people they do not favor. But that's fine with them, because they feel that their audience is filled with ignorant yahoos -- mostly thanks to their malfeasance.  They are PROUD of their role in transforming many Americans into unknowing sheeple (or in Orwell's words, Proles). For me and my readers, their actions speak so loudly that we can hear it over their double-speak lies.

It really is up to us on the blogs and with the tweets to help get the truth out there. We should be the new Fourth Estate, each of us. But the press credentials are still reserved solely for recognized members of the AoL. Press credentials and the access to news makers they provide are currently given just to a closed club. This is NOT want the American Fourth Estate is supposed to be.

The only solution for us Americans is that we insist that trusted members of the blogosphere be granted press credentials.  It would seem that any block of say 25 or 50 readers (after all, this is a representative republic dammit) could insist that their favorite bloggers be granted this privilege, subject to open security reviews, at least to cover local events. And then build up credibility from there to move onto bigger and wider access.

And when such credentials are denied, then broadcast loudly to everyone you can reach how it PROVES that the entire MSM must be the AoL that I've been asserting they are. The hounding out of power of all these lying agents who effectively work for the government needs to have been done 20 years ago. Better late than never.

We need to clean out the journalism profession and start over with new members who gradually work to earn our trust.

Herman Cain's Fed Ties

"Herman Cain, former Chairman and CEO of Godfather's Pizza and radio talkshow host" is how Fox News Channel* host Brett Baer introduced him to America at the first candidates debate.

Given its perceived influence in the political world, why was Mr. Cain's more significant chairmanship -- of the Fed Reserve Bank of Kansas City -- not mentioned?

Did you know? Do your friends know? Of those who believe Cain looks good, do they know? Mr. Cain became a member of the board of directors of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank in 1992 and was its chairman for about 18 months beginning in 1995.

During the debate, no mention of the Fed and its involvement in our economic malaise and inflation was questioned. Did the audience polled by Frank Luntz on Fox News immediately following the debate know of Cain's ties to the Fed when they declared him the winner of the debate? I would bet that the answer is nearly 100% "No."

New Media members: this is a bit of information that needs airing and Herman Cain needs to be probed about before he advances further in his quest of the GOP presidential candidacy. Surely the media will pound him on it after he is nominated. We need to cynically question Mr. Cain's role in and support of the Fed before the Left gets to do it.

Wait too late to test Mr. Cain on this connection, and the anti-Obama, anti-Statist American voters will not have a candidate we are happy with.

*The entire MSM is untrustworthy and appears to be silent on this subject-- for now. Just because Fox News Channel is more balanced than other news outlets, that does not it put its motives beyond question. FNC is a subsidiary of Newscorp. Its Chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch is neither American nor in favor of enforcing our border with Mexico. FNC may appear to be less Leftist, but it still is operated with the approval of many of the same customers who sponsor the rest of the MSM Agency of Lies.

**Update**
LOL: Less than an hour after I posted this, at 8:10AM PDT Glenn Beck began interviewing Mr. Cain on his radio program.

He asked, “You were a member of The Fed?”[emphasis by Mr. Beck]
Mr. Cain answered it cagily, saying that was in the days when "Alan Greenspan would not permit politicization of the Fed." Mr. Beck did not press.

Questions will remain here. For instance, Mr Cain was strongly against auditing the Fed last year presumably after it had been “politicized.”

Simply Cuz The Agency of Lies Has Buried Bibi's Speech

Apparently the MSM Agency of Lies has buried most of Netanyahu's speech to AIPAC. I guess it would be harder to demonize him if people actually heard him. An elderly Jewish friend (he doesn't surf the Internet) called me and said that Fox mentioned it, then cut away. He asked me if I could find it for him and email the link. At least one of his kids is married into a family of raving morons and he's hoping to rescue him with the reality spoken of in this speech. Good luck.

And then I got to thinking: hey why not also post it here in case nobody really thinks about it.  So, here it is.

Too bad far too many Jews haven't yet figured out how much danger to them comes from the Left. But don't be too smug my friends -- it's a shame so many conservatives have not yet figured out how much danger to them comes from RINOs SKUNCs. Capice?

Maybe one day Jews will figure it out. But I don't see much hope. For some understanding, how many liberal Christian organizations have also been lost to Leftism? Christians who can't stand the fact that their own religious institutions have moved way to the Left (and just about abandoned all that used to make them God fearing) may have an understanding of how isolated conservative Jews must feel.

What Would You Guess It Was?

Beginning just before 1 A.M. yesterday, the web crawlers started hitting my blog post Ayn Rand Loved Titans, Not Mankind?

Since that time I've had about 50 hits, the majority with the search term "Ayn Rand's Titan." (For some reason known only to Google, they place my post at the top. On other web engines I'm a bit lower.)

One guess it that this was prompted by a clue in a crossword puzzle. But most crossword puzzlers are pretty knowledgeable, so why would they have to use a web crawler to discover it was Atlas?

Could it be a contest on a late night talkshow host? But then why would the Googling continue into today? And they are coming in from all over the world.

Maybe I'll get lucky and one of the searchers may stumble onto this post.

Wazzup? What triggered this interest in who was the title Titan in one of Ayn Rand's novels?

Courage

In order to have courage, you first need something that is more important than your own life. Then you're ready to put your own life in the path of whatever threatens that something. Where your certainties have been undermined -- like by the moral relativism of the Cultural Marxists -- the ground you need to support that courage will not be there when you need it most. There is a moral absolute your author still retains. See if you can figure it out.

I cannot explain to myself why I feel this way, but for me I have found courage in my attempts to protect the idea of protecting innocent human life.  I've suffered slings and arrows and lost friendships and shunning in the process. I have to imagine that I'm not alone. I had hoped to meet more than I have in the years I've been on line. What bothers me is the number of smart people who once were my allies who have turned their backs without any cogent explanation. Maybe their courage is not found where mine is, so they rather not be associated with me.

The enemies of innocent human life (innocence as judged by the Judeo-Christian ethic) have established what I would call a liberal religion. I'll speak at length on liberalism as religion another time [future update]. Because liberalism does not call itself a religion, it thereby has managed to gain the upper hand in our governing bodies and in our institutions because it could not be declared in violation of the 1st Amendment of U.S. Constitution. Yet it is very clearly a belief system that is intertwined in both of our two major political parties in the form of "selective tolerance". What is tolerated is very subjective to change. The domination of this line of thinking achieved its hegemony by imposing a sort of intellectual bigotry -- "oh, he's good at his job, but he doesn't think like the rest of us, so is not a candidate for an executive position." What was once identified as the unspoken "gentleman's agreement" still flourishes on the path to power.

To speak against this situation is another (less clear danger) where courage is needed.
First it takes courage to address it so others can comprehend what it is.
Then it takes courage to see that it exists.
Then it takes courage to buck the power structure that exists because of it.
And have no mistake about it. Liberalism is not the religion of the most powerful, and they do not really believe it themselves. They have simply encouraged such beliefs and tolerance and niceness because it served their growing hunger for power. Their religion is their self.

The enemies of innocent human life also have allowed to grow lunatic fringe elements who traffic in much of the truth. Why? But putting the spotlight on lunatics who have been proclaiming the truth, then when normal people discover the truth they can be lambasted by the ages old demagogic fallacy of "guilt by association."  We saw this used against the TEA party movement. The lunatic left can be the pigs they are all the time in their demonstrations, but the media deliberately lied by associating the left's demonstrations with the TEA party demonstrators in every manner, even after the lies had been exposed.

An example of this was sent to me by email. Am I wrong, but isn't Alex Jones associated with Trutherism?
Well, here he is speaking of the video "The Soviet Story" which I highlighted here and here early this year.

If you watch that, please stick to the first 70 seconds. Here is what you'll hear
"You must all know half a dozen people at least who are of no use in this world. Who are more trouble than they are worth. Just put them there and say; 'Sir or madame. Now will you be kind enough to justify your existence?' If you can't justify your existence, if you're not pulling your weight on the social rope, if you are not producing as much as you consume, or perhaps a little more, then clearly we cannot use the big organizations of our society for the purpose of keeping you alive. Because your life does not benefit us, it can't be of very much use to yourself." -- George Bernard Shaw as the Utilitarian/Eugenicist/Misanthrope in his own words.

I personally can't stand hearing Jones' voice. Still, Jones rightly focused on the segment. Jones is simply another broken clock there. Please don't let that deter you. Our enemies certainly are counting on our fear of their slander campaigns.

You see our problem. Because Alex Jones highlights this video and this segment, it will put off many people from looking at it and the truth it exposes. If they overcome that fear, and they DO watch it, there's more fears to overcome. They next will fear guilt by association for responding as Jones did.

Or it could be even worse than that. They could fear guilt by association simply for coming to the unmistakable conclusion I've highlighted just below my masthead: "If our 'leaders' are so humanitarian, how is it that we never hear them direct a harsh word at the Malthusian, Utilitarian and Green nutcases?" How is it our cultural mavens still considers George Bernard Shaw a genius without reservation? Silence is agreement.

I've had the courage to call out our leaders on their silence in this matter for a very long time -- long before the Johnny-come-lately Alex Jones got here.

Dear Readers, it is always nice to hear I am not alone, and I do enjoy hearing from you. But it would be a Godsend to hear many more calling out our "leaders" on this, their ignominious silence.

It takes courage to know what is right and accurate no matter how complex the lies have been arranged, and stand firm with courage to defend what is worth defending. In my case, it is for defending innocents and the meaning of innocence from those who hate humanity. In about 12 out of 13 instances (based upon our enemies' plans), that means I am trying to defend you.

Modern Yes, Postmodern No.

So that you may understand what I’ve been fighting all these years.

I invariably use postmodern when referring to the trend, and use contemporary when I wish to refer to the now. I reserve modern to refer a thing or condition that came about as an incremental improvement over whatever preceded it.

The modern age was filled with the byproducts of the Age of Reason and the Industrial Revolution.
The postmodern age is what comes from permitting rulers to assign to all us subjects LIMITS to our seeking improvements. Postmodern portends the bleak future that our rulers intend for us.

My using the terms in this manner has not prevented others from maligning modernity when they use modern to refer to what the policies of “Progressives” Statists have done to our way of life, but at least I try to apply the terms consistently. From time to time I call others on their error when it appears they have simply failed to notice how newspeak has been creeping in, and -- surprisingly enough -- have often been received pleasantly.

Using postmodern to refer to this growing oppressive state then frees up modern to preserve the spark of that vision of seeking improved living conditions for all of humanity.

Huck's Judgment

Mike Huckabee has launched a laudable campaign. His stated purpose is to provide parents with entertainment materials that would fill the void in their children's education about what is great about America.

Here is the initial evidence of this endeavor:

Up to this point, this has the appearance of a news blog -- merely laying out the facts.

However, this is an opinion blog. Many say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This cartoon presentation is trash. My initial reaction, when I first saw it at JWF, was as if I were addressing Mr Huckabee: "Not everyone who claims to be your friend is your friend."

After another comment appeared later that described this as "dorky," I decided it was much worse than that. The cartoon representation of Ronald Reagan is hideous. My cartoonist associate tells me that it was the wrong cartoon generation program: too rough, too loud. Technical problems. But I noticed something even more sinister. In cartoon movies, it is hugely uncommon for the hero to be shown baring his teeth. And when he does it's as he smiles, not as he talks. The villain is depicted with a snarl, and baring his teeth. Mr. Reagan's image barely looks human here. And in the short scene where he's speaking the famous "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall," he's shown with jagged teeth, and very unappealing, unlike the real life image where he was smiling. I'm sorry. The producers could deny any ill intent. You may deny to yourself that they could have had any ill-intent. But I'm sorry: they can't pee in my eye and tell me it's only rain. This video is an attempt to trash the great legacy of Ronald Reagan. Those responsible deserve to be hung in effigy and be known as pariahs wherever they go.

In my opinion, the little video reveals that the whole venture is infested with hucksters who've taken advantage of those who backed the venture with good money. They targeted conservatives as suckers, and I can hear their pitch now. "Aren't you sick and tired of watching your values being trashed? Here's your opportunity to fight back."

This is indicative of trouble on many levels that strikes at every American who may have, in the past, only mildly thought they were under attack. Indeed, we have long been the victims of many who claim to be our friends who have been slipping knives in our backs. Arianna Huffington, David Brooks, Chris Buckley. You ought by now recognize that there is an all out assault on you and the liberties that are at the fundamental core of what has provided you such a cushy life.

But how can I go about making this case not just strongly, but convincingly?

For starters, I resisted titling this post with a strident alliteration. There are several nasty words that rhyme with Huck that would be suitably descriptive of his judgment in backing this project.

No, I think it best to let Huck himself put the stake through the heart of any who still dream he'd make a good president.

Here's his eager promotion for this money making operation in case you think he's not 100% behind this atrocity.

As you see, he's backing this whole-heartedly. I think it raises a whole host of questions.
  • Where is his common sense?
  • Did he even look at the product?
  • Wasn't he even a little embarrassed?
  • Even if he lacks the cultural sense, what does this say of his ability to choose advisors?
  • Good money was poured into this project. Did Huck's name help raise funds?
  • What is his fiduciary responsibility, his moral responsibility, to those who he drew in?
  • Among the good money, how much stimulus funding -- our taxes -- was wasted?
  • If there were stimulus funds, how much editorial bias came from the Obama cronies?
  • Is there anything else Huck could disclose about this project that is not in the open?
Mike Huckabee is slated to make an announcement this weekend on his Fox News Channel show. It is rumored to be his decision about throwing his hat into the ring for the GOP candidacy for president. Let us hope that Mr. Huckabee has retained some good judgment that appears nowhere in this project, and declares he's not in the running**.

**Updated 8:55 PM EDT May 14, 2011 is the time a broken clock got it right tonight.

Remedial Training for Americans

Ever the optimist, I have faith that it is not too late. Where there is life there's hope (and when Obamacare is discarded for its unconstitutionality, you may still be permitted to preserve your life without the approval of misanthropes in DC).

Anyway, thanks to a quip by the irrepressible Tam (and then thanks to the tip by Kevin Baker) I put together the first of a set of slides for a hypothetical PowerPoint presentation.

Derived from an observation Tam put in a nutshell. Click to enlarge.

I would hope others who think positively will create their own slides for "math" (or comparative logic) lectures such as this. Surely there are other quips that could be put together for other subjects. Let's hear ideas from the rest of you. (Or don't as one of my pessimistic fans relentlessly tells me you will not.)

You could pour thousands of your extra dollars each year into public education and never expect the educational professionals to offer lectures such as this. All you need do here is place your ideas into the hopper and hope others build on it as I did with Tam's. My version of Tam's quip may be seen as lame by many, but at least I'm trying to do something more. Do your part or finally admit that all you are doing is griping to those who already think as you do.

Natural Law Consequence

While I remain agnostic in a manner that very few understand -- "I think it means something different than you think it means" -- there is the question I've posed to the faithful.

"If God has given us free choice, is it possible that Revelation tells us what MUST come to pass?"

I know the answer to this question. Dear faithful -- can you say it?

What I find so very sad is how many who claim to be faithful have chosen the path of inevitable fate.

"For the Children"

Q: How can a Leftist/Fascist/Statist any longer say a socialist program is "for" the children (rather than for power-mad politicians, corporate cronies, agency heads, bureaucrats and union thugs) and keep a straight face?

A: Orwellian "double-think" let's them pull the lie off with grace. They do it much in the same manner that Bill Clinton would be convincing. He explained how, in his double-thinking, that "it all depends on what your definition of is is," allowed him to be believable as he lied.

Call them on it. "The word you left out of your sentence is enslaving."

The Statist smoothies are saying: "It's for           the children."
The Statist monsters are thinking: "It's for enslaving the children."

At this point in time, with the deficit spending and the mounting debts, the Statists are dead set on a course of enslaving our children with the debt used to keep them and their cronies at the top and in luxury.

Stop letting them pee in your collective ears and convincing your idiot neighbors that it is only rain.

FIGHT THE LYING BASTARDS. CALL THEM OUT ON THIS AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY.

Mitt Romney So Lacks Courage to be President That We Need a New Press

Straight up, so far as I know, this is something only I remember, as none of the few people I've told about this recall it. But I remember it strongly. I remembered it from just before I had anything but good feelings about Mr. Romney.  However, what I'm going to tell you does not undermine only a Romney candidacy. I will be clearer when I get done.

Mr. Romney ran against Ted Kennedy in the 1994 race for U.S. senator from Massachusetts. In October the pollsters had Mr. Romney in the lead by some margin that I do not recall. It was reported that the momentum favored Mr. Romney, and he appeared on track to defeat the scandalous old bird.

And then a funny thing happened. I do not recall exactly what it was that I saw televised. It was some time around Oct 20, 1994 -- a press conference, or a debate, or a campaign stop, whatever. What is on my mind is this:
  • Mr. Romney was behind a bunch of microphones and speaking.
  • What came out of his mouth was very incoherent and his body language was edgy.
  • He spoke like a man who'd had a stroke, or was frightened out of his mind.
  • I saw it in a newscast in Los Angeles about the campaign in MA.
  • If it did happen, surely there are many from MA who remember this too.
  • I'd heard him speak before, and since, and I've never heard him like that again.
At any rate, he subsequently lost. Having faith in my memory, I think Kennedy won heavily with over 55%.

What Mr. Romney's performance suggested to me shortly after the election was "here is a man who was made an offer he could not refuse."

So it was my near instant conclusion that someone literally scared him into blowing his appeal to MA voters in that race. Furthermore, it is apparent that whomever or whatever caused him to do what he did, they or it did not trouble him in later races. Maybe he learned how to control whatever it was, or maybe he'd proven to them that he was a controllable asset. In either case, such a man is not one I'd ever want as president

But what about you? If you could see that event as I saw it, I would think you'd have to lie to yourself not to arrive at the same conclusion.

Okay, this is where you come in. Does anybody reading this recall this event too? Or might anyone you know recall it? I'd love to hear from you.

More importantly, it is something that only us on the web are likely to bring to light.  How could such evidence have been allowed to fade into history? At the least it demonstrates -- again -- how incompetent has become the American institution that has been granted access to gather news and disseminate it. More troubling is that the media seems never to have been interested in shedding light on most dark political practices of which we catch only a glimpse from time to time. It is as if they deliberately spark all sorts of speculative conspiracy theories to fill the gap so that they can tear down the wildest of them and thereby never address real ones. However many events that the press has not uncovered, it seems to have served the purpose of power seekers. Look at how much power they have gained and how defeated are our famed checks and balances. Haven't you come to understand how this game is played already? Yet even though their shrinking audience proves that they have become widely untrusted, the NAILers still keep on pounding away so that America still believes lies or half truths. It is as if Joseph Goebbels never died.

Hence it is highly unlikely that, were we to ask them, the NAILers would be forthcoming with archival footage that would back up what I am recalling for you about Mitt Romney.

So it's going to have to come from us. The recounting will have to by multiple eye witnesses to an event that happened more than 16 years ago. Who else remembers that crazy performance by Mr. Romney?

One other more reliable evidence may be available to us. One or more Americans may have the footage on their old VCR video tapes. If someone has it, PLEASE, as a public service, convert it to video that can be spread around the web.

Now it is fair to ask: "OK Pascal. Let's assume the sad footage you are recalling is found, and it does convince America that Mr. Romney is unworthy. How can we know if many or even all of the other front running candidates are not as bad or worse than Mr. Romney?"

We don't and we can't as things now stand. And that is the point of this effort. The younger Mr. Romney was probably as much a victim of the shadowy forces that control our politics as the rest of us have been at least over the last 20 years and probably much longer. Gathering the evidence that proves my conclusions is not really about the small consequence of putting an end to Mr. Romney's run. It is about exposing the bigger picture of how dangerous to our liberties are those who control the news.

Already so many of us trust little that the NAILers have produced except for their having the resources to gather facts. And we trust (heh) that they then suppress those facts they do not like. We have got to replace the entire institution that gathers and provides us news so we can make informed decisions.  We need a new and reliable institution -- and already much of the web is infested with those who control the old media. So we need to be vigilant. We need more trustworthy people. We need untouchables. I do not know how we can get them, but I'd like to inspire others to try. Someones with money, courage and pull.

Lenin's take-over of press and radio has been described as fundamental in his building of The Evil Empire. Our Statists have done the same to all forms of communication here. The long time suppression of this video so that Mr. Romney is still a major candidate, really does prove how bad they have been for our republic. I think its suppression -- "move along, nothing to see here" -- is so glaring that it could really kick off something which many know that we direly need -- the total replacement of the Fourth Estate,

More anon.

"They're Too Stupid to Beat 'Em"

A pessimistic friend of mine mocked my efforts at trying something different -- like putting my money where my mouth is a second time (he -- er, not so much) -- simply to provide an incentive for you individual snarkers out there to publicize your snarks and zingers and sound ideas rather than railing in an empty room at nincompoops trying to look presidential on the TV tonight. (Fox News Channel, 9 PM EDT)

My friend, after reading

$200 to TEApartiers Who Beat the GOP Candidate in Debate

responded with the following dismissal:  "You can't buy spontaneity."

Sounds like a communist. However, from all reports, he is known as a hard worker. I'm absolutely sure his being offered a bonus never added a bit of zip to his efforts in his life. NOT. LOL.

Folks. My friend has got to be the most pessimistic curmudgeon whose acquaintance I've ever had the pleasure of acquiring. Help me prove him wrong.

Help me publicize this contest so that we can get at least 500 different entrants made up of individuals or groups of individuals. I figure that number is what is needed to come up with maybe ten really good comments that would show our wannabe rulers what real leaders ought to be saying and trying to get done and putting the MSM NAIL agency in its place.

It would make my job more difficult having to go through the scores of potential responses in each of 500 entries, but I'm willing to do what needs to be done. I'm willing to do the work as long as you guys are willing to take your zingers, that otherwise are only heard in your living room, and submit them here.

And put in your bid to gain a few bucks. Maybe if this works, others will do it too. In time, we can both build and finance our TEA Party independently.

I'm not the fastest wit on the web, nor sharpest tack in or out of the box, but I'm willing to try anything that might break this deadly stranglehold the GOP has had on keeping conservatism and classical liberalism divided, marginalized, and out of power.

$200 to TEApartiers Who Beat the GOP Candidates in Debate -- Update 2

The GOP is having a presidential candidate debate tomorrow tonight in South Carolina. Fox News Channel, 9 PM EDT.

Your challenge is to listen to the questions and answers and decide what the best answer YOU would come up with.

In the past, TV tells us who wins, and they've rigged the set-up. IOW, they NAIL our minds with this set up time and again. I have myself come up with better answers, some of which were quite funny while being practical.

It is my thinking that the American public is far smarter than any currently serving politician or well-known spokesmouth. Here is your chance to prove that is true and get some publicity too.

I am going to do my part to drum up interest in unofficial answers.

To that end, I am prepared to divide up $200 for the answers submitted to my email box that I find better than the answers given by the GOP stiffs to the conservative unfriendly questions served up by the establishmentarian water carriers. And turning the tables on the water carriers by mocking their question before tailoring your answer can be a winner!

Deadline for submission is 11:59 PM Saturday, 5/07/11.
I will decide which duplicate winning responses came in first. Any sign of hacking of the date or other portions of the email will invalidate the submission.
There is a minimum number of submissions needed before the full $200 becomes available. I reserve the right to reduce the total payout accordingly.
My decisions will be final.

You can work with as many others as you wish to come up with the best answers. Have a TEA Party teaparty and maybe make some money showing the GOP what answers YOU want them to make.

**Update**
It has been implied that you all are just too stupid to come up with anything that might be clever enough to show up and embarrass the party that claims to be fighting Obama and the SKUNCs in its own party. I clearly think that is a lie perpetrated by Judas goats.

**Update 2**
The contest is now closed to new entries. An entry was recovered from my spam folder, possibly because it was from a new contact. If you tried to submit and did not receive a verification email by today, Monday, leave a comment to that effect here and we will see what we can do. You have until 11:59 PM PDT Tuesday to make your claim.

Atlas Mugged

I finally went to see Atlas Shrugged Part 1 yesterday. It was not any better than I imagined it could be. Ayn Rand built into her story physical limitations and ideological failings that I've mentioned before but which are not the reason I am writing this.

The movie does not deserve the bad press it has gotten. For one, at least two of the no-name actors are enjoyable to see. Why some critics would lambaste it for using unknowns positively stinks of elitism.

For another, it is so laughable that some critics gave it 0 stars. I'm not the first to point out that one of the villains in Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead was a critic (I think his name was Toohey). After yesterday's lambasting of Mr. Obama for being petty, I should point out that his level of petty vindictiveness pales in comparison to that of the critics of this film. How could anyone take Roger Ebert's opinon seriously ever again? Certainly not after realizing how he must be carrying an obvious vendetta towards a 2011 film for a book published more than 3-score years ago.

But let's look passed the clownishness of hyper-critics. More importantly, there is an ideologically damaging scene in this film for which the majority of NAILer outlet critics are paid to dissuade the public from ever seeing and comprehending its implications. (Just as Toohey was paid to destroy architects who built contrary to the wishes of the newspaperman that paid the critic's salary).

There is the scene where the industrialist goes to visit the director of the State Science Institute. It reveals to the viewing public, in a manner that mere words don't display, How Scientists On the Public Dole Are Pressured Into Standing Behind Fraudulent Studies.

Just for that scene alone, the NAILer critics panned this movie.

So, in complimentary fashion, just for that scene alone, pick one acquaintance who you believe is wavering about the global warming scam. Take them with you to see this movie.

In short, if you love the global warming scam, you want nobody to see this movie.

Yes Bummer is That Petty

I've gotten negative feedback about my NAILer post of early today.

Look. I'm sorry, but I know everyone with half a brain cell knows that the timing of Bummer's commandeering of the air waves at the time he did, for news that could wait and not require such a drastic act, was political payback to Donald Trump (even if it hurt the programs on all other networks too).

Yet how many this morning called him on it?

It is another instance where we see the emperor's new clothes syndrome at play. Years of implanting submissive behavior through political cowering has indeed yielded up vast numbers of political cowards.

And if this were a movie, most of you reading this, and a great many of the people you know, would recognize what Bummer did without waiting for Sean Connery to finish explaining it.

Simply put: WE KNOW BUMMER IS THAT PETTY. Yes, it is frightening -- and ought to be -- that he carries the codes to the nuclear football.

Dammit folks, call him on his pettiness while you still have the liberty. Force the alleged top public servant to tone it down. If he has any sense that has not been overwhelmed by his ego, he may just begin to hear you.

Don't deny that he IS that petty. Call him on it. As relentlessly as the NAILers mess with your head.

Essentially people: Tell Bummer to grow up.

NAILed

NAILED would be News Arranged to Inculcate Lies Every Day. At least that was when daily newspapers ruled the news.

The more concise acronym for today's media would be NAIL since they do it relentlessly now 24/7.

Now I never liked the acronyms for our lying media (Ministry of Lies, Administry of Lies, or Agency of Lies) that I've stabbed at in the past. But I do like the acronym of

News Aimed at Inculcating Lies.
It is so damn descriptive is it not? (You could also use Arranged to Indoctrinate if that floats your boat.)
Have you been NAILed lately? How did you like it?
And last night, the NAILer in chief arranged to commandeer the air waves at 10:30 PM EDT -- and then was over an hour late. There is no sound reason to delay a 15 minute speech that could have been delivered without fanfare in 2 minutes at a quickly called press conference the next morning given that the news event was already days old.

No, the purpose in arranging the hour and then delaying the big news would be clear to the target of the arranged hit. In any movie about the mob, most of the audience would catch on immediately. And just in case the few dullards in the audience (and Kevin Costner) didn't get the message, Sean Connery would explain "it was the Chicago Way."

But in this day and age of Political Cowering, "not so fast there Guido." So Let me put it to you nicely.

Dammitall folks. Bummer's purpose was to deliver the message in no uncertain terms to Donald Trump, whose hit TV show was known to be in progress at 10:30, "That is what you get for messing with the big dog." You've been NAILed Mr. Trump.

Subtle, like a hammer, for The Donald

And a special thank you to Joan of Arrggh! for reminding me of this photo yesterday evening.

Seeking to Be The Sovereign Automatically Delegitimizes His Sworn Oath

Even when they act in this way, our rulers cannot admit they think themselves now superior over other Americans. It becomes up to us to ascertain whether or not it is mostly true that they seek to do so. And if so shown, demand their significant reform or their unconditional resignation.

Our rulers have not announced nor openly admitted the moral code under which they find themselves feeling good about what they are doing. Since it places them above us, and in America that is not functionally possible under the constitution, they may never admit it.

For to admit they have assumed superior status automatically delegitimizes them under the oath they took to the constitution, a constitution that begins with "We the people." Once any elected official believes himself above it all and unaccountable, he is no longer honoring his oath.

Compile the evidence. See if it is or is not mostly true that our leaders have assumed a superior status. Show that their acts are applied not equally under law, but arbitrarily to favor those who help them gain power. Show by a predominance of evidence which of the following is an accurate conclusion.
  • They see themselves as having been elected to a position above equals in sovereignty to be the servants of the sovereigns, and not to rule,
  • Or they have assumed for themselves the power of a sovereign over the many, seeking to control every facet needed for the individual to be secure in his life, his liberty and his seeking of happiness.

***Update***
In comments, Og demonstrates the quick way to review the circumstances, discards the ruler's claim that all his pee is only rain, and concludes:
Anti-constitutional? You betcha. An American Monarchy? Got-damned right. Evil, on it's surface and in substance? Probably. Curable?
Anyone??

Bueller?

And Joan of Argghh! is passing out banners.
More, Dammit!

American: Why Do Your Rulers Hate You?

American: Why Do Your Rulers Hate You?

I believe the answer can be found in understanding that your rulers are operating under a yet to be (and maybe never) openly admitted "new morality."

But first: How is it that you, a sovereign in your own right -- along with every other individual American who are the legitimizers of your government, all of you -- will come to that time when you finally (are forced to?) recognize that you now have rulers over you instead of officials elected by you?

Then:
How is it that your rulers have grown to hate you?

The dream that inspired these questions, but has now faded, was so terrifying that it awoke me this morning and compelled me to jump up out of bed and write this.

I am saddened that I could only get this far today. It was all so clear up until I got to the point that I began writing this. (There is another small and vivid portion that I jotted down first and sent out to another who might help me understand it).

On the up side, I am amazed and glad I was able to get this far. Maybe the most terrifying thing about it -- what awoke me -- was that there was no open violence. It all came about, a rotten decaying situation, as a matter of the course of events. Right now. On-going.

I may have more, but I just don't know yet. I'm going back to sleep for a bit.

My dear fellow American: can you help me answer these questions?

Can't Break an Old Dog of a Bad Habit

I still consider the BC issue to be a deliberate red herring. Nevertheless, the ramifications that illuminate how much stupidity exists in halls of power makes it meaningful beyond it being meant to distract attention from all the other extra-constitutional activity going on in DC.

Something came up this morning that runs contrary to my surmise that the release of Mr. Bummer's birth certificate was a deliberate, in your face "Yes, I lied. Watcha gonna do about it punk?" kind of tyrannical ploy.

The following also suggests someone in the White House deliberately has it in for Mr. Bummer. (Let's face it: I think we would all much rather have the turncoat scenario be true than the Stalinesque scenario.)

The following is an excerpt from this.
And now, let’s compare the birth time and the dates of the signatures on your long form cert abstract to the Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa, British Proctectorate of Kenya, Barack Hussein Obama II Certificate of Birth. I’m sure you see what I see, Sir. Your boy genius, the Official Document Maker Czar, has just effectively tied you to the Kenyan Birth Certificate a Lucas Smith bribed to get from Kenyan officials. [emphasis added]
Yep, they are identical. The original “fraudulent” Kenyan birth certificate somehow has the same time of birth, 7:24 PM, as Bummer’s reluctantly released long form.

If the Kenyan BC was a fraud, and the Hawaiian has supposedly been under lock and key until early this week, how did the alleged Kenyan forger know that last year?

I am embarrassed for all of us for not noticing that amazing coincidence. There are 1440 minutes in every day. Somehow the Kenyan “forger” chose the correct time of day? The probability is 1/1440. Not impossible, but so unlikely without prior knowledge, that it is more likely the alleged forger of the recently released long form is so lacking in creativity, he wound up plagiarizing the earlier forger’s material.

Quick — do you remember anyone in Bummer’s WH who has a history of plagiarism?
[fill-in the blank]

Obama: “Hey Joe. I give you a simple little job to do, plenty of money, and this is the best you could come up with?”

This is a foul-up, hiding in plain sight, that is of Nixonian proportions. All the usual suspects will defend Mr. Bummer and try to explain away this Bummer snafu, and maybe some new, formerly thought Right-loyalists, will join in.  It will be of no good to him.

IMO, this is what comes from Mr. Bummer declaring that he would not follow a law that Congress had passed and he himself had signed rather than veto. Mr. Nixon tried something similar, and the sleeping dog of Watergate became news all over again very shortly thereafter. Mr. Bummer is a very poor student of history too.

Must You Fiddle While America Burns?

Are Americans behaving like the postmodern equivalent of Nero? More and more attention is being paid to defending the principle known as presidential eligibility while the alleged fraud is perpetrating much larger frauds.

While we fiddle over the latest version of this old red herring and do battle with all the usual suspects who defend it, Bummer is daily making a mockery of every other constitutional limit on government authority.

Here is a partial list of excesses, ones that this old man could think of this morning, that Bummer continues to skate on.
  • ObamaCare’s on-going implementation
  • Friends of Obama openly getting tax and regulation breaks
  • Seeming out of control EPA killing industries and raising fuel prices
  • Strong-arm breaking of contracts to favor unions (e.g., GM’s take-over)
  • Undeclared acts of wars (Libya) without any Congressional review
  • Continuing to pay Czars despite law (Bummer signed) declaring it illegal.

To help you add to this list, here's a new article at American Thinker: Obama's Real Strategy.

So You Think This is Over

You’ve GOT To Be Kidding Me (Birth Certificate)

Anyone who thinks this is over is nuts. This is the red herring that just keeps on working. Even the debunker asks the question: Why is this forgery so amateurish?
The despot reserves the privilege to pee in your ear and then demand you accept his claim it’s only rain. #
As the burgeoning State gains more power, expect more of this.

There are already many people who will continue to make an issue of Obama's eligibility. The man is a fraud on so many levels, yet there are so many politicians on both sides of the aisle who look the other way. At this point, him being born on Mars would be besides the point. The CIC has been allowed so much dictatorial power that goes unanswered (e.g.: SCOTUS refused fast-track review of ObamaCare, giving time to the poisoners to overload our finances and culture), how can any rational person doubt that there is no real political opposition to what he is doing?

This is how Statism works my friends. It creates its own opposition like a debater creates a straw-man argument. Put away your political science books and look to the World Wrestling Federation to understand what is transpiring.

Those who work for the powers that be, willingly or unwillingly, you will continue to go along providing distractions as one neighbor after another disappears — if you know what is good for you.

But as for the rest, the poorly connected but well-meaning fools who continue to make an issue of the birth certificate: I agree with you that in principle it is an important issue. But in the meantime, as you defend that island, the tsunami is washing away all your other more substantive principles.  Wake up.

Could Our Politics Get More Sullan?

By the time you finish this commentary, I expect you'll understand the pun in the title.

Redbaiter published another story about Obama's ineligibility to be president today. Democrat Researcher/ Professor Proclaims “Obama Probably Not US Citizen.”

I am still in the camp that sees nothing to gain from the BC issue. I look at it in much the same way there was nothing useful that came from impeaching Bill Clinton for his coverup of his affair with an intern. I do not recall any justice arising from the Whitewater scandal except maybe Jim McDougal's death in prison due his being "accidentally" denied his heart medication -- and he always had the appearance of a scapegoat.  Still worse, how many remember Monica Lewinsky but don't remember
  • That China got the neutron bomb out from under Clinton's nose.
  • Or that China got missile guidance technology with Clinton's blessing.
  • Or that nobody ever was prosecuted for the WH's illegal possession of raw FBI files.
  • Or that nobody in Obama's campaign felt any legal threat from accepting foreign campaign funds (maybe even from Wahhabist influences) because nobody in the Clinton camp was ever prosecuted for accepting money from the Chinese military.
I could go on, but you ought to get my drift here. There are so many members of the GOP who've gone along with charades of the past, how could they not be openly playing along with this one too? What is so surprising about the Obama hiding all his history and yet the media and the GOP along with all but a few Democrats (like this Notre Prof.) keep pointing to the COLB as if that answers EVERY QUESTION about the fraud in the WH?

They pee on our backs and tell us it's only rain, and we're supposed to accept that?

I am continually amazed that so many people, such as RB, seem never to have heard the phrase "red herring." There is something amiss when otherwise smart people seem unable to admit that politicians staged fights so that they can pull off many things worse while everybody is distracted.

Anyway, back to the story RB posted this morning. The excerpt he highlighted
I will give you the unpleasant punch line upfront: There is sufficient evidence to reasonably conclude that Barack Obama is probably not a U.S. citizen, therefore constitutionally ineligible to be president of the United States.

The fact that he has been serving in that office would then be not only the most audacious hoax in world history — at least since the Trojan Horse. It also creates a constitutional crisis of the first magnitude that will take decades to straighten out.
Well, it might not take decades to decide if circumstances are made to appear dire enough. Power seekers might stage protests featuring this cry — “decades to straighten things are too long to wait” — and thereby lay the groundwork for the elevation of a “temporary” American dictator.

He might come to power in the manner of Lucius Cornelius Sulla who warred against Marius (the Roman proto-Marxist) and then outlawed (forced into exile) all Marius’ known surviving acolytes.” (Julius Caesar was one of those exiles.) But it would set in motion the final end of the American republic just as the rise of Sulla had done to Rome; that was despite Sulla seeming to have intended exactly the opposite result.

I warned against something arising like this a few years ago when I had no idea what might be the specific cause.
One Thing Will Save Our Republic. and it is not our own Sulla. Of course, in order to make that case I had to discuss the history of his rise.

I would think that all who would save the American republic need to be aware of that history. No?

----
That was the end of my commentary this morning. However, in retrospect, I still do not believe we have it in us to elevate a dictator or tolerate one who tries to seize such power. Part of the checks and balances that our founders put into our government was that our political leaders -- unlike ancient Rome -- could not simultaneously be military leaders.

That being said, that lack of us enduring a Sullan future does not forestall what appears to be sullen one heading our way. But it not that bleak either. It's a challenge facing you youngsters like none America has had to face up to before.

As I said in my earlier commentary on the subject, the one thing that will save our republic from the growing tyranny. It is a major restoration of our great cultural heritage by majority agreement, and one that is centered on the concept of God towering above all men. Nothing else has a real chance at defeating all the old hatreds that the agents of our out of control government has been rebuilding to divide us in order to enslave us all.

Malware Designed for the Heart

Guest commentary by Cond0010

In an effort to aid Pascal in his seeking to adequately nail down the "new" morality of those filled with animus toward the Judeo-Christian moral code, I'm adding my thoughts.

If you look at a people's culture/religion as an Operating System for the mind/soul to reside in and function, I would think that the new 'morality' is Malware.

Short-sighted. Unfounded. UNgrounded. Its the road to a shallow and dysfunctional anarchical society. Smash and Grab from those who work and redistribute to those who need (All mouth and no muscle -- an infantilzed society). Don't get me wrong, babies are cute and cuddly, but not as infantilized adults. We are raising a country of Baby Hueys.

Pascal notes:
UNgrounded is the aim of the cultural Marxists. It's hard to be courageous and stand your ground when the jokers have been hollowing out every underpinning in sight.

The new morality has been designed so that the people will worship men who'll promise to provide them more stability. Hence, the undermining of American culture I've witnessed all of my long life. It's a code that permits lies and hides costs, but "all for the greater good." It needs to be exposed so that men can make a clear and certain traditionally moral decision based upon their long obscured and waylaid, but often still present, God-implanted conscience.

The malware to which you refer is a good name for what C.S. Lewis wrote of in "Men Without Chests." There he reported on how our teaching colleges before WW II were indoctrinating new teachers. Teachers were to not permit the past -- with its lessons that came at terrible costs -- to influence the student's view of the future. The aim was to mold students to have an "open mind." This is why the "best" liberals never hear what you have to say about the lessons of the past. They've been inculcated to ignore it all lest they be seen as lacking that open mind their favorite teachers so treasured.

You and I may have been educated in different sorts of institutions, but the teachers for all institutions were affected by the same malware before they were sent out to teach.

That malware was needed so that the things like the new morality would appear acceptable without much complaint. Once present, anti-human, conscience overwriting ideas were more easily accepted by many of us.

From my perspective, the destruction of the non-criminal individual's normal "live and let live" reflex was and is its purpose. It is to be replaced by something quite foreign to America. Our American skills have been harnessed to produce a machine run by a few ruthless men to rule the world. It remains hard to imagine how sophisticated such an evil plan and goal had to be -- now multi-generational -- from the start, but it clearly has been.
Yes. The new morality is parasitical off the old Morality.

Its purpose really is deconstruction of the old model so that the new model can take its place.

To take God out of the societal morality erodes and undermines the sanctity of the individual human being whereby we would merely be a human resource -- robotic meat to do the bidding for the masters until its function is no longer required.

Its conclusions are ominous -- especially with the progressives goals and attitudes towards 'the human animal'.

This chilling video is really not that far from the truth:

(I know, you've seen this before, but its worth repeating considering the fact we are talking about Moral Malware)

The feral happiness enacted by the progressive characters in this video encapsulates teh future attitudes of the Progressive Left towards those who do not think their way. What's even more horrifying is that there are those on the left who think this video is funny. This is a perfect example of those who have completely lost their Judeo-Christian ethic on human life. True Christians/Jews would be horrified of this -- even for their enemies.

Whats the logical conclusion if this moral malware takes hold firmly in Western Civilization? Well... There are a few agendas that are on the docket:

  • The New World order where a small elite of the world will govern everyone.
  • Greenhouse gas emissions need to be reduced drastically because of Global Warming
  • Eating meat is murder, causes global warming, is bad for your health etc...
  • Obesity is bad and should be regulated out of existence.
  • Smoking cigarettes is bad and should be regulated out of existence.
  • Health care is universal and a panel decides your worthiness to society and the amount that you are repaired.
  • A woman has a right to abort the parasitical infestation that grows in her womb.
  • blah, blah, blah...
  • .
  • .
  • .
  • The World is over populated by Humans.

Simple disposal of excess protoplasm walking around should be rather easy once they get that whole uncomfortable 'God issue' out of the way with the upside of resolving the above said agendas rather easily.

Considering the convenience of the new morality and that being human is an evil thing, people ought to happily go to the disintegration chambers. If they don't like it they are being selfish and evil -- thus any disturbing issues of conscience for the Disposal Engineers are nullified and so they can happily go about their business, too.

Meet the new disposable future where we preserve teh world and dispose of the excess people (especially the 'undesirable' ones): A cross between Logans Run, the Stepford Wives and Avatar.

Life's Frustrations

Og cried out "idiots everywhere I look."

He's hardly alone. Worse, there are days I figure I'm the idiot for being quiet about it.

So in an effort to reduce the idiocy I attempt to drop a helpful hint in hopes that the man so encumbered will catch on and fix the cause of his troubles himself.

But there's a hitch. Most idiots can't endure even a vague inference they aren't smart enough to solve the problem themselves. So even solicited advice that goes against their druthers may abrade them. They would rather go on beating their heads against the wall. They not only ignore your hint, they go on imagining that it wouldn't help or do them worse. No good deed goes unpunished sort of retribution is apt to follow. I know of more than a few who -- never making news -- will count his blessings and continue to help his fellow man despite bearing the insults he receives in place of the gratitude he deserves.

I think I may have written about the "the idiot plot" before*, but I will again in brief just in case some do not know what  is. [*Update: A reader had to remind me I did write about it. It's a blessing to have friends as one gets older!]

The idiot plot was prevalent in lower than grade B movies and TV shows of the 50s. It's a plot that relies on a device wherein all characters do not ask the simplest of questions that would end all the confusion. The long running sitcom I Love Lucy frequently used a funny version of this plot device, mocking in its way the plots used in many film dramas.

I've walked out on more than one movie in my days because the only plot was an idiot one.

But how do you walk out on life itself? When the Dems lie and the GOP refuses to call them on it because it's not a good thing for staid Republicans to "descend to that level." WTF? And so the idiots continue to enslave our posterity with the programs that will feed the operators of the system far more handsomely than any "needy" group they claim their programs target all at the expense of the middle class and real human progress.  And the idiot plot continues on all because the party that is supposed to stand for the principles of the middle class are outright sellouts and will never tell their adversaries what needs to be said. (Gee Pascal, how can you believe that partisan bickering is all a charade so that the parties can share power between them?)

And then the really rotten part of what is happening to American life ought to occur to you! It's something that those who are supposed to be our religious leaders (but claim they can't lest they lose their tax exemptions) seem never to point out.
When this real world idiot plot never ends you gain an inkling as to what Hell has in store for you. And you whom help keep tyranny growing deserve it too.

"Hate" In This Postmodern Time

Be very careful about ascribing hatred to those who disagree with your point of view, or faith, or view of what is evil. Frequently those who claim others are haters are themselves looking to excuse their own hatred of the alleged haters.

This is the nature of the message delivered by the MSM Agency of Lies. There is no end to the number of people who claim they know what is in the heart of others.* They are aiming to get common folk to hate each other. For the Agency of Lies to do otherwise runs the risk that all the rest of us would ally with each other to defeat the despots.

Love God with all your heart and all your mind and all your soul and all your might. And love your neighbor as yourself.

*My efforts to define the "new" morality keeps hitting this snag,  That is because I think it may appeal to the decent who adhere to God-based morality to use evidence to ascertain what is driving others to do evil. And I fear I might do more harm than good. How much evidence must be present to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that an individual is a hater of humanity? I do not yet know the answer to that question.

The battle against the "new" morality could very well be fought and won with words if the words that define it are well enough presented. I am neither fool nor vain enough to believe that a single word could make all who've been misled see the light. But it may well be possible to reduce the number who are deluded by striking upon the most enlightening phrases.

Better to try and fail than to never have tried at all.

DOJ to Whitewash Obama Fuel Price Targets with Scapegoats

White House fraudulence continues.
Obama says new task force will examine gas prices

RENO, Nev. – President Barack Obama announced Thursday that the Justice Department is assembling a team to "root out any cases of fraud or manipulation" in oil markets that might be contributing to $4 a gallon-plus gasoline prices.

Bummer is counting on the Agency of Lies to not remind his audience that he campaigned on raising gas prices, and that it has been his policy to raise gas prices using every agency in government from the EPA to Justice. The SOB is seeking scapegoats in order to take the heat off of him.

It will be up to the blogs to do the reminding, as I do not expect the talkshow hosts will hound him with a uniform voice on this. They might, and I surely love to be surprised, but it's really left up to the blogs and the individuals who read the blogs to remind their neighbors.

You are paying over $4 per gallon for gasoline because raising gas prices has been Obama's goal from the start, having even campaigned on doing that. He knows you don't like it. So now recognize that he's just declared that he will be using the Justice Department like it is the Gestapo in order to take the heat off of his own economy destroying policy.

"Be More Optimistic"

I heard this in response to my advice "enjoy it while you still have the chance."

He: Be more optimistic.

Me: But I am. I believe we will solve the problem. Don't misunderstand me. My fears are of the neo-pagan pessimists who in serving their god Sus would rain Hell on earth. People like yourself simply need to know now that those pessimists exist and how bad they are. You will need to know what it is you are fighting so you don't fight friends.

As for me, I still haven't nailed down in easy words what is the new morality. Those who still adhere to God-based morality need to know what it is in clear terms so as to be able to reduce the number of recruits available to the enemy.

Tide, Mudflats, and Quicksand

Le Mont-Saint-Michel, France

There are places where the tide pulls so far out one finds it hard to believe it will ever return. All that lays revealed may only be mud, yet that mud proves its allure every day.

Still the tide inevitably returns, often swiftly. It's so easy to be stranded out there. And that is even if one is not trapped in the insidiously numerous pockets of quicksand.

I have put together a slide show of  about 65 stills that were shot over about 12 hours.  Frames 25-30 were shot seconds apart to show the speed of the advance. Because wave action is miles away,  the advance is steady and relentless as it surrounds and cuts off higher mud.

It and a few explanatory notes (plus another man's art show I added late) are below the break.

Abetting Evil

Silence is agreement.

I know I cannot be the only man of average intelligence who noticed the key historical deletion in the history channel show yesterday. But I don't hear anyone else calling it out.

I found one more reference (other than the one in yesterday's post) to the historical event of the NAZIs walking out of the German Parliament in 1932-33 to prevent a quorum.  "Little Acorn" -- an anonymous commenter on a few sites to which I need to subscribe in order to converse with him. For what? To commiserate?

Look America. Your media will continue to get away with lies -- and continue to get worse and make it easier for tyranny to destroy this last standing republic --  unless more Americans start to call the media out for having become the single most untrustworthy institution in the country.

Your posterity is already going to have to pay big time for your somnolence. For being "nice" in the awful sense that Ann Barnhardt explains in her video from last year.

I must admit that this old memory of mine is not perfect. I do not know if it was an earlier History Channel showing of this show, or an entirely different one it showed earlier, or even if it was from another documentary or dramatic movie that I saw several years ago. What I do know is that what the Dems did in Wisconsin earlier this year, and what they did in Texas several years ago -- walk out in order to prevent business to be carried on as was their duty -- was a characteristic of the NAZIs as portrayed.

And THIS version of history that the History Channel aired yesterday deliberately left out that footage and the exposure of that tactic.

And even "conservative" talkshow hosts don't mention this. Who passed "Godwin's Law" and made it mandatory to exclude or ridicule any commenter who LEGITIMATELY calls out where any political party is behaving like the NAZIs did a little over 80 years ago in order to force event to allow themselves to gain total control?

To you theiving talkshow hosts who read sites like this and borrow some our insights without crediting us.
You talkshow hosts who invoke Godwin's Law I do not trust and neither should any other American. You are preventing complete comparisons. In many instances it may be truly inappropriate. But in this historical instance, it's fully functional you damn morons. Your Political Correctness Cowering is helping the Statists condition every American into silencing themselves. Are you Quislings too?

It would not take very long for this story to blow up in the faces of the Left, and their craven Statists masters, if more conservative Americans who despise the MSM (the Agency of Lies) were to check out the historical record and compare it to the stated goals of yesterday's show "how millions of people were so vulnerable to fascism."

Continuing to stay silent on altered or hidden or deleted events such as this is abetting evil.

You can continue to call yourselves conservatives if you wish. But the Father of Conservativism, Edmund Burke, had this to say to you

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
Are you conservatives, or are you really only cowards?

History Channel: Glaring Deletion

Years ago when the History Channel was new -- and better in my opinion -- they ran a show on the rise of the Nazi party and Hitler in Germany. When they got to the part where the Nazis had about 1/3 of the votes in parliament, they showed film of the party members rising as a group and walking out when issues they disliked but could not stop with votes came up.* The instability that arose due to the parliament then being unable to overcome the quorum rule led to President Hindenburg reluctantly appointing Hitler Chancellor. Hitler had them over a barrel as it were.

Well today the History Channel ran a show titled "Third Reich: The Rise -- A unique perspective on the rise of Nazi Germany and how millions of people were so vulnerable to fascism, told through rare and never-before-seen amateur films shot by the Germans who were there."

The TV listing say it's new, but I'm not so sure. Maybe "revamped" would be more accurate since much of this show was similar to the earlier one I recalled above.

When they got to the period just prior to Hitler being appointed Chancellor (about 25 minutes into the two hours airing time), all they stated was "On February 10, 1933, the Nazis were the largest party in Germany." It was an awkward statement, and quite surprising that was all they showed. After all, given the stated intent of this documentary, "how millions of people were so vulnerable to fascism," footage of that tactic was an essential one.

How could they in good conscience have deleted the part of the story demonstrating the means by which Hitler achieved his first big appointment?

Gee -- do you think -- that the deletion could have had anything to do with recent news events? Like when the Dems walked out of the Wisconsin Senate to prevent a quorum that was needed for a vote they did not like, my immediate reaction was to think of this scene.

I've labeled contemporary media "The Agency of Lies" in the past for good reason. Media continues to try and prove itself to be the most untrustworthy institution in the country.

Pass news of this deletion along my friends -- while you are still permitted to do so.

Too Many

The following is the gist of a short conversation with a pleasant young man of my acquaintance.

Me: "I really hate to inform you of this, but the odds are against my being permitted to live as long as my parents, and the odds are against you being permitted to live as long as me."

He: "Why is that?"

Me: "How many people are on Earth?"

He: "Too many."

Me: "That's the reason. Too many believe there are too many."

There was more to this conversation both before and after. But this portion reveals the insidious problem I've long fought.

Those retaining considerable allegiance to traditional morality and wish to fight to defend it will need to understand the "new" morality inculcated in the army of our foes. As my confidants know, I've been working on it for quite some time. My aim is to write it as clear and concise as I have done anything. I sense a well written statement of the "new" morality of our foes will significantly fulfill half of Sun Tzu's advise.
"Know your enemy" before going into battle.

On the Unreliability of Professional Talkers

I’ve been listening to Michael Savage since 1997. He, along with every other talkshow host, is feeding back to you and me our own common sense — kind of like the robber in the JS Mill quote* — and claiming it for his own.

The best thing is that they amplify our voices.
The bad thing is that talkradio associates the thoughts with the host, and that has been and will still be a deficit. The Agency of Lies and their Statist masters love to tar you and me with guilt by association.

I learned long ago, back in the early days of Rush, how to answer the parrots with their charges of “Ditto-head.” “No, you have it wrong. I don’t sound like Rush — he sounds a bit like me, but often comes to the wrong conclusions.”

Now we have the internet, and are not reliant on any leaders except when they have put together a good series of words as Savage often does. And Levin too. And each claims the other steals from him. The reality is that the underlying observations and conclusions are ours, and both those talkers ride point clearing the way for you and me. We simply have to understand that they help make our thinking more mainstream, and that’s a good thing.

But they often get it wrong, such as in their style and egomania and unwillingness to work well with others.

An Image to Tickle Your Psyche

Assume that many of Obama's acolytes believe he might be foreign born, but that is okay with them.

Well, they surely will denounce the copy of the alleged Kenyan birth certificate below as a fraud. And it might very well be a fraud.

But the next one may be legitimate.

So they worry. Oh how they worry. And they can't admit it, right?
Okay, now here's the image I've been chuckling over. It is one that I've verbalized in order to share it with you.

Wouldn't it be delightful to have hidden cameras on every beach Obama visits from now on just to take note of how diligently his entourage obliterates his footprints?

The above did not strike me as all that humorous at first. However, each time I thought about it, it was as if Obama had gone on yet another vacation. Somehow each subsequent vacation was becoming a bit more troubling for him than was his previous ones. I'm not sure what to call such a belabored spectacle, but there is something righteously laughable about it.

Obama Scores!

We could never get Bush to shut Leviathan down -- we had to push Zero to do it!
I hope this celebration is not premature. Spinelessness can still surface.
