Spine

This is what it looks like men.

Especially at the end of part 2 where Ann Barnhardt broadcasts her address and phone number.

This is the exact opposite of Polictically Cowed, and so I approve. But it is not leadership with a plan, it is “I don’t give a damn, come and get me,” much like the last stand at the Alamo.

In many ways she was baited into this display. Dhimmi SKUNCs like Lindsay Graham goaded her to show him how she thinks he should act. And his words suggest that she’ll be the subject of Fed sub-rosa intimidation (since they lack the law to sanction her with). So in that sense at least Ms. Barnhardt is riding point and showing the way. In the coming days this lady will need support, and leaders with a plan need to line up and move into the territory into which she has intruded with her video.

With Ms Barnhardt we are not seeing the unattractive, inarticulate Pastor Jones with whom most of us do wish not to be associated. As she says, when Christians are offended by the desecration of their symbols, they pray that the desecrators be rid of the demons that possessed them to do it, and most of all, they aren’t demagogued by their leaders to go on violent rampages as Mr. Karzai has done. Mr. Karzai is our alleged ally, but Lindsay Graham chooses to single out American citizens and threaten American rights. That is no leader, that is a SKUNC.

Ms Barnhardt has manned up and gone in on point. I pray for her and our new leaders who (from all appearance not currently at the top) will arise from the lower ranks when it comes time to defend her.

Joan of Argghh! adds:

If education be the foundation of leadership, she has certainly schooled our would-be leaders. I don’t think she aspires to leadership. She makes it clear she aspires to the defense and protection of those she loves.

But leading by example counts for quite a bit.
Absolutely Joan. It seems she draws much inspiration from our men who fought WW II -- many filled with a spiritual fire that was essential (but rarely credited) to our win. She is demonstrating how Americans once regularly got pissed off. We see less of it now because the Cultural Marxists have long been incrementally undermining us with their termite-like invasion of all of our important institutions. It is much harder to be courageous when even too many religious leaders -- as she suggests -- have turned Quisling for the other side and have actively aided in the dismantling of every traditional moral value in sight. And of course there's the revolting PC crowd. Here's my latest retort "I'm not PC? Politically COWED you mean. Where'd these "leaders" gain the right to think themselves shepherds to all you cattle? For that is how they're looking down on you -- liked steers with no ownership of your own life." (I can hardly wait to see the fear in the eyes of our "lord and masters" when they discover there are many more bulls than they believed was yet possible.

On a cautionary note, I reiterate that I can’t shake the feeling that she and we have been baited by Lindsay Graham and all of the Agency of Lies, and too many in talk radio.

She marked herself as a target not just by jihadis, which is ballsy enough. But at least they’d attack her out in the open even if they choose to sneak up on her. It’s the cowards in our PC loving rulers against whom it is harder for us to protect her.

They would come like Lilliputians because they lack direct law to back them, and they’re too cowardly to do much else. They’ll attack her for violations of little laws, the number of which could well be staggering. This is why we INSTINCTIVELY are for small government, because we know the imps can’t pile it on then.

Our new leaders need to know how to effectively counter those intimidations and Lilliputian snares. For example, how do they keep gangsta government from tying up her bank account due to fines they decide to hit her with? So many ramparts to protect, so few recognizing that how much we need someone trustworthy to lead on the planning out the defenses.

And never forget this fundamental fact about our foes. Statism is defined as the complete control of all aspects of living. It organizes its own opposition and works to discredit any who have good cause to oppose the overreaching state. In the days to come Miss Barnhardt will need defenders. Be prepared.

Making His Bones

To add to your distrust of Glenn Beck folder.

Did you hear Mr. Beck this morning? I swear, all the media is set up to confuse the masses, and Mr. Beck appears to be doing his bit to aid that confusion.

Of all the things he could have said about Pastor Terry Jones, his shtick was simply to mock Mr. Jones’ few words as given in an interview. He did this over and over again for the whole hour and on into the next like a running joke. The running joke should have been a series of riffs exposing the outlandish posture “oh you can’t offend Islam” playing in the halls of power and on the Agency of Lies (including FNC).

In the 2nd hour he was back to disclosing some news not playing elsewhere worth hearing, but by then he got a good portion of his audience tuning him out.

Worse, of course, is his attitude, like the one he displayed against Donald Trump last week. It serves only to discredit him, and that detracts to his message. Understand?

See, in his own way, Mr. Beck undermines our message exposing Statists exactly like Terry Jones undermines our outrage at Islamists who used Mr. Jones as the next excuse for their current week-long instigated mayhem akin to Orwell’s two-minutes hate.

With an alarming unattractive and poor spoken pastor like Mr. Jones, WHO doesn’t know they’ll be compared to him for getting angry at the dozens of people murdered? With Mr. Beck acting like an ass, who wants to be seen repeating the important news that he reports?

It is my conjecture from observation that Mr. Beck’s behavior could be no worse were he paying his “dues” for membership in the club of broadcasters (it fits this former rodeo clown who is used to taking his hits), or were he making his bones* for gangsters who have been cultivating dhimmitude worldwide. You know -- like DAMNED SKUNC Lindsay Graham did today.

Mr. Beck made Mr. Jones the object and not the overreacting imams and THEIR excesses, nor did he make a joke of the sniveling dhimmis that pass for leaders in the West. Did Mr. Beck play his part today? Did he do his bit to keep his bona fides with the powers that be? Was his stupid, repetitive, unfunny mockery of Mr. Jones his bit at running himself down? Is he the paid clown to discredit all the good info about many stinking stories simply to discredit that news when you wish to pass it on to friends and relatives? Remember -- Statism is defined as the complete control of all aspects of living. It organizes its own opposition and works to discredit any who have good cause to oppose the overreaching state.

Well, Mr. Beck is not the first on the Right we have learned to distrust like David Brooks or Peggy Noonan. His numbers are down — so maybe he’s desperate like those other two.

My personal opinion is that bloggers are far and away more trustworthy. Until they get paid or we find out they have been on some deep-pocket payroll — then watch out.

*If you think this metaphor is too extreme or too subtle, please click clarify below. If you don't know what "making his bones" implies in this context, try this.

Gangsta Government

The inspiration for this post comes from the murkier recesses of my memory. As I mulled the memory over, I did not recall whether or not it was my own hard-working immigrant grandfather or some oldster immigrants -- in a movie that may have featured Edward G. Robinson and Richard Conte -- who said something like this.

"This is why we came to America: to get away from gangsters like you. This is America! Get out. Get out!"

Now that I think about it again, it couldn't have been Pop. He saw what was going on in the early 50s and was quite clear that he thought that when (not if) the racketeers got fully organized in this country that they'd make those where he came from look like Sunday school kids. It took less than 20 years for me to see what he said was going to be true. (I'm still not sure my dad fully agreed -- I was ahead of him in seeing the decline of all protective American institutions. More likely as not this is another example of needing to skip a generation to find agreement.)

Here is where my memory of those words quoted above gets murkier still. I have a vague recollection that the immigrant oldsters (hah -- in the eyes of 5 year old me the characters may have been in their late 40s) were answered by a burst of sub machine-gun fire.

Must've been fiction. That would never happen here. /s

They who are seeking to take down America think because they've set things up for you to remain ignorant that you are also stupid.  Do what you can to see they are not rewarded for their rottenness..

Too Late? Part 2

Part 1 left me so despondent -- because nobody seems to care -- that I hardly commented anywhere last week, and did not write a new entry here for 7 days. That's a severe cutback on my output over the last 4 months or so.

This week I again point to two more who are catching up to the realization of which yours truly has been warning for a very long time.  They have a much larger audience than moi, so pray many more will also wake up. In the two related reports below you will see that at the least the people I'm highlighting are recognizing that the goals of, and legalistic policies thereby derived from, extreme environmentalists could not be any more misanthropic were that their intent.

Dennis Prager, in Thursday's second hour ("Corn is the New DDT"), commented on the report, as it appeared in the UK's Independent, about current chairman and former CEO of Nestlé, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe: "Biofuel policy is causing starvation, says Nestlé boss."

I recommend reading most of the link in order to understand the following plea by Mr. Brabeck-Letmathe. It is one with which I could not agree more.

"It is absolutely immoral to push hundreds of millions of people into hunger and into extreme poverty because of such a policy, so I think – I insist – no food for fuel."

Sadly, few understand that the Sus worshiping misanthropes responsible for the food-to-fuel diversion policy have a new morality, so Mr. Brabeck-Letmathe's words will surely fall on deaf ears. From what I can surmise, his calling them immoral is greeted with a knowing laugh similar to that of SKUNCs when they hear themselves called RINOs. "Of course we're moral, just not in the defunct Judeo-Christian way."

Mr. Prager's final comment comes very close to agreeing with me. The difference remains in that he seems unwilling to challenge them as to what they are up to.

"If the story is true, and I believe it is true, the policy is indeed immoral, leads to death and starvation. But for environmentalists, 'people are a bane on the planet anyway, and so what?' That may not be in their heart, but that is what their policies connote."
Please, Mr. Prager, use your microphone to press the question:
"Environmentalists and Liberals -- what is really in your heart?"

Why do I have the horrible feeling Mr. Prager will never press that question?

USA MSM Won't Defend Their Own

This is not even on foreign soil. This is in Florida. The US Government's Agency of Lies (aka MSM) won't even defend its own -- ultimately its own rights -- when it comes to this most dangerous administration ever.

The latest is the report seen on Drudge and most widely reported by the UK's Mail Online:

Vice President's staff lock journalist in a closet for hours during a fundraiser to stop him talking to guests

I did a web search and found not a single major American outlet covering this story. Do your own web search for "lock journalist in closet" without the quotes and see how long our Agency of Lies embargoes this story. When you read Drudge's account, you will find that even the badly treated reporter kept mum about his unlawful imprisonment in his first few reports -- as the single pool reporter filing on behalf of all media.

Imagine the firestorm by all "American" alphabet media had this happened at a GOP fundraiser for some dogcatcher position.

Too Late?

Why do I bother? Better known blogs and talk show hosts are beginning to speak as yours truly. But what of it?

Tonight, Wretchard writes in Downstream of Green,
Although “environmentalists” are often happy to see oil prices rise because it prices “carbon” out of the reach of consumers, its greatest effect on the Third World has been to raise food prices. The unrest in the Middle East are directly the result of unaffordable food.

But that’s OK. The Voluntary Human Extinction Project believes  “the biosphere of the planet Earth would be better off without humans. In VHEMT’s view, the human race is akin to an “exotic invader”, whose population is out of control and threatens other species with extinction, and only removal of the human race can restore the natural ecological order.”

And if there’s trouble in the Middle East, why just get America to bombing the living s**t out of the unrestful natives with B-2 bombers and the sophisticates can thereafter take the lead. Where extinction is concerned, why not just get the natives and the bitter clingers to kill each other. Extinction can wait a little, put off till the next glorious sunset.
Whether or not the Sustainability worshipers have wrenched control, they sure seem to have triggered helter skelter world wide.

Where are the optimistic adults? Are they too late?

I really like Wretchard, and supported him with cash early on. So I asked: "how come I could not get your discussion going on this several years before it came to this Wretchard? You’ve crossed its path many times, but I do not recall you calling out on their agenda the various architects like the VHEMT you cited today, and The Church of Euthanasia or the Georgia Guidestones, or the political leadership who never uttered a harsh word towards any of these."

And then there's another latecomer finally acknowledging the influence of Malthus and the Neo-Malthusians of the 1960s on public policy makers: William McGurn, Vice President of News Corporation (parent to Fox News Channel to the unknowing), writing in this month’s Imprimis newsletter (hat tip to the Dennis Prager Show).  But could you tell by his title? The Not So Dismal Science: Humanitarians v. Economists. [Beware -- The Hillsdale folks did not provide a permalink, so copy it if you want to keep it for reference.]

I guess he’s decided it’s now “timely” to relate to us the overly pessimistic influence of the Neo-Malthusians such as Ehrlich and McNamara.

Why is this so late, and written so obscurely? Are we to assume that the Establishment Right also harbors this death wish? Does the sun rise in the East?

Poorer people will be starved to death, or murdered for what little they have, as fuel prices soar, food is converted to fuel, and dollars get printed to keep pace.

Our “Intelligentsia” has a confrontational date with the Almighty, and I think they believe they’ll win. Theirs is the ultimate crime against humanity. DAMNED SKUNCs to my loyal readers.

Oh, for those who don’t know, as Mr. McGurn is now doing, I’ve long questioned the humanitarianism of the “humanitarians.” See up there, under my masthead?

If our "leaders" are so humanitarian, how is it that we never hear them direct a harsh word at the Malthusian, Utilitarian and Green nutcases?

Synopsis of Pascal Fervor, Updated

The full synopsis post is here. The following represents the portion that has changes in it.

————————————

What I mean by Pascal Fervor is suggested at the top of my sidebar. Blaise Pascal disliked those who destroyed things and especially people he thought good. These destroyers so aroused his ire that he dedicated his genius to defeating them. I, your humble commentator, call that sort of dedication "Pascal Fervor." I've tried to take clues from Pascal so as to move somewhat in the manner he did. However, lacking his genius and position of  influence, my efforts to overturn those forces that would destroy the American Dream may not be anywhere near so successful.  As a result, I sometimes call myself Pascal (the derivative.) That is, I have endeavored simply to move in the direction to which he was pointing.
The inclination of Blaise Pascal operating on a fixed moral plane.

This page was composed to inform you what this blog has concentrated upon most. If you'd like to help me in my battles, I provide a simple start at Irrationality Topples Kings.

What troubles me about our contemporary world is no secret. I've written about it repeatedly here and on my old website. Nearly every institutional policy and event that leaves us shaking our heads and thinking "I don't understand" may be explained by it to some extent. We tend to think of ourselves as so very advanced, but we humans are falling prey to the same sirens that have trapped us and killed us since antiquity.

The single most debilitating thought in our world is not often spoken, but I see it underlying everything today.
Sustainability is the arch concern of "very important" people who are acting on behalf of the fear that there are too many people on earth. It forms the foundation for what I call their new morality. Unceremoniously, incrementally, they have been superseding the Judeo-Christian morality that is core to the culture that created the United States.
It means that a minimum number of people aim to maximize human decline with a minimum of fuss. To reduce the fuss, old wounds and feuds and prejudices and covetousness have been rejuvenated. We will be permitted to reduce ourselves. This blog remarks on the numerous instances where the evidence for this shows itself.

That is the short explanation of what is going on. I bet it's not enough for most "advanced" people. So, should you think you may need it, I've more.

————————————
What I am trying to do is pass along to you in this blog are observations driven by intuitive inquiry and conclusions reached by means of analytical skills I use as an engineer. Reading them may help you protect your life. Any difficulties you have in understanding me may not only be because I can be too esoteric (obscure) or too concise (insufficient details), but also because writing is a skill that I'm still developing and not easily.  If you're unsure of anything, please don't be embarrassed for me or for yourself. Be inquisitive and ask me for more details. I will attempt to answer.

It is my hope that many of you can simplify what I am saying to reach many more people than I could ever hope to do. That is the only way I know to maximize my impact -- to rely on decent people to get my warnings out to those they care about and build blocs to block the machinations of those who would eliminate all unselected individuals.

Why Libya and Why Now?

Remember the hidden rotten deal behind the scenes about the release of the Lockerbie bomber?

I would like more people to be mulling this surmise:

The agenda here is Global Governance. Anyone who missed Cameron's speech in Parliament really missed something. He was talking about hauling Qadaffi before the International Criminal Court to be charged with "crimes against humanity."

Where? Inside Libya. Was that an INTERNATIONAL crime? Uh, no.

Hence, these creeps are using common antipathy for a creep like Qadaffi in order to establish a precedent giving the ICC jurisdiction within sovereign nations

I call that a bad idea. Qadaffi is playing the part for all it's worth. -- Carryokie at FR [emphasis in original]

Notice the global machinations here, the profound vacillations, the delays that guaranteed the loss of civilian lives (like sacrificial lambs). It all stinks to high heaven. Let the direction of that stench suggest where to find solutions.

Preponderance of Evidence

The preponderance of evidence is sufficient to prove culpability in a civil case.

Thus, a side note by Gabriel Malor today points to where we find proof positive that the Agency of Lies (MSM) is run by radical Leftist. Here's the explanation.

In the story Michigan Dem Party Officials Charged for Fake Tea Party Election Scheme, Gabe Malor
  • introduces where he's heading with "Most people think that messing with elections is a big deal."
  • posts an inset with the facts and names and positions of the accused former Dem Party officials.
  • summarizes: "The crimes include false swearing, perjury, and forging records. The investigation is ongoing and will likely extend to other Michigan counties."
  • then adds the side note mentioned above.
He writes:
Note: the press and some bloggers are carefully reporting that these men are former Democratic officials, .... [highlighted mine].
Mr. Malor then goes on to conclude:
...which I suppose is technically true now. They are former party operatives at this moment. But they were both official representatives of the Democratic Party at the time they set up their fake Tea Party scheme. They only quit their party posts after their crimes were discovered.
It's a little thing, but Democrats shouldn't be allowed to distance themselves from this even a little bit. Don't think for a minute that the Democrats didn't greet the creation of fake Tea Party candidates with indecent glee and hope that the frauds would sway elections. [emphasis in original]
The point of my post here was made in a comment at Ace of Spades HQ:
"Note: the press and some bloggers are carefully reporting that these men are former Democratic officials..." -- Gabriel Malor

Of course they were former Democrats.
There are no enemies on the Left is the Leftist slogan to remember here.
And this is proof positive that the Agency of Lies (MSM) is entirely run by radical Leftists. It is the duplicity of the AoL  which condemns them. It's for the same reason that the DAMNED SKUNCs are condemnable. At least the the Democratic Party, while bad enough for cheering this on, is openly partisan. Not so the American media. They continue to fly the false flag of "neutrality."

Our job as bloggers has been to expose this core lie of the Agency of Lies so that less and less of the general public believes their lie of neutrality. We are winning, and I applaud Mr. Malor making a note of the Agency of Lies partisan butt cleaning in this instance.

I Hope This Reform Was Due to Our Discussion

Likening this to "something out of a total dictatorship," Michael Savage criticized the Obama administration for orchestrating the Prez' acceptance of an "award for openness" immediately after holding four (4) meetings closed to the press.

Dr Savage explicitly, by name, gave JammieWearingFool the credit for the story Obama to Hold Four Meetings Closed to the Press Today, Then Will Accept Openness Award.

Last week I made an issue of, and got misunderstood for, talk radio hosts
  1. not giving credit for news and ideas to blogs and
  2. how it was especially hypocritical for Dr. Savage to not ascribe credit to others.

So I think it only right that I say tonight:
Thank you Dr. Savage for reforming your chronic oversights. By giving due credit to blog sources you strengthen the team. Keep it up.

Radicals In the Mainstream

This is how they got control.
[FYI: Blooper is mangling my embeds again if the following does not display, in part, "Why did a Democrat...." Please notify me should this happen.]

In case the video disappears (another link is here) entirely, here's the transcript.
Why did a Democrat congressman say [Rep. Mike Capuano clip:] "You gotta get out in the streets and get a little bloody when necessary"?

Why are Democrats shutting down state Capitols? To protect a system that pays unionized workers 42 percent more than non-union workers. A system that collects hundreds of millions in mandatory dues to back liberals who support government unions.

[Sen. Obama:] "They knocked doors for me. They made phone calls for me. They turned out the vote for me."

One union boss explains: [NEA General Counsel Bob Chanin:]
"It is not because we care about children. And it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power, and we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues—"
Tell Obama, you've had enough.
And the Agency of Lies (MSM) keeps their secret from you. Uncover that conspiracy of silence by uncovering the news not reported.

The Left Has Become Reactionary

Now that "Progressive" Incrementalist Cultural Marxists have crept into every institution, it is they who run the establishment.
Establishmentarians have antidisestablishmentarians in every institution and all walks of life.

This news Madison Police, Fire Fighters & Teachers Threaten Local Businesses with Boycots reveals that they are moving into full reactionary mode against any of us who wish to see our now dysfunctional institutions reformed. As RB says, "the letter is not yet authenticated," so be cautious. Still, given the videos of thuggish behavior appearing daily, and the ever more brazen behavior of the Left tallied at this blog over the years, it's likely to be authentic.

Beware and prepare.

Watch Yer Back TEA Party

As reported by Mark Levin: House Speaker John Boehner is referring to freshman congressmen as "Tea Party crazies." How's that for showing respect for Americans who feel Taxed Enough Already?

We've SKUNCs constantly displaying contempt for people who concur with Ronald Reagan's observation that "government is not the solution, government is the problem."

Nobody who knows me is surprised, that's for sure.

Brought up to date from 2003 to 2011: Are there any Constitution limits remaining?

***Update***
Now that Cultural Marxists have crept into every institution, they now run the establishment.
Establishmentarians have antidisentablishmentarians in every institution and all walks of life. They are moving into full reactionary mode against any of us who wish to see our now dysfunctional institutions reformed.
***

God save this once great nation from the Leftists, Statists and most of all, from the supremely dishonest DAMNED SKUNCs.

The CTL-ALT-DLT On Western Civ

I posed two questions to Ed Driscoll.
  1. What does the Left call the over 100 million murdered by their “Progressive” rulers during the 20th Century? Answer.
  2.  “Progressive” architects of Utopia make what provisions for practical jokers and misanthropes? Answer.

Thanks to Ed for filling in the details that help explain those answers. It is easier for the public to understand where the Left is going when informed where the Left has been. Or, as Ed puts it,
"we look at several attempts by the left to, as Tom Wolfe would say,  “Start from Zero,” and hit the CTL-ALT-DLT keys on western civilization."

Politically Cowardiced -- Updated

I've been informed that between 38 and 39 minutes of the first hour of the Michael Savage Show tonight, Dr. Savage said something like [Updated with the correct quote from source at 22min.]
"Well, you ought to report child abuse. Of course it wouldn't go anywhere in the politically cowered, politically coward-ed New York City school system."

There was no mention of the fact that yours truly originated the concept and has used politically cowered, politically cowed, and political cowering regularly ever since as replacements for political correctness and PC and politically correct.

This from the talk show host who regularly complains about others stealing his words and giving him no credit.

But then again I've railed about all of radio's allegedly conservative talkers for quite some time.

People, the reason that talk radio has been so successful is because conservatives were forced into feeling desperate that MSM never granted their views a fair chance.

This has been my long standing theory:

Rush Limbaugh and Roger Ailles were granted access to the Sacramento Bee's Letter to the Editor some time in the late 1980s.

They witnessed all the well written criticisms of modern liberalism that were thrown into the Bee's trash bin.

Roger Ailles recognized the broadcast vacuum that represented the absence of  these thoughts, and he saw a huge money making opportunity.

That was the beginning of the rise of Rush Limbaugh and Roger Ailles into broadcast history and multimillions of dollars.
How long have I had these thoughts? Since around 1992, which was shortly after I was told:
"Hey, you sound like Rush."
"What's a rush?" I responded.
People listen up:
Talk radio is not inventing conservative thoughts. It is the echo chamber of your thoughts. And in many ways, it is the place where your thoughts are discredited, by everything from Dr. Savage's hostile rages and huge ego to Rush often behaving like he's joined at the hip to establishment Republicans.

Take your thoughts back and claim them as your own. So the next time when some one says you sound like Rush, or Sean or Glenn or Savage or Levin or whoever, correct them and say:
"Hell, no. He sounds a little like me all the while missing many of the things that are important to me."
The question may come back "Like what?" And there's your opportunity.
Be prepared for it.
Blog and get better at saying what you really think.

Parasitic (Over)Loads

I added some commentary in a late edit to The Pigs of Animal Farm Look Modest in Comparison that I wish to bring out for clearer examination.

Well, it all comes down to the limits of economic engines.  Just like any engine, it will not being able to take-on ever increasing parasitic loads up into infinity.
It is obvious to the dimmest of wits that one cannot kill the goose that lays the golden egg in the expectation of riches hidden somewhere inside. Thus I think it is foolish to believe that the union leaders really expect they can make such demands work for any time at all.

The Left never liked the economic engine that made the West, and particularly America, as great as she is.  So now that they've brought us to the brink of bankruptcy, the unspoken slogan of their tactic seems to be "Let's finish the old girl off!"

The nihilists seem to be in firm control of the Left, and they are engaging in the sort of agit-prop that favors the goals of the Statists who so hunger for global control. Kill the engine that makes liberty possible, and the distance from here to The Abolition of Man will be but a very short step. The process which, if not checked, will abolish Man goes on apace among Communists and Democrats no less than among Fascists.

It's Nice to Have Company

I've came to admire Redbaiter's sustained reporting and commentary at TrueblueNZ even while he was only a coblogger of KG's at Crusader Rabbit.

The reason is that he clearly has the stamina to post heavily under conditions that I think I might feel like giving up.

With the exception that he seems unwilling to challenge the labels long established by the Left to favor themselves and to irritate opponents, most all of his conclusions seem to agree with my own. And he addresses the miscreants in much the same way as I do. Anybody who has gone as many years as I have with few people agreeing so thoroughly would understand my sense of relief.

This assessment, like any other of its kind, is subject to change. RB, being human, is subject to demands of this world that may yet destroy what I currently admire.

Do you understand one of the key reasons that the West succeeded like no other culture before it? It's because we should trust not in men, but in the Judeo-Christian notion of the Creator God. And that applies to the agnostic and legitimate atheist as well. You don't need to be a believer or have faith in His existence. All anyone needs to do is understand the concept, and then understand that no man or group of men can ever supersede Him or the natural rights He bestows on all humanity.

Only coming to grips with this concept, and institutionalizing it in the manner that America came closest to accomplishing at some point in its history, can groups of men understand the role of the group of men known as republican government.

It is to sustain the legitimate rights of individuals, and that the promoting of other demands and investing in them the equivalent of rights is the mark of the tyrant. God is no tyrant. He simply represents what is right and unbreakable.

So, no matter how much you may admire any person in the course of your life, it's nice to have His company most of all.

The Pigs of Animal Farm Look Modest in Comparison

At this moment, the Wisconsin State House is occupied by protesting state workers and their entourage.
"The breach of discipline by the State Police is most serious. They are no longer a lawful police authority. They are now a partisan force with guns. That makes this an Insurrection." -- LOTM

I will remind you that this was all started because Gov. Scott Walker was going to up each govt worker's contribution to retirement from 2% to half that of workers in the private sector (12% and 25% respectively).

That was actually a compromise. And the govt-employees' WH inspired response proved nothing would have been good enough for them. With the police joning with  the protesters, and thereby widening the protest into an insurrection, is as if they are saying: "With the WH moving favorably for unions, where does any governor get off thinking he can thwart the demands of  'public servants' and their unions?"

This despite Wisconsin being financially pressed to go further into unconscionable debt as are governments everywhere in this downturn. This all despite the tax payers voting "STOP!" in November. The "Democratic" Party now can no longer stand democratic results, and are turning violent. This is something staunch conservatives have been trying to imbed in the heads of GOP leaders for years. You cannot compromise with those whose threaten violence; it will only serve to embolden them, and strengthen them so that the inevitable showdown will be much worse.

The voters saw this problem in November, but the Left acts like they did not get the message? This is simply not rational.

What is rational is to conclude that the nihilists have taken control of the Left and the unions and the Democratic Party. Of course the Obama admin and the Agency of Lies (MSM) keeps abetting such notions, so we must continue to try to convey to the MSM poisoned world how dangerous all these entities are to America. The Left never liked the economic engine that made the West, and particularly America, as great as she is.  So now that they've brought us to the brink of bankruptcy, the unspoken slogan of their tactic seems to "Let's finish the old girl off!"

Yes. Never ever forget the long time slogan of the nihilists, because your future depends on recognizing them by their deeds.  "Bring her down, baby." and "BURN BABY BURN!"

Addressing Misanthropes More Often

In Soviets Running Australia Form “Workplace Gender Equality Agency,” RB writes:

I often assert the NZ and Australia are communist countries, and people ridicule me for such claims, but here we have an example of how the average citizens in those countries commonly hold the concept of private property in utter contempt. Here we not only observe the spectacle of a jack booted soviet style apparatchik brazenly intruding upon the rights of shareholders to have their companies managed on merit, we also see these same arrogant collectivist scum forcing Australian taxpayers to pay more for contracted services by shortlisting companies who succumb to this dictatorial approach on government tender lists.

A disgusting abuse of government, and as a measure of how the left have destroyed our society, there will probably be at least 40% who agree with this abomination.

I can relate to RB's observation and treatment, and agree with his conclusion. However, I remain convinced he'd have more of an impact, with all that he reports and comments on, were he to start making the Left and the Statists and the SKUNCs more uncomfortable by noting the misanthropy in the consequences of their policies.

I, of course, regularly address them as misanthropes:
The only label that matters to me in stories like this is misanthropes. And the only aim they seek is our willing self-destruction (and destroying the hard-built meritocracy by inserting bodies based on meretricious criteria) while we victims battle with each other over the meanings of the other labels the misanthropes use to cover their goals.

Get past it RB, and they’ll do more than ridicule you.

Reason to Be Encouraged

In a short note to Philmon at The Clue Batting Cage I saw cause to celebrate however mildly.
The quote ["silence = consent"] got to me due to a team effort of Morgan, you and Joan. But it was you who first reported it, so it was to you I sent the comment. It might have remained an obscure observation that would not have clued me to connect it to Mr. Burke's maxim ["All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."]

You three have demonstrated how blogs, working like a telegraph line, can overcome the Agency of Lies (aka MSM). We may not be as fast -- we may be the unpaid tortoise to their overpaid hare -- but the truth will out when we refuse to remain silent. Edmund Burke would surely approve.
The whole interchange you might find enlightening and, I pray, as encouraging for you and your friends as it was for me.

Sorry

I'm stuck mostly using a laptop with a malfunctioning keyboard for the last week and on into the next. I'll try to do more than comment on other blogs. Drop me a line and tell me you miss me. (Aren't those the words to a song?)

Second Thoughts

I've had some second thoughts on the video I called your attention to in Violent Leftist Reactionaries. I decided I should pass along to you my sense that some duplicity was either intended or could easily slip into the teaching method being touted there.

The reasons stems from the casual nature of the audience's approval. I shuddered at one of their chuckles — when Dr Mitra told of Arthur C. Clarke’s “a teacher that can be replaced by a machine should be.” Clarke placed no stress on the character of whom was deciding who was to be replaced.

A machine cannot teach ethics beyond the mere listing of what ought be ethical. And that gets reshaped by those who program distant machines.

Watch out for the next generation of the Khmer Rouge or Green Bombers. Children self-taught is the warning of “Lord of the Flies.” Even worse if you then consider “what if the Granny provided is a Frances Fox-Piven?”

From many responses to this video that I've witnessed, it may already be too late to counter that programming.

Insidious Propaganda

The following public service announcement was provided by the Ad Council on behalf of the Smokey Bear program.

"Homework," shortened version. [Someone PLEASE find the long version and send it here. Record it if you hear it. It may be a weekend PSA]

This is the MILD version. In non-bizarre times, it was understood to be not wise to promote the idea that kids barely old enough to walk streets without supervision are prescient sages. It was a laughable notion that childre would to provide moral guidance to doltish fathers. Maybe in Marxist reeducation camps, but not in America.

But disgustingly, that notion is central to and being promoted even by this mild version of the PSA. Of course is in keeping with the pattern used in some network sitcoms, such as Home Improvement. It's a notion that we have allowed to go on for far too long without widespread backlash. I pray this post sets a pattern others will chose to follow.

Maybe this mild version of the PSA is bad enough to drive home my point of how callous, intrusive and outlandish are those who pretend to be our nation's protectors. Only to help make the point, I'd love to find the more objectionable PSA that prompted this post. I think the Ad Council is hiding it. My complaint has so much merit they've been forced to hide it. If they are hiding, it surely is to our side's benefit to find it and hold it up for the full exposure and deconstruction.

Here is what you will find in the longer version.
Where the father makes the weak plea "I knew that" in this version, in the excessive version, the kids laugh at him and say "yeah, sure!"  That was followed by the Dad pleading "Mom doesn't need to know about this, does she?" and the kids braying back, "Oh yeah, Big time." WTF is this ratship the Ad Council is constructing?

Whereas I heard it yesterday on the radio, it's my guess that it still is being broadcast where young and impressionable children can be poisoned against their parents by it. Make no mistake about it, but this is on the road to conditioning kids. It subtly manipulates the natural (and often parentally frowned upon) tattling on siblings, and extends it here to promoting (by example) the ratting out parents to one another. The next logical step and the Ads would promote kids to turning in friends and neighbors to the secret police.

This is the specter of Stalin and 1984. Propagandize the children to rat out their parents to the authorities. I think Hitler did this too, erected statues in town squares honoring youthful rats. The worst thing for children is for the state to take their parents away from them and then later knowing, when they realize how they'd been used by the police state, what a terrible wrong they had done.

Fight back America -- the climate that these Marxist/Statists are rigging is not the America our patriots fought to preserve for us.

Cutting the Chains: Time for a “Voidance Movement”

As American voters come to their senses and realize how much they themselves are conservatives, politics for Leftists and Statists are not going so well. The Left is whining all the time now. For instance, as JWF reports: AP Laments: 'GOP governors undermine Obama's agenda in states'.

You know you are having an impact on Leftists when they scream. And in Wisconsin in particular, boy, are they screaming. Do you realize that all that noise and vilification is over Wisconsin Governor Walker's less than full reversal of State worker retirement plans?

In short, they're calling Gov. Walker every rotten name under the sun from Mubarek to Hitler, for doing what? For moving a bill that will bring State worker contracts only a fraction closer to that of the average Wisconsin tax payer employed in the private sector?

I think this serves to prove that Governor Walker did not go far enough! Had his baseline proposal STARTED at parity, what more nastiness could the government employee's unions and the Chief community activist have engaged in?

He should have simply said: "All prior contracts are null and void. The current government should not be held hostage by prior contracts given out to the earlier government's cronies."

Why hasn't the GOP taken that position sooner?

Why should the future be held hostage to the crooks of the past?

Speak to me people. What do you say to a National Voidance Moverment? (For my friends down-under, make that International). That is one where the next generation of candidates for office pledge to review, and void where necessary, all public employee contracts at the opening of the next legislative year.

The spoils systems was supposed to have been ended by the creation of the civil service. But now, with all these public employee unions, the purpose of the civil service has been defeated. What we need to do now is void all prior contracts cronyism instituted under what has become a Democratic Party-Govt Employee Unions spoils system.

Beat.The.Drum.
Voidance. Voidance. Voidance.

Update: Author: Blast From the Past, in response to my comment at BelmontClub, has had trouble similar to what I have had getting published at PJM sites. For reasons known only to PJM, his comments wound up in my email but not at BC. Here is his comment:
PF,

Busy is good. Glad to hear it.

Good point in your article. Kicking a problem up to Central only infects Central with the problem. A similar thing happened with the XVIIth Amendment. Both the Civil Service and the XVIIth were designed to prevent petty local corruption that channeled money from appointments, especially at Customs posts or from infrastructure improvements, to urban political bosses. In effect both moved the problem into DC and eliminated the hope that competition between States or between a State and DC would provide checks and balances that cut down on graft.

KOC: Moral Relativism Explained

Andrew Klavan posted the following video under the title Multiculturalism Explained.

From an artistic standpoint this is a clever video, as is Mr. Klavan's chosen title.

But because I was more impressed with his post-script, I chose "Moral Relativism Explained." Here are Mr Klavan's words.

"Multiculturalism is based on the "equally sound" [sarcasm] philosophy of moral relativism which holds that nothing is absolutely right or wrong. Except that nothing is absolutely right or wrong.

As Shakespeare put it "there is nothing absolutely good or bad, but thinking makes it so."

Actually, Shakespeare gave those words to Hamlet, who was pretending to be insane when he said them. Which is to imply that moral relativism isn't just crazy, it's fake crazy -- because nobody is really crazy enough to believe it.

So perhaps now we have begun to understand."
Yes. Thinking of what is right or wrong is the process that separates man from beast. And they who would rule over us are controlling the Agency of Lies (MSM) and the indoctrination centers (skools) and even religious institutions (tax codes and cultural Marxist moles), have been inculcating us not to think of good and evil at all.

Youth of the world: murdering your fellow man is wrong. Arranging his starvation is akin to murder. If you value your own life, or think you will some time in the future, then follow this simplest form of the golden rule: "Do nothing that is hateful." And I am not talking about hurting their feelings, because sometimes that can save their lives, but about not being hateful towards their very existence.

Here's a simple rule to know what is hateful. Ask yourself:

"Would  my being murdered be hateful to me?"
In most instances -- and that is good enough for me -- your answer will be "Hell yes!"

That's a very good way of putting what is right and what is wrong in perspective.

Tell the next moral relativist to pound sand. Don't let his pretending to be crazy drive you there.

Youth of The World: Learn the Truth

We in America have lost control of our government. Our government is supposed to be our servants, not the other way round. We will struggle in the coming conflict to reverse what has happened. Some who claim to be on our side are really working for the authoritarians, the globalists who have and are bringing famine to your countries. They have done this in the name of fighting Catastrophic Anthropomorphic Global Warming, or human-caused climate change. Of all the lies being fed to you, that perhaps is the worst. They want you to die, and without children of your own. In some cases it's simply because they dislike other humans; but they have promoted into power those who really do  fear you. Those fools fear you in large numbers. They view you as a parasite who'll simply deplete the planet of all it's resources and pollute her as well. The tyrants who seek to rule this globe need to remove your parents, and then you. They would treat you like herd animals, to be exploited, and then eliminated when no longer of use. Look around you. As the radical Greens would have it, approximately 12 out of 13 are targeted for elimination. This author would end such scheming tomorrow, but it often seems few stand with me. The poisonous thought and the consequences that derive from it are currently in full swing. There are better men with more decent thoughts still around, but you must plead your case so as to awaken them. If you do, you will increase your chances to live.

Most of us Americans are not descended from the original settlers under European and mostly British colonial rule. Our predecessors were people like yourselves, lured here mostly for the promise of getting out from under the thumb of tyrants such as have, now are, and will again rule your countries.

We Americans who still honor the principles under which our nation was founded hope to resurrect some of our mostly non-authoritarian form of government. Only God knows how it will turn out.

Watch this space in coming days. I hope others -- much better writers than I -- will follow my lead. But if nothing else, I hope I can direct you to interesting sites that will reveal to you truths you are not allowed to see where you are. Even truths that Americans rarely see because our popular media like TV and radio do not reveal the truth, and those who try are restricted at the risk of losing their licenses to broadcast. So far I am still free.

I pray I can be of service.

Violent Leftist Reactionaries

With educrats being challenged by real progress like this
[The video below may not appear in some feeds, so you may need to go to the link. Also, if the video is not "TED", please let me know.]

who can not understand why "educator" unions have joined with the progressives regressive, despotic, anti-American movement such as we are witnessing in Wisconsin?

Then you may also understand why union leadership and the Chief community organizer are beating the drums and hoping these staged confrontations will turn some participants into full-blown violent reactionaries.

This video demonstrates that bloggers filled with common sense on a vast array of subjects can and do reach youths all over the world. Youth are yearning to get information into their heads -- and we can use the world wide web to get it to them, past the demoralizing indoctrinators of the subjugating skools.

This is why I say to make our headlines EXPLICIT. Use real, not sarcastic, not Newspeak/doublething key words. Web crawlers around the globe will find your legitimate headline and aid in passing along your common sense, and maybe more importantly to Christians -- your common decency.

In short:
I am suggesting that this presentation helps explain why the Statists have so rapidly unmasked in the last decade, and are now fostering violence. They are in a race against time and the truth emerging. When kids can learn this well this easily, it will be harder to convert them into Green Bombers and jihadis.

Hat tip to The Smallest Minority for cluing me to this video.

Major Win for Cultural Marxists

Or, as Fox news is promoting it, "Major Win for Gay Rights," in referring to the Prez instructing AG Holder not to defend the Defense of Marriage Act.

In other news, Sean Hannity said on his show today "I don't believe any other president in history ever said he would not defend a law on the books."
  • If I recall correctly, in 1973 or 74, President Nixon said he was "confiscating the funds" for several federal programs that had just become law.
  • He said he felt the Congress had gone too far in getting the Fed government involved in American lives.
  • That was despite his having signed the laws in question.
  • He could have executed his veto, but did not. IOW, Congress did not need to override a veto he never made.

I do not recall enough of the incident because Watergate became news again very soon thereafter. Perhaps someone else will remind us more of the details.

Progressed to Contempt Acknowledged

"Oh Pascal, you're over-wrought."
That was the overwhelming reaction to my Progress-Of series of posts.

Yet, today, in reporting on the Indiana Democrats fleeing their state to avoid voting on legislation they don't like (following the Wisconsin Dem slime trail), Drew M concludes:
They call themselves "Democrats" but refusing to debate and vote is fundamentally un-democratic. In November, voters made it clear business as usual was over and that the public fisc would no longer be the piggy bank for the Democrats coalition and this is how they respond...with contempt. [emphasis mine]
My last entry in the Progress-Of series, 18 Nov 2009, was
Altruistic ==► Casuistic ==► Craven ==► Shameless ==►
Brazen ==► Sneer at US ==► Contempt for US ==► [TBD]
So there you go. Ace of Spades HQ has finally acknowledged what I've been trying to convey to a wider audience. Better late than never.

This contempt for America by the Statists and their Left shock troops will only get uglier as the days wear on. Be the leader and warn all you care about.

A PC Tactic

This is far from the first instance I've read the assertion "They obviously have no idea how insane they appear."

I warn you all not to buy into that thinking. It is by far not obvious unless the Left were comprised of nothing but naifs. At this point, the preponderance of evidence that malice is present is so great, that were they to tell me that the sun rose in the East this morning, I'd immediately try uncover why they felt the need to mention it.

Here is how I responded to JWF's conclusion:

Where's the evidence they have no idea how they look? That they appear insane is often a tactic of bullies. If they can convince you that they are not rational, they can make large numbers of potential adversaries just give up. Is it possible you never analyzed how PC works? It's the essence of getting the majority to clam up.

You are wrong because your statement "They obviously" ignores this common tactic.

Blogger keeps messing up my video embeds

The video (of the Ferrari-Shell commercial) posted in the previous post was replaced by Blogger automatically with something else. This is not the first time it has happened.

It fixes only if I hit the edit button and simply republish as is. This is very odd. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't even know it happened -- and that is troubling.

Does anybody know the cause? The long-term fix?

Thanks.

Win-Win for the Sus Worshippers

Nearsighted is farsighted. This will make sense, I promise.

A good example. Figurative nearsightedness of technical managers was never more literally inflicted than in the construction of the Hubble Space Telescope.

The short version: Normal checks and rechecks of the focal point of the primary lens were forsworn, while polishing of the lens surface to perfection was dictated as essential. As things turned out, this did lens itself to creation of a spectacular new billion dollar project: the mission to provide corrective lenses for the Hubble. From the standpoint of those who acquired those extra taxpayer dollars in order to save the dollars already expended on Hubble, the nearsightedness inflicted on Hubble was very farsighted indeed. It could not have worked out better had that been their original intention.

Sorry NASA. That's the skeptic in me joking about the outcome with Hubble. There's is no evidence the shortsightedness was deliberate. That any surviving program managers may have been happy, albeit with clandestine joy, to have such a serendipitous justification for a follow-up program, does not negate the fact that the blurred vision of the managers was the most likely cause for the carelessness. Some higher up succumbed to the arrogant assertion that double-checking the most important technical matter was an unneeded expense. After all, who could believe that the primary optics for a JPL managed space telescope -- NASA'a most publicity centered project since Apollo 11 -- could ever be screwed up? Hubris in La Cañada? Never! Heh.

I wish I could say the same -- about there being no deliberate nearsightedness -- about those pressing the Sustainable agenda. If only life was always like that, and that Hanlon's razor always applied.

Hanlon -- meet Heinlein! We live in a world where we have many influential people who believe that "no problem is insolvable with fewer people."  The power and influence of Sus worshipers to foment programs that incrementally decimate humanity should trouble anyone who has some faith that God will provide.

Your man on the ramparts received an email from a (formerly) great engineering school. As you will see, you may infer that the department of chemical engineering wished to impress its alumni. And impressed I was. Impressive was how proud they were of their perspicacity for snatching a share of green funds.

Your alumni advisory board and the department are proud that it is again ranked among the top 10 in the country.  We aspire to sustain this recognized level of excellence. To prepare our students for the many, multi-faceted roles that chemical engineers play today and will play in the future, the department, with the full support of the alumni board, plan to undertake three new initiatives with targeted investment in the following programmatic areas:
  1. Sustainable Energy and the Environment
  2. Biotechnology and Life Sciences
  3. Complex Fluids and Nanotechnology
There must be some devil who is laughing over this. He laughs at how agenda item 1 leads smoothly to "wonderful" influences on item 2.  So that you may understand this devil's Newspeak/doublethink, let's review the Orwellian slogans: War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Now Malthusian Sus worshipers and misanthropes may add "life is death."

So now, let us see how "nearsighted is farsighted."

Back in Washington DC, and maybe in every nation in the world, the Statists are determined to reduce the overwhelming entitlement debt they face. So what did they do once they cornered the government?

They increased the debt by taking on the debts that accrue from a national heath plan all while promising good health for all? How much more nearsighted could that be?

    Wait. Wait.

Those entitlements were building up long before healthcare was nationalized, and even long before DC decided it was a good idea to overwhelm the financial system with home ownership and easy credit for everyone no matter their ability to repay. That lent to them the meme "too big to fail" and the concomitant TARP and then Stimuli without accountability. Oh how nearsighted! And don't forget the Medicare Ponzi scheme and the Social Security Ponzi scheme -- surely they were nearsighted too? -- only much earlier.

    Wait. Wait.

Of course the Statists could reduce that debt were there some catastrophes, one that cascaded into a massive dive in the numbers of those entitled. Hmm. Nah -- that's too far outside normal expectations for a natural castastrophe.

    So let's see.

Now that they had nearsightedly limited the number of outlets providing: employment, food, shelter, healthcare, what other recourse do they have? All that's left to do is for the command and control center to begin cutting off those services: a little here, and a little there, and a little everywhere.

Hey: Sustainability philosophy + "Life" sciences = Win-Win. Where will they find such farsighted noblemen?

    Clever devil.

    Take Charge TEA Party

Will the House of Representatives fight?

So far the news is that there will be no overall challenge of ObamaCare funding for the continuing resolution to fund the government.
The 111th Congress included language to forces the 112th Congress to pay for the law that defeated the 111th.

And the GOP led 112TH Congress won't fight even in their own Rules Committee? The 111th Rules Committee created this atrocity, so the 112th's has the right to retaliate within the same body. Gutless wonders, eh? Quell surprise!

How about taking it to the Supreme Court?  Robert Byrd did that with Ronald Reagan's Line-Item Veto and got that overturned. The premise by which SCOTUS overturned it was division of powers.

What greater division of power can there be but that the voted out Congress can hold no strong arm over the current Congress? We have the precedent. Dig up and drag Byrd's carcass to the SCOTUS if need be.

    Fight. FIGHT. F I G H T!

Do Not Be Too Hard On Yourself

Do not be too hard on yourself or on the rest of us. God knows there's some really rotten scoundrels who are willing to do that for you and us, and have arranged our education so that we have been inculcated — conditioned — to be accepting of their injustices to us.

This eerie warning came to my mind when gallant KG introduced Queensland floods…the OTHER story
one man's recounting of flood ravaged Queensland, Australia. In it, Gary Briggs of Dalby writes of the numerous [malicious?] institutional hardships piled onto the natural hardships visited upon both those needing help and all good Samaritans seeking to help them. KG, having read of the inanities suffered rather than revolting or even just risking a fine by telling the officious retards to stuff it, arrived at a sad conclusion that I could agree with in part. If I am a bit more optimistic, I pray you'll allow me that failing.

KG: “Below the fold is an email I was given. Read it and weep for what was once a tough, resilient people. Until we got off our apathetic, cowardly, lazy arses and begin confronting these bastards the madness will continue. And get steadily worse. Egyptians can brave bullets, water cannon and torture, and we can’t even risk a day in court and a fine? In that case, we deserve all we get.”
Well, here's where Pascal reveals weaknesses and regrets that, I pray, might help readers find solutions he failed to achieve.

Hold on KG. I understand your frustration KG, believe me. I bet you and I could match stories.
The lowlifes are given PULL by those who are gaming the system at the top. We have been left PUSHING. Guess what works best?

The 60s radicals used to speak about “getting it over the Man.” Who of our teachers ever explained that Marxism/Leninism was always targeting “the bourgeoisie,” and that means “the middle class?” We’ve been conditioned to not know we were targets, and at the same time “to suck it up like a man.”

If you have ever read the accounts by former Left brigader, David Horowitz, you know that in the 50s the Left had summer camps where they trained their “red diaper babies” how to assault Western institutions. Who on the Right offered classes in countermeasures? Nobody. We were subjected to the Left indoctrination centers even if a few of us resisted it. So now we are woefully two or three generations behind and far removed from generations that were NOT so indoctrinated! I sometimes feel like an undereducated, definitely unprepared remnant.

Individuals do not stand a chance without building their own blocs. The Left is filled with cowards who hide behind laws the Right is inclined to respect from the start — except for the unequal treatment that the gamers have CONDITIONED us to accept.

Nemesis may have trained his own kids to think clearly, as I have my grown brood, but it is not enough. I learned the hard way what it means to have failed to build blocs and train them to withstand — for the sake of our posterity and not just for ourselves — the forces who hate liberty. Maybe it is because I did not want to believe that such forces still existed — I don’t remember now. I do remember that I simply thought that right thinking people would rally behind me. I failed to foresee that there were schemers in the neighborhoods and city, and that they had loads of ways to undermine weak blocs.

I know what you might be thinking, because I think it myself all the time. I vacillate between “It’s too late” and “is it really too late?” I will simply relate to you something a wise man once said “Where there’s life, there’s hope.”

I wasn’t kidding when I suggested that men like Nemesis should be sought out to train the local kids how to put down the con-men. If they fail to seek out such teachers — and protect those teachers — THEN we will all deserve what we get.

    You Knew Weasels Could Brew

You knew weasels could brew a tempest in a teapot. Take one word, infuse some heat into it, and stand back while the fools get all bent out of shape.

Well such major blow-ups of small distractions are the kind of side-show made to order to benefit the Alinskyites in our State Department and Obamitall regime. Long ago I told you that Sarah Palin was being Emmanual Goldsteined. There is nothing said about her that can't be manipulated. Even the daily two-minutes hate needs some variety from time to time. (Not that long ago it was Santorum who was the object of that hate. Do you recall someone observing that irony was dead do you not?)

I repeat: Stand back. Try not to get involved except maybe to point a mocking finger at those drawn in.

You Set the Standard When You Accept What is Rotten

I have known many people who are generally good people. However, even known monsters were seldom monsters all the time. Hitler liked dogs. Stalin liked potatoes.

I posted two factual observations which run contrary to God's word this week, and the better angels have nothing to add.

Of the many good people I've conversed with over the years, many who would not harm a fly have also agreed with the Malthusian observation at least to some extent. "Six and half billion people really is too much." The propaganda is winning and God's influence is all but lost there.

So, when I posted about the debasement of organized religion, I figure it's one of those other sacred cows that cannot be mentioned. It really may condemn those who are afraid to discuss it. Being afraid to discuss either of these issues means you are accepting the lowered standards being foisted upon your world. This is why political correctness is really political cowering, and why I say PC is merely censorship in disguise. Silence in the face of terribly devolving standards demonstrates how effective this new form of censorship has become indeed.

When you find you can't get a doctor because you've been deemed non-utilitarian, who will you cry to? God will have turned a deaf ear because you turned a deaf ear to the debasement of his church as you watched the shepherding be taken over by atheists and did not challenge it.

There are far too many willing to let the world go to the dogs because they believe that will hasten the final conflict. If you are among these, I plead with you to alter that view -- because it almost surely would guarantee your damnation. On the other hand, if you see the rottenness and cannot stomach it, and it pains you to see those you love being misled, then you must become a leader in favor of reform. Even on a small scale, you can set a new standard, can make a personal statement from your own reformed behavior.  Simply by demanding a higher standard for yourself you raise societal standards by at least that much. Even the faint-hearted have become leaders by doing at least that.

I've one friend who constantly begs off of this request. Because he's bright and clever and knowledgeable, his fate is what was once commonly known as a crying shame. Don't you be that way.

    Religious Institutional Debasement

Of all Western institutions to have suffered debasement, I'm inclined to see that the most damaging to our social fabric has come about due to the loss of standing of our religious institutions. What debased first, the congregants or the institutions of which they once were members?

I'm on record as an agnostic. But I've only explained what I mean by that to a few who saw good reason to question my declaration. Essentially, the problem with the worship of the God whose core message made Western culture dominant, were the chief transgressors of its ethics. Critics -- likely agents of the next transgressors  -- love pointing to the old transgressors as proof that the ethic was  imperfect and therefore not a sure moral guide. That has been the moral relativists' plaything for a very long time. The schemers, knowing the dilemma is real, mock the faithful with  "Isn't your God perfect?" Who has effectively answered that recently?

    Hence the debasement.

I'd like to hear some speculations as to why this is so.
