We CAN Beat the Left When We Have Honest Leadership

There was a time when the forces of the Right could win. But it was only temporary wins and it appears the Left knew it. It was because they had a purpose as shown them by leaders who were in on the planning. If there were any on the Right who were planning the opposite, it seems clear that with so many "Progressive" (Incrementalist) Republicans at or near the helm of power, our side was too infiltrated with with agents from the other side. For ages it seems they succeeded in preventing principled conservative thinking from being in power (Reagan being the exception that defeated them) or stay there for long ("Progressive" GHWB claimed to have seen the light to gain our trust, and then dashed them later).

Controlling Education has been a dream of the Incrementalists since the days of John Dewey. Kevin Baker generated some fine commentary over a couple of books dealing with Incrementalist education since the beginning of the last century. That prompted me to recall something in more depth that I've only mentioned in passing here and elsewhere.

What follows is the lesson I learned from an incident I witnessed close to 50 years ago. My readers deserve to hear my report (that you won't find anywhere else) on my own site. I surely hope you guys can help this "agnostic" follow through with his conclusion. I'm pretty sure Kevin would not agree with that conclusion. I didn't even think of that portion while I was posting at his blog. That thought came to me overnight.

Forgive me if I've reported this here before, but it's germane to what has become of education. It provides evidence that the Left was organized and planning their long march early on, and even told us what they planned to do. We either didn't understand or didn't believe them until it was too late. Or is it?

Late in the 2nd trimester of my freshman year at Michigan, the first teach-ins against the Nam war were organized.  I only caught a glimpse of what was going on. But shortly thereafter came the student votes to condemn UM participation in war industry through research grants. Naturally the Engineering School led the voting bloc that constantly voted down the resolutions.

Well, after the SDS lost another vote, some bitch grabbed a bull-horn at an unusual rally site behind the UGLi* and declared
"the only reason we lost is because you're all ignorant. Don't worry, we will educate you."
Most of us went off to work after college to do something productive. She and her ilk, no doubt, went to work as an educrat and thus infiltrated our education institutions. We let them sow their wind, and now nobody should be surprised that we are reaping the whirlwind -- the familiar mindless sloganeering of a herd of indoctrinated sheeple as we witnessed last fall in the Occupy movement.

The reason it now starts in the primary school classroom is that those 60's radicals first began to fully infest the teaching colleges then. According to CS Lewis in "Men Without Chests," the first seeds of that invasion began in British teaching colleges during the 20s and 30s.

Like I wrote up at the top, the "Progressives" were well planned from the start to incrementally bring about their complete control of the West (which is to say the world), while the rest of us were complacent at best. They thrived because they could use Alinksy rule #4 to force us to be tolerant of them by hiding behind the 1st Amendment. Good luck getting the same tolerance now that they are in charge. PC disguises Leftist bigotry and allows them to make rules -- which they enforce ruthlessly -- to silence us.

The question that is pressing us into service is, :
"Can the Right find and keep real leadership once again to thwart their plans and begin the reclamation of liberty?"
Probably. But only with reference to and appeals to God. I cannot think of any more in-your-face conflict with the Left (sinister) forces than bringing Him into it.

-----
*A relatively small rally on the grass between the undergraduate library and West Engineering, probably to catch the attention of us engg students. IIRC, most rallies were staged out in the center of the Diag, on and North of the steps to the graduate library. Her words still ring in my ears. I fully suspect that was the whole reason they were there -- so that if they succeeded eventually, her words would be a form of gloating before the fact.

It's not over sister. If you're still alive, useful idiots are the first to wind up in the gulag because they are viewed as too dangerous by the inner circle.

The Writers And Broadcasters For the SKUNCs

This was in response to a key element in Fran Porretto's first screed at his new home, Liberty's Torch, Addicted To Fear And Trembling.

Neither one of us should be surprised at the tack of a good number of the professional "Right" writers. Being the propaganda arm of the GOP "Progressives," SKUNCs, they are now more often providing us a peek of their masters' hatred for the individual, which is the masked version of what we hear from the radical Left.

I don't see how there's anything with which we on the real Right can effectively threaten these power-mad wolves in sheep's clothing. Their incrementalism seems to have succeeded in gaining control of all govt (however tenuous and inept it might be in practice). And especially since there are almost certainly nihilists near the top, theoretically willing to end it all if they can't rule it. At least that is what they want any potential rebel allies to believe.

About our only solution seems to be to divide them half as effectively as they are at dividing us (over and above what we individuals do on our own in that regard) while patching up our differences, plus a good number of us appealing for help from a higher Authority.

I have good reason to know you would like to believe that that solution is the true path. It's just that most of the time we find it to be so terribly difficult to practice.

Review: Danger to Conservatives If Romney Is Candidate

It occurred to me to review the accurate warning (contemptuously derided by at least one prestigious blogger in whom I now place little trust) that I made the day after McCain clinched the GOP nomination in February 2008. The following excerpt from Beware The Wrath of 'Cain
applies not because Romney is as capable of anger as McCain, but because he is "Progressive" who doesn't love conservatives even when he could use help from them.

And when McCain goes down, our hopes for many very good GOP congressional candidates will be lost too, as a matter of course.

But it can get even much worse than that. And that is why I felt compelled to write this.

For when McCain self destructs, I am virtually certain he is not going to blame himself. He is going to blame conservatives. Thus picturing the following assuredly is not too hard.

From hell's heart, I stab at thee. For hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee.
Yes, I know: That scene from Star Trek II, The Wrath of Khan, is about as melodramatic as anything ever produced by Gene Roddenberry. But it captures the kind of fire that McCain must have had to endure all that he did at the Hanoi Hilton.

I am daring to risk your displeasure to raise this alarm due to the fact that I believe he can still draw on that fire. We will not like how he'll use it should he think he has not received enough repayment over the years for all he endured. This is where his demand for high office gets tacky. How is it possible that we owe him even up to and including turning over to his unpredictable vicissitudes the signatory protection of cornerstones of the republic itself? Such as protecting the First Amendment. But he feels he deserves the presidency.

As self-centered as his anger has been at times, what must we be ready for should he not get that which he believes he deserves? It is simply too likely that the angry McCain will once again emerge. That McCain will not be content to go down alone in this, his one "last chance."

Because conservative Congressional delegates are vastly more important to our interests than leftist ones, we must not forget to get out the vote. And because McCain will control the purse strings of the GOP from now until the elections, now is the time to prepare to get out the vote (GOTV) on our own.

So, once again, why do we need to be prepared? We must be prepared for the likelihood that McCain's wrath will go full blown. Once he's convinced that he cannot win, and because he already seems poised to blame us for it, then we must prepare now that he will for spite hold back GOTV funds (and Lord knows what other mischief). There will be nothing we can do about it then should we fail to prepare for it now.

I am sorry, but this man's recent history demands that we have a plan B.

We need be prepared to Spock our warp drive so it can propel our conservative ship to safety. We must be prepared for just that time when 'Cain believes that he's gonna fail. For by God or the devil, he'll be damned if he doesn't try take us with him.

Be prepared.

Commoditizing Americans

Listen to Mark Levin in his first hour today. He is reviewing the soundbites from the arguments defending Obamacare in front of the Supreme Court. Obama's Solicitor General is attempting to put a handle on every single American.

There's an ancient word that applies to human beings when they are treated as commodities rather than humans with rights of their own. Slavery.

When the State treats you as if you are their property, then you have no rights. You may be permitted some freedoms that look like rights. But they are not rights. Those are privileges bestowed on you by your masters.

Wake up America.

Could Smoking Buy You Time?

I saw yet another news item over the weekend where another town council was considering banning smoking. This time it was in all the city's apartment complexes. And for all the real or imagined healthscare reasons you've grown accustomed to reading.

And I also noticed that the majority of the critics had comments that fall under the subheading of "Nanny State intrusiveness."

Now most of us know how badly the Left is infested with radical Greens and thus influenced by Malthusians.  Given such live and let die sorts at the top of the food chain, "Nanny State" sounds far too benign a label for such actions, let alone giving them a label that fits places so civilized as to have nannies.

So let's think about smoking and its effects a little bit more.

First hand smoke, on average, takes decades to actually kill a smoker (if he dies from it). All in all, it only really takes about 10 years off the average life span of all smokers.

But nowadays there's a big push for people to live healthier. Healthier hearts, lungs, kidneys, livers, etc. One might even call it a propagandizing push. Propaganda to improve the health of the population overall can't be a bad thing, right? Bwahahahahaha.

Let's simply concentrate on the smoking issue again. Think of the people who have lung ailments. If they smoked they probably now wish they hadn't. On average it's safe to say that a very large majority of people who are now suffering, and are eligible for a lung transplant, would want the lung of a recently deceased non-smoker. What sense would it make to take a lung from a preserved cadaver that smoked? Thus, the lung from a non-smoker is much more highly prized.

Now many of you have heard the rumors of how China harvests the organs from its prisoners and makes them available on the world transplant market. For some reason it is not publicized. I can't imagine why not. It's not like the rulers of China are like our Western rulers, right?

For instance, we know how open and honest our Western "progressives" are. They'd surely be open and aboveboard with the purpose behind all their machinations, right? Like climate change scientists.

Anyway, if you think about how much more a certified smoke free human lung could fetch at auction, all this effort begins to make sense. Well, in China anyway.

Surely, over there, you can forget about calling it the Nanny State — that’s far too civilized for what their “progressives” have in mind. Call it the Cannibal State.

On a side note. A little outside the box thinking might actually gain you some time. If you were a plant and wanted to make yourself look less attractive to harvesters, and had the will of a human, what might you consider -- cough -- doing?

Progressive Talk Radio -- Wolves Pretending To Be Sheep

I have had enough. Of Michael Medved, of Hugh Hewitt, of Dennis Prager, of Michael Savage. In that order I have listened to them engaging in a subtle press to get conservatives to believe that Romney is our only hope. In the case of the first two, I watched as they created fear so that conservatives backed the carpetbagging Kennedy stooge, Arnold Schwarzenegger, which led to the demise of California and the blame placed on Republican conservatives.

We must fight back. Don't let them do this to the whole country, again. Fight.

The Principal's Limited Principles

The MSM Agency of Lies was feeding my doubts today. The local "conservative" talk radio Salem station, KRLA, continues to use one of the major network feeds for its hour and half hour news. [I think it's CBS -- I'll take careful note tomorrow and correct this to reflect that.]

They played a snippet of Romney's Illinois primary victory speech that I found troubling. So I searched for a transcript -- which I found at the WAPO "Election2012 blog." In turns out that portion that was played on the radio was near the end of Romney's speech.
"Each day we move closer not just to victory but to a better America. Join us."
The problem for me is knowing that Progressives of both parties would feel reassured in hearing those words. The term better America, coming from the mouth of a "Progressive" Republican, has proven time and again not to be acceptable to conservatives. And from what I hear from independents, it is quite likely not acceptable to them either. The vision of building a better America is always the argument of the Leftists and Statists. WTH is wrong with the American ideal that have been more and more abandoned by the Statist advances of the last few decades? Why did Romney not say, as Reagan would have, "not just to victory, but to a restored America?"  Wellllll, Romneybots? It's because this guy is a PROGRESSIVE. Restoring America is the last thing that ilk has in mind. Any move that does not give them more power is NOT progressive.

But I wanted to give this candidate the benefit of the doubt. The media is far happier with Obama than Romney, so any sound bite they play will quite likely be disingenuous simply because that is what they do.

So I went and found the complete transcript just to find out what Governor Romney said in context. While there was some meat still thrown to conservatives, I was still not happy. The reason was that Gov. Romney spoke of principle only twice. And in both instances he limited that to "economic principle." Is economics the only principles that conservatives care about? Hell no you damn pretender!

"The American economy is fueled by freedom. Economic freedom is the only force that has consistently succeeded in lifting people out of poverty. It is the only principle that has ever created sustained prosperity."
and
"This November, we face a defining decision. Our choice will not be one of party or personality. This election will be about principle. Our economic freedom will be on the ballot." [Emphasis added]
There have been so many illegal moves by the current administration, everywhere from Fast and Furious to attacks on personal liberaties by the Interior Dept and EPA in violation of Constitutional limits. But this clown doesn't want to challenge the Bummer on all those illegalities. How the hell is he any different from the last GOP swan-diver, Jaun McLame?

Principled conservatives -- please stand up!

Instead, the Principal Is Revolting Against Principle

Yesterday I posted Principles Must Revolt Against Principals. We've had "Progressive" Republicans as the Party's nominee since GHWB, and look at the mess we are in. The conservative base abandoned the 2008 swan diver and the independents figured they may as well give the unknown devil a chance rather than one from the party of devils they knew.

So what does the GOP front runner do the day after I post that? He lets his senior adviser admit he's full of hot air. Is that giving independents a real choice or a watered down version of the current president who is surrounded by Marxists and racists and haters of America?

So let's be honest here. The adviser is signalling a knife in the back thanks for any conservatives who fell for Romney and the rest of the unprincipled GOP (I’m looking at to you, Coulter), Romney must believe he’s got the nomination locked up to let his chief strategist say this.

Unfortunately for the liberty-loving of the world, should principled conservatives fail to get uncharacteristically active and loud before nominations are done, you are toast.

Principled conservatives, do NOT fail. The whole world is looking to you to act like your life depended on the outcome.

Principles Must Revolt Against Principals

In Oh the humanity!, a examination of how the Left claims to champion interest groups but actually  harnesses them to an ideology or insists that they remain downtrodden, and one where mayor Bloomberg's actions provide an inhumane example, Wretchard concludes:
Perhaps history will ultimately judge that it was always the Left which after all waged the longest and most enduring war on women and on poor people; and that as a practical matter it kept women obedient servants to an ideology and the poor it kept poor. But nobody ever notices it because they keep saying “we’re on your side”.
Ah, now here’s a story that ought to help us NEVER forget that the Left is not only in the Democratic Party.

There have long been Leftists disguised as Progressives in the GOP since the late 1800s. They have incrementally achieved their aims by never admitting they were really pursuing them. Their job has been to run interference for the most radical Leftists who served as their avante-garde. Nobody with a full brain can honestly contest this any longer. And the GOP, the alleged party of opposition, still permits these incrementalists a cozy spot at the head of the table.

Who here needs reminding that Bloomberg bought himself onto the GOP primary Mayoral ballot all those many years ago and the NYC GOP voted for him in the primary simply because this Dem chose to wear an R and he was bringing his money and influence with him? And that charade was a repeat of what has gone on country wide since GHWB, where the GOP has given us one SKUNC after another as our “choice” to provide an “opposition” to Statism. And now they’re pushing Romney, another damnable SKUNC.

Principles will have to revolt against principals or there will never be a true opposition to the Statist advance. I believe it will be difficult, but I refuse to believe it is impossible.

Their Tactics Cannot Be Used Against Them

I've seen people suggest in several places that we ought to visit upon the Statist the same sort of incremental resistance to their tyranny as they employed to steal our freedoms. The reason we can't act like them is not because such dishonesty and duplicity is wrong, it is because our adversaries will not permit it. They know where they are headed, but will always deny their real ends. A number of us will surmise their ends and attempt to convince the more gullible, but you and I do not own the big megaphones that they own.

But it is far worse than that. There are, to use a precise term, modern casuists in the ranks of our adversaries. These are what you would better recognize by the label "true believers." What happens when the veil falls from their eyes and they see the truth?

The leaders of the avante-garde:
With the radical Left, anyone who tells the mob "hey wait a minute. You're doing it wrong." or "you're going in the wrong direction," or "this is not what we were seeking," is subject to sudden and violent termination for the sin of being a counterrevolutionary. Whatever their actual sins, Robespierre and Trotsky are probably good examples. What was there in power did not need them any longer -- they had outlived their usefulness.

The strategic leaders:
The "Progressives" (as the Jacobins before them) had the appearance of being the rational planners. The radical Left criticized the established order, raised the objections to whatever injustice in the news they could capitalize upon, and with their often violent demonstrations, pushed the envelope of what became tolerable public discussion. All the while the nice sounding and popular "Progressives" like Theodore Roosevelt would stage pleas for leniency to protect the Marxists or anarchists from answering fully to the law for their lawlessness. Those who quite often wanted nothing more than have the miscreants answer for their lawlessness were labeled as reactionaries, no doubt aided by the image painted of the men who reacted in self defense but painted by the media as acting outside the law. Seeing the lies with which today's media has painted both the TEA party and Occupy groups, and knowing of the yellow journalism of the time, I think I'm on firm ground with this speculation.

The pattern to power repeated:
But what of it? Well, it was because the "Progressives" could hide their long range plans and simply repeatedly call for cooler heads to reign, that the Leftward march into and throughout our institutions could be facilitated. They gained one niggling foothold after the other until, voilâ, there we have all sorts of radicals in the Dem party and Progressives Incrementalists in the GOP, and the American equivalent of the Roman Leftist known as Marius sitting in the Oval Office for at least 12 years and maybe more. (We may be at the point of bloody counter-revolution as Ancient Rome under Sulla. But I cannot see how that is any real answer. What will prevent a strong man dictator to come out the other side as happened to the hapless patriotic republicans of Ancient Rome?)

We simply cannot duplicate the actions of the Incrementalists:
But this is why we cannot mimic the actions of the Incrementalists in how they undermined our government. People in our government and in society at large, responded to pressure to allow that the Incrementals were well meaning, so we ought to tolerate their simple requests. Don't punish the radicals too harshly, and allow for little compromises with the radicals. Give in a little and let's see what happens; if their ideas fail, we end the experiment and go back to the way things were -- what's the harm in that? Tolerance, that's the ticket. Do unto others as you would have done unto you.

Like I said at the top: Can you see that being tolerated within in a Statist system? Argue against the top down diktat and find yourself in reeducation camp, sedated under heavy drugs as a mental case, or sent off to the gulags as a counter-revolutionary.

I've seen people suggest in several places that we ought to visit upon the Statist the same sort of incremental resistance to their tyranny as they employed to steal our freedoms. It cannot work that way. And this was why.

The Tragedy of World Reaction to Evil

LOL
Lawyers for the patients say, “we believe this distressing case may be the tip of a very big iceberg.” -- a line from "Doctor Who?" at the Belmont Club.
The rot is much bigger than even these unnamed lawyers could have meant. That big iceberg extends well past healthcare.

In this story, the British bureaucracy stole a child from a mother by means of ordering a doctor to declare her insane. They paid him exorbitant fees to do so. Whatever fee the adoptive parent paid for that child I'd say was dwarfed by its cost to British society. Who could believe that societal harmony and confidence could be further trashed? I imagine that some evil counter-culturalists would be celebrating were they not too busy cooking up another outrage to surpass it.

Scattered Dreams: The Unraveling of the Global Schemers

Some people complain of shattered dreams. I complain of the scattered variety.

Last night I dreamed that I discovered the key words that dissolved the callouses on the consciences of a significant number the world's top schemers.

The result was a resurgence of individual liberty world wide as various heads of bureaucracies were given orders to stop all work until further notice.

And as the days progressed, the pressure to conform to the new awareness began to spread, as Political Correctness began to swing the other way. The old Sustainability worshipers were suddenly on the defensive and fighting amongst their former colleagues who were ridiculing them for being such pagan throwbacks. It was like the words caused their masks to slip, and they were recognized as either murderers or as the instigators of murder. Murder of people. Murder of human advancement. Murder of thriving civilization.

My complaint is: I do not recall what those "magic" words were.

I only recall noticing how simply worded the phrases were. They were so obvious that I could not understand why nobody had stumbled upon them before. I called out in anger to God to tell me why He had clouded so many minds so as not to see it sooner. All I heard in response was the intensified song of birds greeting the rising sun.

I awoke with a sense of vitality I cannot recall feeling in a long time. And frustrated that I could not remember more of the dream -- scattered as usual -- so that I could share it better with you.

If only the ability to convey love for human life could be spread a fraction as easily as it emerged in this dream.

Afterthought.
I wonder if this was inspired by something I ate or this by Og? Given all the weird things he dreams of which he suggests are brought on by his intestinal reactions, it could well be due to both.

Partials

  1. Republicans Now Evenly Divided on Whether Afghanistan War Has Been Worth Fighting  -- Given from the start the enemy-favoring rules of engagement (thanks to W and made worse by the Bummer), it is gratifying to know that there still are many sane people in the Republican Party. Not that the party deserves such decent people as would say "What sort of rat bastards would put our young people into a no-win situation like that?" Were God to intervene on their behalf, He would take out the whole rotten bunch of those under the "Progressive" regressive thumb so that conservatives could be free to choose afresh real representatives.
  2. The race is homo sapiens. There is no race called homo sexuals. We are top heavy with people who, in the interest of Sustainability worship, have been promoting lifestyles that lead to less procreation and shorter life spans. If the few radical homo sexual Leftists want to label anyone as racists accurately, it is the leaders in the ever-growing and insatiable Statist leviathan that claims to be their friend but is using their unhappiness as a tool to aid them incrementally decimate the race of which the gay are but a subculture.

Which Is The Evil? Part 3: Silencings Stepped Up

Ann Barnhardt predicts that Catholicism -- the real thing -- will be forced underground. According to her report, a timid soul of a priest knuckled under to a single shouting protestor and did not deliver his homily for the week.
2. With regards to the homosexualist attacks on the Church, it is beginning. A homosexualist invaded a Mass in the U.K. this morning and shouted down the priest who was trying to read a letter from the local bishop on homosexual "marriage". The priest folded and didn't read the letter. (See item #1) People, this is going to soon be a staple at Catholic Masses. The enemy is launching combat operations. It will probably get to the point before the Church is totally schismed and the True Church goes underground that distribution of the Eucharist to the faithful will have to stop in order to protect Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament from being profaned by the demonic homosexualists sent into Masses to disrupt the liturgy and desecrate the Eucharist. Go to confession and receive the Eucharist in a state of grace as much as you possibly can NOW while you still can, because we may have to go without receiving Him physically pretty soon in order to defend Him and show Him how much we love Him. -- Ann Barnhardt - March 11, AD 2012 7:22 PM MST

Regular readers know I've been warning in print since 2006 of attacks on practitioners of all Judeo-Christian religion, and that I have recently upped my commentary about related events as they unfold. In my opinion, those who have been promoting the notion of Sustainability as if it were an official religion (but they would not want that established while the constitution still stands!) will not tolerate any religion that defends human life at conception (or, with each passing day, at ever more points thereafter). The Catholic Church is the largest body still ostensibly doing that (to the extent that closeted pagans have not taken it over altogether as -- it seems -- at some institutions). Although I wish they were consistent and unflinchingly permitted justice to champion for all innocent human life (rather than being joined with the Leftists in obstructing the execution of murderers), I am willing to stand by them as they defend their conscience in this.

I also wish that they as an institution could be counted upon to continue defending their position half as good as I intend to. Miss Barnhardt, in item number 4 at the same link, seems to doubt they will. She sees them folding and not defending Christ as is their task. She is in a better position than I to understand the workings of the Church. I pray she is wrong in her assessment. I bet she does too.

"Be Fruitful and Multiply AND Replenish the Earth"

This is part 2 of Which is the Evil?

Today's title is from Genesis 1:28:
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Critics of the Bible make a habit of selectively referencing only the Be fruitful, and multiply portion. It's so much simpler when using Critical Theory while waging cultural warfare to leave out a critical and common sense part of the equation. For that matter, in order to replenish the earth, it is best to allow men to have dominion of all creatures on the earth so that they can do it, which is found in the final phrases of the same passage.

Of course, those who seek to rule men want unfettered power to treat them like the other critters. (Hence their ongoing campaign to completely shred the United States Constitution because of its limits on their powers.) The Judeo-Christian ethic actually was evolving into its full potential in the United States -- and individuals from around the globe beat back all sorts of obstacles to get here.

But the regressives who cloaked themselves as "Progressives,"  protected the Marxists who implemented Critical Theory while the country was unaware of why they were as critical as they were. At this point they seem to have achieved a tremendous foothold in all our institutions.

When they were out of power, they criticized all they saw who were in power for their lack of perfection. They refused to allow that any of those flawed people could mean well. (The beginnings of Leftist projection started with that right there.) The only people who they permitted to mean well are other progressives and liberals.

They also they never call anyone on the left out for the radicals they are no matter how extreme. Kinda like they tolerate radical jihadis. When they use the word "extremist" that is reserved for ANYONE a smidgeon to the right of them. It's as obscene as Romney trying to run to the right of all other GOP candidates. That's another reason to distrust Romeny by the way -- he's using their tactics, but on the right, in a lying mirror image.

Anyway, the point of this post is that the Judeo-Christian ethic has in it all that is needed for caring for the environment, and none of it has to do with making a sub-species of all human beings who are not in agreement with those who hate the concept of God.

Which Is The Evil?

Which is the evil position? ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH TO DISCUSS IT?

1) Individuals  being left to decide (whatever they choose) on a) having children, and b) as many as they may conceive, even if it appears (logically, from reason alone) that that would ultimately lead to an overcrowded, substance depleted, waste expanding, unlivable planet.

2) Managers must be permitted the power to govern all those individuals so as to manage the number of people inhabiting the planet; to keep the number within some consensus arrived at and agreed upon limits. These managers get to decide who gets to reproduce, and in what numbers, and to assess whether or not the progeny has attributes that are useful and thus may be permitted to continue to exist. These managers agree that they are not all knowing and all seeing and cannot possibly be held accountable if they made mistakes. But because they mean well, and the consequences of the old order's laissez faire attitude was leading to gigantic, unsustainable, overpopulation, it's better that they have been empowered to prevent the Malthusian eventuality. Whatever problems associated with the mistakes in planning are small in comparison to that eventuality. And besides, we've bought mankind the time needed to solve the problems created by centralized planning.

As I Said, Sandy Fluke Was A Tool

I am very pleased to see that there are accounts in print that relate how Sandy Fluke was staging her act in front of Congress, and her subsequent outrage in the media.

I give you Limbaugh and Our Phony Contraception Debate: A student demands that a Catholic school give up its religion to pay for her birth-control pills.

But C'mon people. It was pretty obvious from a common sense point of view that it was agitprop from the start. (Meaning it didn't require a federally funded study to figure it out). And the media's subsequent lionizing of her behavior was simply typical fare coming from the Agency of Lies (AoL). All to aid the fellow Statists in the Obama administration and Congress whittle away by one more increment your protections from government infringing on your inalienable rights -- in this case, freedom of conscience.

It's your job to continue to tell our friends and relatives in the best way you know how, how the AoL will frame every debate to direct our attention away from anything that sheds light on the various ways they wish to enslave the rest of us.

The Genius of Blaise Pascal

Over the years I've provided bits and pieces of the history of Pascal. At my old website I had several links that were frequently used by visitors to find out more about the man. When I moved my activities here, I overlooked transferring them over. But I never really laid out what I've learned about him over the years.

For a starter, view The peerless Genius - Blaise Pascal (sorry, its author does not permit embeds). The video is pretty good. Beware that the score near the end gets a bit too intense.

Now I'll add a few notable accomplishments that were left out.

Time To Remember the Enemy's Chief Tactic

Rush caved to pressure and published an apology for saying what, IMHO, he should not have said. But once he said it, apologizing in this climate, Jeesh? All he cares about is himself? I expect it to be a disaster for all of us as the extent of that apology's ripple effect has the potential to be pretty much unbounded. Have you seen the crackdown that "free" Australia is facing?

As I pointed out yesterday, had Rush ceased trying to be funny and stressed how much of a tool the object of his scorn was, things would be different.

So today I give you a reminder of what the primary arrow in your enemy's quiver is. "SHUT UP!"

I've an idea. Ask Andrew Klavan to update this video ASAP. Better yet, is there someone else out there with the talent to do something like it? In support of an army of Breitbarts, lets see a few more Klavans.

Is Tool Better Than Slut?

Being a law student and all, Sandra Fluke might feel better had Rush downplayed the nature of her pleas and concentrated on her role on behalf of the death cults who are behind the push for utterly complete Statist control of healthcare.

Feel better now Sandra?

I pray you begin to understand much sooner than "Roe" -- who eventually grew to regret her role. But the media totally ignored her recanting and warning to women and would grant her voice no hearing. She was of no further use for the advancement of the agenda of those who so hate the human race.

**Update**
Just A Grunt confirms my hunch: Sandra Fluke’s Appearance Is No Fluke

Here's Where New Leaders Come From

Refugees from the world's hell holes know what those places are like. They don't want to see those evil forces, and those that are allied with them in their new homes, gaining sway on the shores that were once havens. If you can't follow them, at least heed their warnings and act like men.

A Pakistani apostate now resident in Spain wants the Spanish government to ban the Koran. From Gates of Vienna No Quran in Spain.

This is the plea of a refugee, “Imran Firasat,” who is aghast that those who rule his new home would consider giving the terror he fled a new crack at him by permitting it a foothold.

The West was once the place to which refugees fled; and to the United States most of all.

For what we permitted to happen to our country in the last few generations, we should be horsewhipped.

Expressing Joy for Life Itself

This is one of those tunes and arrangements from the swing era that carried the West through WW II. It stands homage to that one song that lights you up. After you hear it once or twice, you can understand why some tyrannies cannot tolerate music at all.

Quote of the Day: Creating Hell on Earth

Some of Wretchard's best insights he writes down in his comments to his own blog.
I think we may find that there are no doors to Hell. The devils stay in there because they do not want to come out. What keeps them in is their pride in being wrong; the idea that they are better, even if they are wrong.

That is what will keep the Left to its course too. They know they’re wrong. But they will never admit it. Of all the things they love, nothing do they worship more than their own feet. -- The Corruption of Culture

Lincompoops

Apparently the AP has endorsed the recommendations of the newest victimogues who go by the not atypically type of name for left-wing racialists: the Asian American Journalists Association.

Asian American Journalists Association releases guidelines on Jeremy Lin media coverage

Who exactly elected these linatics the official spokesmen for Asians? Only the latest group to whose pronouncements members of said group better adhere or be declared the equivalent of Oreos. Asians or those of Asian ancestry better adhere to the diktats of the AAJA or be declared Uncle Lins.

The Agency of Lies will not rest until it can find victims in every group on earth so another bunch of Left-wing scum (as in the Jacksons and Sharptons) can garner some power and money for themselves while enslaving the rest of us with speech codes and thought control and double-think.

I surely hope the dextrosphere does not give a moments rest to the AP and the rest of the crowd who tries to foist every form of Political Cowering on the rest of us individuals. Fight back people.

For a start: instead of calling them ninnies, just call them linnies. Dripping with scorn of course.

**Update**:
About 16 hours later, Wretchard at The Party Line has gathered evidence that strongly suggests all that we are witnessing is part of a single piece that actively aims to disturb our peace. The members of the Belmont Club are sure to add their witty insights too, so it may prove entertaining to read their comments after about 24 hours.
Victimoguery or not, when Lincompoops such as the AAJA may arise out of nowhere to be instantly recognized as policy czars, what sort of ninnies are the rest of us?

Another Troublesome Feature of This Overlong Primary Season

Today I received yet another email request for money, allegedly for the purpose of making phone calls, to defeat Romney in the Michigan primary next week.

Rick Santorum is doing everything he can to fight Romney on TV right now. Unfortunately, that means he doesn't have much money left over for critical voter identification and get-out-the-vote phone calls that need to be made in the next 24-48 hours. That's where we come in.

Our plan is to spend the next 72 hours calling Michigan voters, identifying Santorum supporters, and getting them out to vote on Election Day. In a close election, it could be the difference between defeating Mitt Romney and allowing him to be our GOP nominee. [Emphasis in original]

Their stated goal was slightly above $30K. I'd be more than happy to contribute if I felt it wasn't going to pay media for anything. Money being fungible, who the heck knows what they'll do with any excess? (I've come in contact with professional political background guys many times over the years, and each time I felt I needed a shower immediately afterward.)

Gee. You'd think that maybe instead of money they'd be seeking volunteers to aid in making phone calls. (And based on my own behavior lately, I'm not even sure it will help. I screen everything coming in, and hardly answer any non-personal calls anymore.)

Yes. I know the problem with that approach. Who can the campaign trust? I could see Romney or Obama supporters volunteering to call on behalf of Santorum. And the Santorum forces should believe them, right?  Bzzzzz.

Well, perhaps by reading a few blogs and seeing who is likely to be a Santorum supporter, or at least an anybody-but-Romney type, they'd be better off leaving comments at sites such as this and asking for volunteers.

Gee, why would *I* be suspicious of purely money soliciting emails like this one?

Damn I'd like to help, but I'm constrained by the worry that my money has a greater chance of going directly to keep alive our worst enemy -- the numerous media outlets -- so it may continue to peddle its lies to further its Draconian agenda.

The 280th Anniversary of George Washington's Birth

It's no wonder today's pygmies have removed his name from the annual national holiday honoring his birth.

I suspect he modeled his behavior on that of Cincinnatus, the man most important for the survival and traditional ethics of the early Roman republic. (It's almost impossible to get anyone today to understand the huge difference between that republic and the tyrannical empire that subdued it.)

George Washington embodied both greatness and humility, the most uncommon of combined traits. This is the man whose actions and sacrifices were so significant in establishing a home offering temporal liberty for all mankind.

God bless his soul and deliver us from those who hate what he represents.

The Agency of Lies Forcing a Religious Test On the Wrong Candidate

The No Religious Test Clause of the United States Constitution is found in Article VI, paragraph 3, and states that:
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.
The excessive concentration on Rick Santorum's beliefs amounts to a religious test conducted in the court of public opinion.

It  is coming from both the Left (major TV and newspapers) and from the Right (e.g. all of Salem(witch) Broadcasting's talkers either directly or by snide implication.)

Meanwhile, Barack Hussein Obama attended Islamic madrassa  in Indonesia when very young, had two fathers who were Muslim. And we are to suppose that the young Barack Hussein never had to declare allegiance to Allah (to which apostasy garners the convert to Christianity a fatwah)? The agents of the Agency of Lies have declared questioning Mr. Obama on this out of bounds since day one of his appearance on the national scene.

The good news is that America will not fall for this anal cavity search on Mr. Santorum as long as my bare handful of regular readers dare make note of what I'm saying here to the handful of people they talk with daily.

Get the word out. The way the Agency of Lies is attacking Mr. Santorum could be called what? Satanic? Why did that word come to mind?

Unholy Alliance

Yesterday, with Incremental Orwellianism, I presented only the latest example that ought lead everybody to conclude that our two political parties are united -- them against most of the rest of us.

Over the years I've been quizzed on it from the typical sheeple with the questions they've been schooled in by the antidisestablishmentarian "conservative" talk show hosts. "C'mon Pascal. The difference in the positions of the two parties could not be more clear." Although they've long heard the wisdom -- and many even adhere to it -- to "judge a man by his deeds and not his words," they somehow cannot take that same wisdom and apply it to the political party of their choice.

How can two parties be so united even as one of them quite obviously gets angry with the other over the differences in their party's stated goals? They can't ALL be acting can they?

All it takes is for each of the members of the parties to conclude that they are somehow better than the rest of humanity. In that common inclination that they each have something special that other humans lack, they unite against the rest of us. It's another one of those conscience-salving phenomena, somewhat less directly deadly than the radical green concept that the number of humans on the planet must be drastically reduced, but every bit as autocratic in its consequences.

The liberals in the Democratic Party believe that they are purer because they mean well. And the media almost never holds them to account when their hare-brained schemes go awry. The Progressives (who started out in the GOP, but whose mentality has shifted over to the Dems also) always thought themselves the enlightened ones, the ones who knew best, "the best and brightest," the most clever -- yes sneaky -- but the ends justify the means so the libs will accept us even as they don't trust patricians.

So we have one party that gets its most ardent followers from those who think they're more pure at heart than the rest of humanity.
We have another party that is controlled by those who believe themselves to be super clever and better thinkers and planners than the rest of humanity.

They've managed to get along with each other because each is willing to accept the others shortcomings just so long as they get what they want. Were men angels, we would need no government. But also because they who govern are not angels but men subject to the same failings as the governed, checks must be placed on the governors. The American constitution was written with the express intent of limiting what mischief men in government might be inclined to do.

As the consequences of sowing the wind from this unholy alliance between the former adversaries -- where they labored to convince us that they were true adversaries, but they are winking at and not checking each other -- that we now are reaping the whirlwind.

As the world devolves into chaos, remember the sins of those in this unholy alliance, an alliance based on variations in hubris, and then maybe the survivors will be demand humility in their new leaders -- on the pain of death. (A very fine thought on this day that is the pretender to Washington's Birthday on Wednesday. George Washington, the indispensable man whose humility shames the hollow men we have today. It's no wonder that today's rulers wish him forgotten.)

Please God: Deliver us from evil one more time.

Incremental Orwellianism

  • President Obama claims that the religious institutions really don't have to compromise their principles.
  • President Obama has proclaimed that contraceptive and sterilization devices, drugs and services must be provided FREE.
  • When someone must provide a product or service under penalty of law, that is SLAVERY.
If the Republican Party is really the party of economic freedom, why don't they plainly warn against slavery when it's been proposed by our dictator President?

I never quite understood the Ingsoc slogan "Freedom is Slavery" in Orwell's 1984. I now do.
Being forced to do something for free is slavery.

The silence from what claims to be the Right "leadership" is simply unacceptable. Maybe tomorrow talk radio will pick up my perspective. Don't hold your breath!

Maybe it's time to think of Obama as merely the face of Big Brother. The two parties are one when only your humble blogger, a nobody, states what should be obvious to leaders of a real opposition.

Look for new leaders or get comfortable being slaves.

Your being convinced to accept chains has been less clear before. How about now? When is incrementalism no longer incremental?

Why Conservatives Don't Trust the GOP

What follows is why your humble author does not trust the GOP. I bet I am not alone, hence my title.

I would bet that if any of the talkers on talk radio were really conservative they would have brought up what follows themselves.

I don't care about what the actual legal process is allegedly supposed to look like because it seems that when the Democrats want laws reversed, they get a quick hearing from SCOTUS. When conservatives want laws reversed, the GOP won't do the work that the Democrat law-makers did. (In other words it looks like the GOP is in the tank. I think it proper to call the Republican Party the base of operations for the "Progressives" Incrementalists on the Right.)

The following is a typical refrain from the little conservative who feels betrayed:
Pascal, I don't understand why he's not charged (or sued) for what he's done already (recess appointments, mandates on insurance companies, etc.). -- Ed B. of Not of This Earth.
You really don't understand?
Or you don't like where your logical speculations lead; and from experience you know so few people will listen to your logical conclusions?

Because the direction the speculation goes tells you that
  1. the growth of government is a one-way street and
  2. we don't have a true opposition set of representatives.
When Ronald Reagan got the line item veto passed by Congress, DEM Senator Robert Byrd was johnny-on-the-spot filing a brief with the SCOTUS. His complaint got heard -- and the line item veto reversed -- in almost no time at all. There was NONE of this 2 years of taxes collected for ObamaCare before the SCOTUS decides if it's kosher.

Or how about when the voters of the State of Washington passed term limits on its Congressman. Then Dem Speaker of the House Tom Foley took it immediately to SCOTUS. He had it declared unconstitutional lickety-split.

Meanwhile our illustrious GOP Speaker John Boehner cries about how unfair Obama is, how unfair the press is, how unfair his base is. He tells us through all those tears how he's a real conservative. But he still gave away to Obama the keys to the treasury this last August. And then, for good measure, he caved on the payroll tax extension in December.

Isn't it true that many of you who are reading this post have said the same thing at some time in the past -- "I don't understand" -- rather than truly express your thoughts on the matter because your thoughts are so dark you dared not state them?

You and I would probably both find our names on a list for those destined for the new gulag. I figure I better speak out while I still have the ability to think at all. Orwell said Newspeak was the tool by which Big Brother sought to make it impossible for his subjects to piece together thoughts that were detrimental to his rule. Look at the state of American education and who it is that is running the media and then look me in the eye and tell me Orwell was not spot on.

I see speaking out as a God given gift. I view it as a terrible ingratitude to push that gift aside. I'd rather be scorned by the GOP than damned by God.

How about you?

Incre-mental Case

All of the following, excepting the last sentence, is an observation in regret that was prompted from the comment stream of "self-herding sheep" at Crusader Rabbit.
“Incrementalism is a method of working by adding to a project using many small (often unplanned), incremental changes instead of a few (extensively planned) large jumps…”-- Wikipedia
The schemers through their PR branches may own the Progressive label, but you know the road to tyranny over a once free people could never have been accomplished any other way but incrementally.

I fear that makes me an incre-mental case for having allowed it to advance for so long without my speaking out sooner and actively seeking and rallying more supporters. There were many of us who also saw and said little, each of us awaiting the other to take the lead.

Given the incremental destruction to all education in contemporary America, most certainly leadership training had to have been an early target. Every leadership course I've encountered in my long life had the underlying message "Go along to get along."

In retrospect I think we should all be immensely grateful that George Washington had the good sense not to succumb to such tripe.

Attack On Our Care for Posterity

This is a follow-on to my recent republication of "At the Core of the Judeo-Christian Ethos: What Animates Its Critics."

I great number of us have been conditioned to be pessimists. Yet it only takes a little faith to beat that conditioning. Your enemies know it too.

The tune below became popular when I was still in my twenties and I had not yet met my wife. I definitely had grown to like the sound of the psychedelic mix added to the tune, but I'm sure I didn't think much of the lyrics even then. I was just never that pessimistic.

I'm sad to say that many fellow baby boomers, especially those a few years younger, did feel at a loss to solve the worlds problems as they had been laid out by the Neo-Malthusians ten years earlier. How many followed the pessimistic maladvice of Timothy Leary's "turn on, tune in, drop out" that are echoed in these lyrics? Too many that I knew and have since lost touch with, that's for sure.

But what about the "faithful?"

Even those who still feel they are loyal to the Judeo-Christian ethos will say to me "but, yeah, there are too  many people." The thought that God had given mankind the intellect to solve the issues of population without resorting to neopaganistic human sacrifices is a faith that has been driven out of them if they ever had an inclination to have such faith to begin with. The bible does not simply say "be fruitful and multiply." It says
"Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth."
Thus I tell you that the ethos foresaw the fear so many of you believe in today. See how it suggests that man has all he needs to follow this assigned purpose for his life. The purpose for his life? Well, it IS the very first task found in Genesis. But without faith? As I explained in the post that preceded this, those who want power to rule us all as if we were all dumb brutes hate the Judeo-Christian Ethic. They want the very notion of faith in something higher and more powerful than them – a just and final Judge and Protector – never to enter our minds.

Who exactly did Alvin Lee tell "So I'll leave it up to you-ooo-ooo" in his lyric? In retrospect he and that "but I don't know what to do" generation granted the power to solve it all to the Progressives Incrementalists. I and those like me were never given a fair hearing before the unwitting granted such permission. At any rate, it is a power that has been seized with or without Mr. Lee's permission and to which we seem to be at a loss of power to reverse -- so far.

I'D LOVE TO CHANGE THE WORLD

I'd love to change the world
(Dee-dee-dee-dee)
But I don't know what to do

Better Late Than Never (Glenn Beck)

This morning I heard Glenn Beck issue a warning about the danger to any who hold Judeo-Christian views. This was prompted by Obama's current assault on Catholic Church managed health providers. He wants listeners to stand with the Catholics. I concur. [UPDATE: Attack On Our Care for Posterity is the new follow-up to this post.]

My own formal warning on this, posted at my old website (PascalFervor.com) in 2006, often cannot be brought up from the WayBack Machine. So I'll repost it again today. Were I to rewrite it today I'd think I write it more to the point, and I'd make sure to explicitly link the Precautionary Principle to the adversaries of the heart of Christianity and Judaism. But I'll let it stand as it is, awkward wording and all.

The Only Bad Publicity Is No Publicity

I warn you again about how much the Right is being manipulated into backing the two most Establishment candidates.

Talk radio is as conservative as its sponsors and the handful of radio groups will permit it to be. Yes, they will SAY things that you like because those good thoughts all come from you.  But when it comes time to put their money where their mouths have been, they will go with those who have gained their allegiance by permitting them to go on and SAY all those nice things so that you will buy their books. Making each of them very wealthy,

You know in your bones that's how the system works. Accept it.

Once you accept that, then you know that cronies back both the Left and the Right, so you have very good reason to be more skeptical over the way this is playing out.
  • Yes, Romney is the most country club of GOP candidates.
  • Yes, Gingrich is being gang-attacked. I also feel like defending him when the attacks are over the top. But I did that for G W Bush too even though I detested how Statist and Left pleasing (and them never acknowledging it) he could be.
Please look at all this bad blood publicity for what it is: Providing name recognition for Gingrich and Romney.

Rick Santorum basically has had the oxygen in all of the recent debates sucked away from him. Stolen on behalf of R & G by the guiding hand of the moderators and later bickered over all over the map. That all starts and continued with MSM The Agency of Lies -- it deciding who get the oxygen.

I know I am not going to persuade any of you. But let me state this for the record:
R & G are losers for us. They will either lose to Obama like McCain did, or they will become care-takers of the burgeoning state so that the Left can do in 2014 what they did in 2006 -- claim that the GOP is bad for America.
Name recognition buys at least half of the votes. That and fear that only "He can win." The resultant candidate would then only offer the non Leftist American the choice of voting for the radical Obama or a GOP Progressive. That is not a good choice. THAT IS NO SENSIBLE CHOICE!

I don't get where anyone thinks that Newt is not a Progressive. And if you know he IS a Progressive, WTF? "He can win" is what saddled California with the gawdawful Schwarzenegger instead of the best candidate, McClintock.

As you suffer from either Obama's 2nd term or under either of these Progressives, please remember I warned you. Maybe you can then tell me why you didn't heed me. Okay?

ObamaCare Ought To Be the Key Issue

As Rick Santorum pointed out forcefully last night, Governor Romney still defends "the elimination of fundamental freedoms" in RomneyCare. Romney can't run against this BIG (>75% hate Obamacare) issue.

But who am I to tell you this?

And who is Rick Santorum? That's the way the MSM -- including most of talk radio which spends all of its time defending Newt or Mitt only -- likes it.

They do not want you to hear Santorum. Why? He's not perfect, but he can take this issue cleanly to Obama.

Why don't you back Rick Santorum? Because the feminists hate him. And most of our side are afraid of them?  That's gotta be it. "He can't win" because he's pro-life. Tell your feminist influenced friends that Santorum isn't the dictator Obama is. Santorum is not going to eliminate abortions like Obama is eliminating loads of other things. Obama is eliminating freedom of healthcare and eliminating our security with his anti-American foreign policies and eliminating jobs through dictatorial regulations at EPA and Labor and Commerce and -- need I go on?

All you conservatives just don't like that he's strongly pro-life? I must be a fool for not getting it. Someone make me an offer to sell my principles. Oh -- you have? Well, keep trying. Maybe you'll stumble on the truth.

Self-Defeating

As this seemingly neverending campaign season grinds on, and you receive requests to send money to campaigns or super PACs, don't forget this.

The money you send is helping keep your most insidious and relentless enemy alive. The  MSM Agency of Lies will take your money and become an even bigger factor in destroying your life.

If only, like The Magnetic Monster, we could over-feed it so that it blows itself up. Ah. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Did That Really Come From Newt?

When I reproduced the money bomb email in yesterday's post, I scrubbed off the "From" line along with the "To" line. Sorry about that.

I was asked, half jokingly, by more than a few people whom I told of the email
"Are you sure that came from Gingrich?"
It's a fair question given all the political dirty tricks that  have transpired in the past and seem to be on the increase.

Why would the Gingrich campaign deliberately send out an email that plays to the stereotypical charge that "Gingrich is a bomb thrower?"

I have no idea. Ask them.

Here's the line I left off yesterday (since added).
Subject: Money Bomb: Deliver the Knockout Punch
From: Newt Gingrich <campaign@newtgingrichforpresident.org >

I really wish the question did not feel like a joke. That is because the targets of the joke are all those who legitimately wish to restore the dream that is America.

Could Newt Be More Self Defeating?

In what follows, I'm aware that there is a certain sick humor about all this. Perhaps the laugh is on anyone who thinks the GOP hierarchy is actually trying to oust Obama. Or maybe the laugh is on the gullible buyers of books put out by conservative talkshow hosts. They sure write good books detailing what Obama is doing wrong and extolling what is right and honest. Obama's presidency has been a boom time for them, doncha know.

It surely is mighty hard to take in what follows and keep a straight face..

By now everybody has heard how tone deaf Romney has been. Talkers and bloggers have chalked up his loss in Saturday's South Carolina primary election to Mr. Romney "being unable to read the voters."

Like that was a revelation? As far as I'm concerned, Mr. Romney, like Mr. McCain before him, and Mr. Huntsman, and countless other Republicans, simply hate conservatives because we simply don't approve of "Progressives" pretending to be moderates.

But what of Mr. Gingrich? The Carolinians reacted favorably to Newt's eagerness to fight the media and from there extended confidence in him to take on Obama and the Dems. I personally still await to hear his clear denouncement of the radical Greens and their sophistic abuse of the Precautionary Principle. He has the smarts to do it if he's not in the tank. Intelligent anti-greens know this too. I want to know:
Is Newt truly a changed man?

Well, now that's where this post begins to get funny.

The media and the talkers and several big bloggers have frequently call Mr. Gingrich "a bomb thrower."

And what shows up in my email on Sunday?

Subject: Money Bomb: Deliver the Knockout Punch
From: Newt Gingrich

.
.
Please read this special message from Newt Gingrich.
.

Patriot,

Our success in yesterday's South Carolina primary is a result of one thing: a national movement of conservative patriots who want to see bold solutions enacted to....

Money Bomb? Any kind of bomb?

Wasn't one of the primary reasons Mr. Gingrich won South Carolina was because he used his great political skills? He proved he could out-trash talk the media? Because he could turn the tables on them?

So what does his campaign do right after that win? It feeds the opposition's bomb-thrower stereotype.

Bold ass you say?

Yeah, that's the first criteria Americans seek in their presidents.

Manipulated

South Carolinians sure have my sympathy today. You are the latest subjects to be manipulated. I surely hope you understand.

If I learned nothing else from Orwell, I learned that the Statist regime winds up running its own opposition. And you believe our current situation is dissimilar?

“We’re doing this because it is the right thing to do”

Is that the imperial "We" there? You bet it is.
Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West -- part 6.

In recent weeks I've presented how the Precautionary Principle forms the basis of a new morality. People who operate surreptitiously -- for what they believe is the common good -- feel good about themselves no matter how much sophistry they employ. “We’re doing this because it is the right thing to do.” Got it?

"Progressives" Using Incrementalism

My readers know I loath the word "Progressive" used as a label for the bastard Incrementalists. That is because their chosen label belies their real agenda: to achieve furtively, a little bit at a time, authoritarian repression. They do this with a clear conscience because they believe themselves anointed with a clearer vision. That vision requires that mankind be ruled by supermen. So in support of the Precautionary Principle's worry that mankind might overburden the environment without their rule, they fully intend on regressing the livelihood of the common man.

Tough to do in a free and open and informed society you say?

Precautionary Principle Is Older Than 1999

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West -- part 5.

I've heard a disheartening remark from at least two people who already understand how the Precautionary Principle is a threat not only to progress but to liberty. "Most people are too stupid to understand, so why bother discussing it?" For me such an attitude recalls the smartassery "beauty may only be skin deep, but ugly goes clear down to the bone."

Nanny State Bestows Mercy

I stumbled upon some good news for a change.

A terrified householder grabbed a carving knife and fought a ‘fencing match’ with machete-wielding burglars, a court heard yesterday.

During the struggle, an intruder was stabbed and died from his injuries later.

Grandfather Peter Flanagan, 59, was arrested on suspicion of murder but prosecutors ruled he should face no charges because he had acted reasonably to defend himself.

The decision followed a pledge by [PM] David Cameron that homeowners who defend themselves against intruders should not be prosecuted provided they use ‘reasonable force’.

Isn't that grand? UK has been in the forefront of intimidating its citizens from defending themselves, notoriously persecuting and imprisoning home defenders for eliminating, without a badge, state-terror agents home invaders.

Well, here's a thanks to God for Peter Flanagan's good fortune. He was the lucky one to be graced with what meager mercy Downing Street offers its subjects. The Queen's wielders of force took a holiday from their jealousy as sole arbiters of justice.

Precautionary Principle Tyranny

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West -- part 4.

Christinewjc: I apologize if I am not "getting" your point regarding the "precautionary principle." I read your recent blog post about it and have concluded that perhaps I need an example?#

Someone charges that your ideas are a threat to humanity. Your normal defense is that they must prove it. They counter that IF they are right, the danger is so bad that the burden of proof shifts to you. They, under color of authority, go on and ban your normal operations, demanding that you first prove that your efforts are not a danger before they allow you to proceed. Rights guaranteed by the US Constitution, "freedom of speech and assembly and of religion" and "innocent until proven guilty," have been discarded wherever the Precautionary Principle has been recognized.

Judeo-Christian ethics and the Western tradition views innocent human life with sanctity. Human life is holy. Under the cover of the Precautionary Principle, Greens insist that Malthusianism has to be given the upper hand; that a human's usefulness must be weighed in order to determine their innocence; and that old line moralists are a threat to those who seek to supersede Judeo-Christian morality with morality founded upon those who worship Sustainability.
Thanks for that explanation, Pascal. #

I must say that it is kind of ironic that some leftist secular progressives (especially the celebrity types) might use such an idea against Christian Conservative viewpoints, but ignore the dangers of Islam and label it "the religion of peace" when, for the most part, it has been quite the opposite for centuries.

Kind of ironic, yes. There is little true irony when it comes to the implementation of renewed authoritarianism. When each new bar to individual freedom is preceded by the implementers claiming to be achieving the opposite of what you are witnessing, the only irony (unless it's duplicity) is to be found in those who sincerely believe they are watchdogs as those consequences unfold right before their eyes.

Want a new approach to fight each attempted new breech of individual rights? Discover how your adversaries have employed the Precautionary Principle, then go on to reveal how their plans are a greater threat to humanity than anything you might do. Defeating the tactic and turning the tables becomes easier when more people comprehend how they're under attack because you've stripped the facade away from the attackers.

Happy New Year: Implacable Enemy Within the West -- part 3

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West (part 3)

Exactly ten years ago today, a comment appeared at Free Republic in a thread based on the publication “Human Sacrifice Rationalization in 7th Grade Curriculum .” The Precautionary Principle was not directly mentioned, but it was clearly present in the thinking of those who scoff at men filled with faith, optimism and the love of mankind.

Here is the summary of that comment:
A fundamental disparity appears to set up the battleground, the reason, the cause celebre, for the confrontation predicted in Revelations known as Armageddon.
  • The God-fearing belief they must be allowed to procreate, to obey what they see as God’s wishes, that the choice to have children ought be left solely to the couple and providence. They note that no matter how many people on the planet, God has provided when man is free to worship freely. The overwhelming success of this country is testament to that.
  • Those without faith in God have a different belief: the unshakable, Malthusian driven fear that believers in God must be neutralized in order to save the planet from the inevitable geometric growth of humanity if the wishes of “the great unwashed” are left unchecked. They fear the planet cannot stand further human growth, and are therefore dead-set against any who promote it. So they have aided, abetted and employed the God-scoffers to indoctrinate our children against God and belief in Him. Our children are being indoctrinated to not have this faith in God, to believe man must limit himself. Our children will be warned not to believe that God said be “fruitful and multiply.” Our children will think it patriotic to not have children of their own. Our children are being taught to believe that those who “breed” are traitors.

Even non-believers ought be able to see how this conflict sets the God scoffers against the God believers.
Institutional rot concomitant to advancing authoritarianism have only gotten worse since then.

Over the last week I’ve been flogging how the Precautionary Principle is at the core to morphing Western culture into accepting authoritarian rule. And that authoritarian rule is deliberately regressive in nature because true progress causes humanity to thrive — as happened when the ideas from the Age of Reason led to the toppling of authoritarian rule in British America.

The Precautionary Principle is the prime reason for the new morality that views population reduction as a moral necessity. The useful idiots who actually believe that “we must assume Malthus was right so we can prevent massive uncontrolled deaths” are delivering the West (the progenitor and protector of individual liberty) into the hands of power mad monsters. History is quite clear: power mad monsters always rain death.

More anon.

Invoking the Precautionary Principle While Disavowing Knowledge of It

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West (part 2)

This a follow-up to my Christmas commentary: Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West.

Just in case you start asking around about the Precautionary Principle, and are answered with the Senatorial Denial such as this: "No, I haven't heard of it. But it sounds interesting. Why don't you send that information to my office and my staff will review it."

Well, our legislators and policy makers sure know how to invoke it despite Senator Knownothing.

When invoking the Precautionary Principle our rulers tend to go whole hog and use it to their benefit as they hide behind the facade that they are protecting us. "This [insert latest fright] crisis is too great, the threat to the public too dire, for our government to be limited in its actions by anything so old fashioned as the US Constitution." Or, in the words of Rahm Emanuel, "Never let a crisis go to waste."

Here's the opening paragraph from a 2007 essay warning of those who know the Precautionary Principle well enough to make use of it to benefit their cronies while ignoring the side effects.

The United States employs a version of the precautionary principle when it confronts threats to national security. We spend vast amounts on defenses against threats unlikely to affect Americans. Experts, defense officials, and politicians justify the expenditures by saying they are necessary to protect the public from worst case dangers. Those claims ignore what is probable and what defenses cost. They exaggerate the danger our enemies pose and strip resources from more probable dangers, making us less safe. -- Benjamin H. Friedman, "The terrible 'ifs': U.S. defense policy makers have adopted the precautionary principle."
My point is, any US government legislator or office seeker who denies they know of the Precautionary Principle so that they don't have to answer hard questions about its use are either liars or too stupid to be running for office.

Merry Christmas

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West (part 1)

The most joyous time of the year in America has always been Christmas. Cherish it my friends, whatever your beliefs. The forces in power are not to be trusted to permit this to continue. Indeed, they've been actively whittling away at it.

Blaming the TEA Party for Not Owning the Media

The news cycles have been relentlessly blaming a handful of Republicans in the House for days now.

This INCLUDES at least one "conservative" talk station, 870 KRLA, which is a major (if not flagship) station of Salem Broadcasting. Salem also owns TownHall.com. Simply corrupt.

What do we call this working overtime for the other side? Quisling seems too far. Mole doesn't fit when they own the place. Termites tend to be bureaucratic. RINO is an old epithet that I've repeatedly complained of as being too kind. The corruption is so palpable.

Guy S' SKUNCs, even though I like it, is simply not angering enough as far as I can say personally.

I don't know what else to say. Even Og is no help here. The best he can do is tell me "like you expected something different?"  YES. Why have so many on the Right given up?

Is Ace corrupted? Most days I think so.

Even I must be corrupted in that I constantly feel the urge to just give up.

What Say You?

"We are not voting ourselves out of this" is the line I am repeatedly reading.

So what sort of solution do I think offers us any non-confrontational relief?

We wind up voting The Bummer out. Eschewing any support for a third party will accomplish that.

Then we get very active, and let the TEA Party sentiment be the generally accepted rule and fly in the face of all efforts by the propaganda mills.

This time will be unlike how most of us behaved under GWBush. Much more like how we vocally objected to Harriet Myers and the Dubai ports trial balloons, and very less how we responded to his failure to push tort reform, put teeth into the Beck decision, or use his veto pen even before we remained silent on his growing government.

We daily fight to hold the GOP Prez to what is American and not European/Collectivist/Statist/Globalist.

I am just free wheeling here. Brainstorming. What say you?

Comment at JWF

My instant reaction to "Chavez Calls Obama a Clown" was to think of how Orwell viewed hostilities of communist nations in his last novel.

That in turn prompted me to to imagine The Bummer's response to Chavez.

We are at war with Venezuela. We have always been at war with Venezuela.”
