Quote of the Day: Creating Hell on Earth

Some of Wretchard's best insights he writes down in his comments to his own blog.
I think we may find that there are no doors to Hell. The devils stay in there because they do not want to come out. What keeps them in is their pride in being wrong; the idea that they are better, even if they are wrong.

That is what will keep the Left to its course too. They know they’re wrong. But they will never admit it. Of all the things they love, nothing do they worship more than their own feet. -- The Corruption of Culture

Lincompoops

Apparently the AP has endorsed the recommendations of the newest victimogues who go by the not atypically type of name for left-wing racialists: the Asian American Journalists Association.

Asian American Journalists Association releases guidelines on Jeremy Lin media coverage

Who exactly elected these linatics the official spokesmen for Asians? Only the latest group to whose pronouncements members of said group better adhere or be declared the equivalent of Oreos. Asians or those of Asian ancestry better adhere to the diktats of the AAJA or be declared Uncle Lins.

The Agency of Lies will not rest until it can find victims in every group on earth so another bunch of Left-wing scum (as in the Jacksons and Sharptons) can garner some power and money for themselves while enslaving the rest of us with speech codes and thought control and double-think.

I surely hope the dextrosphere does not give a moments rest to the AP and the rest of the crowd who tries to foist every form of Political Cowering on the rest of us individuals. Fight back people.

For a start: instead of calling them ninnies, just call them linnies. Dripping with scorn of course.

**Update**:
About 16 hours later, Wretchard at The Party Line has gathered evidence that strongly suggests all that we are witnessing is part of a single piece that actively aims to disturb our peace. The members of the Belmont Club are sure to add their witty insights too, so it may prove entertaining to read their comments after about 24 hours.
Victimoguery or not, when Lincompoops such as the AAJA may arise out of nowhere to be instantly recognized as policy czars, what sort of ninnies are the rest of us?

Another Troublesome Feature of This Overlong Primary Season

Today I received yet another email request for money, allegedly for the purpose of making phone calls, to defeat Romney in the Michigan primary next week.

Rick Santorum is doing everything he can to fight Romney on TV right now. Unfortunately, that means he doesn't have much money left over for critical voter identification and get-out-the-vote phone calls that need to be made in the next 24-48 hours. That's where we come in.

Our plan is to spend the next 72 hours calling Michigan voters, identifying Santorum supporters, and getting them out to vote on Election Day. In a close election, it could be the difference between defeating Mitt Romney and allowing him to be our GOP nominee. [Emphasis in original]

Their stated goal was slightly above $30K. I'd be more than happy to contribute if I felt it wasn't going to pay media for anything. Money being fungible, who the heck knows what they'll do with any excess? (I've come in contact with professional political background guys many times over the years, and each time I felt I needed a shower immediately afterward.)

Gee. You'd think that maybe instead of money they'd be seeking volunteers to aid in making phone calls. (And based on my own behavior lately, I'm not even sure it will help. I screen everything coming in, and hardly answer any non-personal calls anymore.)

Yes. I know the problem with that approach. Who can the campaign trust? I could see Romney or Obama supporters volunteering to call on behalf of Santorum. And the Santorum forces should believe them, right?  Bzzzzz.

Well, perhaps by reading a few blogs and seeing who is likely to be a Santorum supporter, or at least an anybody-but-Romney type, they'd be better off leaving comments at sites such as this and asking for volunteers.

Gee, why would *I* be suspicious of purely money soliciting emails like this one?

Damn I'd like to help, but I'm constrained by the worry that my money has a greater chance of going directly to keep alive our worst enemy -- the numerous media outlets -- so it may continue to peddle its lies to further its Draconian agenda.

The 280th Anniversary of George Washington's Birth

It's no wonder today's pygmies have removed his name from the annual national holiday honoring his birth.

I suspect he modeled his behavior on that of Cincinnatus, the man most important for the survival and traditional ethics of the early Roman republic. (It's almost impossible to get anyone today to understand the huge difference between that republic and the tyrannical empire that subdued it.)

George Washington embodied both greatness and humility, the most uncommon of combined traits. This is the man whose actions and sacrifices were so significant in establishing a home offering temporal liberty for all mankind.

God bless his soul and deliver us from those who hate what he represents.

The Agency of Lies Forcing a Religious Test On the Wrong Candidate

The No Religious Test Clause of the United States Constitution is found in Article VI, paragraph 3, and states that:
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.
The excessive concentration on Rick Santorum's beliefs amounts to a religious test conducted in the court of public opinion.

It  is coming from both the Left (major TV and newspapers) and from the Right (e.g. all of Salem(witch) Broadcasting's talkers either directly or by snide implication.)

Meanwhile, Barack Hussein Obama attended Islamic madrassa  in Indonesia when very young, had two fathers who were Muslim. And we are to suppose that the young Barack Hussein never had to declare allegiance to Allah (to which apostasy garners the convert to Christianity a fatwah)? The agents of the Agency of Lies have declared questioning Mr. Obama on this out of bounds since day one of his appearance on the national scene.

The good news is that America will not fall for this anal cavity search on Mr. Santorum as long as my bare handful of regular readers dare make note of what I'm saying here to the handful of people they talk with daily.

Get the word out. The way the Agency of Lies is attacking Mr. Santorum could be called what? Satanic? Why did that word come to mind?

Unholy Alliance

Yesterday, with Incremental Orwellianism, I presented only the latest example that ought lead everybody to conclude that our two political parties are united -- them against most of the rest of us.

Over the years I've been quizzed on it from the typical sheeple with the questions they've been schooled in by the antidisestablishmentarian "conservative" talk show hosts. "C'mon Pascal. The difference in the positions of the two parties could not be more clear." Although they've long heard the wisdom -- and many even adhere to it -- to "judge a man by his deeds and not his words," they somehow cannot take that same wisdom and apply it to the political party of their choice.

How can two parties be so united even as one of them quite obviously gets angry with the other over the differences in their party's stated goals? They can't ALL be acting can they?

All it takes is for each of the members of the parties to conclude that they are somehow better than the rest of humanity. In that common inclination that they each have something special that other humans lack, they unite against the rest of us. It's another one of those conscience-salving phenomena, somewhat less directly deadly than the radical green concept that the number of humans on the planet must be drastically reduced, but every bit as autocratic in its consequences.

The liberals in the Democratic Party believe that they are purer because they mean well. And the media almost never holds them to account when their hare-brained schemes go awry. The Progressives (who started out in the GOP, but whose mentality has shifted over to the Dems also) always thought themselves the enlightened ones, the ones who knew best, "the best and brightest," the most clever -- yes sneaky -- but the ends justify the means so the libs will accept us even as they don't trust patricians.

So we have one party that gets its most ardent followers from those who think they're more pure at heart than the rest of humanity.
We have another party that is controlled by those who believe themselves to be super clever and better thinkers and planners than the rest of humanity.

They've managed to get along with each other because each is willing to accept the others shortcomings just so long as they get what they want. Were men angels, we would need no government. But also because they who govern are not angels but men subject to the same failings as the governed, checks must be placed on the governors. The American constitution was written with the express intent of limiting what mischief men in government might be inclined to do.

As the consequences of sowing the wind from this unholy alliance between the former adversaries -- where they labored to convince us that they were true adversaries, but they are winking at and not checking each other -- that we now are reaping the whirlwind.

As the world devolves into chaos, remember the sins of those in this unholy alliance, an alliance based on variations in hubris, and then maybe the survivors will be demand humility in their new leaders -- on the pain of death. (A very fine thought on this day that is the pretender to Washington's Birthday on Wednesday. George Washington, the indispensable man whose humility shames the hollow men we have today. It's no wonder that today's rulers wish him forgotten.)

Please God: Deliver us from evil one more time.

Incremental Orwellianism

  • President Obama claims that the religious institutions really don't have to compromise their principles.
  • President Obama has proclaimed that contraceptive and sterilization devices, drugs and services must be provided FREE.
  • When someone must provide a product or service under penalty of law, that is SLAVERY.
If the Republican Party is really the party of economic freedom, why don't they plainly warn against slavery when it's been proposed by our dictator President?

I never quite understood the Ingsoc slogan "Freedom is Slavery" in Orwell's 1984. I now do.
Being forced to do something for free is slavery.

The silence from what claims to be the Right "leadership" is simply unacceptable. Maybe tomorrow talk radio will pick up my perspective. Don't hold your breath!

Maybe it's time to think of Obama as merely the face of Big Brother. The two parties are one when only your humble blogger, a nobody, states what should be obvious to leaders of a real opposition.

Look for new leaders or get comfortable being slaves.

Your being convinced to accept chains has been less clear before. How about now? When is incrementalism no longer incremental?

Why Conservatives Don't Trust the GOP

What follows is why your humble author does not trust the GOP. I bet I am not alone, hence my title.

I would bet that if any of the talkers on talk radio were really conservative they would have brought up what follows themselves.

I don't care about what the actual legal process is allegedly supposed to look like because it seems that when the Democrats want laws reversed, they get a quick hearing from SCOTUS. When conservatives want laws reversed, the GOP won't do the work that the Democrat law-makers did. (In other words it looks like the GOP is in the tank. I think it proper to call the Republican Party the base of operations for the "Progressives" Incrementalists on the Right.)

The following is a typical refrain from the little conservative who feels betrayed:
Pascal, I don't understand why he's not charged (or sued) for what he's done already (recess appointments, mandates on insurance companies, etc.). -- Ed B. of Not of This Earth.
You really don't understand?
Or you don't like where your logical speculations lead; and from experience you know so few people will listen to your logical conclusions?

Because the direction the speculation goes tells you that
  1. the growth of government is a one-way street and
  2. we don't have a true opposition set of representatives.
When Ronald Reagan got the line item veto passed by Congress, DEM Senator Robert Byrd was johnny-on-the-spot filing a brief with the SCOTUS. His complaint got heard -- and the line item veto reversed -- in almost no time at all. There was NONE of this 2 years of taxes collected for ObamaCare before the SCOTUS decides if it's kosher.

Or how about when the voters of the State of Washington passed term limits on its Congressman. Then Dem Speaker of the House Tom Foley took it immediately to SCOTUS. He had it declared unconstitutional lickety-split.

Meanwhile our illustrious GOP Speaker John Boehner cries about how unfair Obama is, how unfair the press is, how unfair his base is. He tells us through all those tears how he's a real conservative. But he still gave away to Obama the keys to the treasury this last August. And then, for good measure, he caved on the payroll tax extension in December.

Isn't it true that many of you who are reading this post have said the same thing at some time in the past -- "I don't understand" -- rather than truly express your thoughts on the matter because your thoughts are so dark you dared not state them?

You and I would probably both find our names on a list for those destined for the new gulag. I figure I better speak out while I still have the ability to think at all. Orwell said Newspeak was the tool by which Big Brother sought to make it impossible for his subjects to piece together thoughts that were detrimental to his rule. Look at the state of American education and who it is that is running the media and then look me in the eye and tell me Orwell was not spot on.

I see speaking out as a God given gift. I view it as a terrible ingratitude to push that gift aside. I'd rather be scorned by the GOP than damned by God.

How about you?

Incre-mental Case

All of the following, excepting the last sentence, is an observation in regret that was prompted from the comment stream of "self-herding sheep" at Crusader Rabbit.
“Incrementalism is a method of working by adding to a project using many small (often unplanned), incremental changes instead of a few (extensively planned) large jumps…”-- Wikipedia
The schemers through their PR branches may own the Progressive label, but you know the road to tyranny over a once free people could never have been accomplished any other way but incrementally.

I fear that makes me an incre-mental case for having allowed it to advance for so long without my speaking out sooner and actively seeking and rallying more supporters. There were many of us who also saw and said little, each of us awaiting the other to take the lead.

Given the incremental destruction to all education in contemporary America, most certainly leadership training had to have been an early target. Every leadership course I've encountered in my long life had the underlying message "Go along to get along."

In retrospect I think we should all be immensely grateful that George Washington had the good sense not to succumb to such tripe.

Attack On Our Care for Posterity

This is a follow-on to my recent republication of "At the Core of the Judeo-Christian Ethos: What Animates Its Critics."

I great number of us have been conditioned to be pessimists. Yet it only takes a little faith to beat that conditioning. Your enemies know it too.

The tune below became popular when I was still in my twenties and I had not yet met my wife. I definitely had grown to like the sound of the psychedelic mix added to the tune, but I'm sure I didn't think much of the lyrics even then. I was just never that pessimistic.

I'm sad to say that many fellow baby boomers, especially those a few years younger, did feel at a loss to solve the worlds problems as they had been laid out by the Neo-Malthusians ten years earlier. How many followed the pessimistic maladvice of Timothy Leary's "turn on, tune in, drop out" that are echoed in these lyrics? Too many that I knew and have since lost touch with, that's for sure.

But what about the "faithful?"

Even those who still feel they are loyal to the Judeo-Christian ethos will say to me "but, yeah, there are too  many people." The thought that God had given mankind the intellect to solve the issues of population without resorting to neopaganistic human sacrifices is a faith that has been driven out of them if they ever had an inclination to have such faith to begin with. The bible does not simply say "be fruitful and multiply." It says
"Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth."
Thus I tell you that the ethos foresaw the fear so many of you believe in today. See how it suggests that man has all he needs to follow this assigned purpose for his life. The purpose for his life? Well, it IS the very first task found in Genesis. But without faith? As I explained in the post that preceded this, those who want power to rule us all as if we were all dumb brutes hate the Judeo-Christian Ethic. They want the very notion of faith in something higher and more powerful than them – a just and final Judge and Protector – never to enter our minds.

Who exactly did Alvin Lee tell "So I'll leave it up to you-ooo-ooo" in his lyric? In retrospect he and that "but I don't know what to do" generation granted the power to solve it all to the Progressives Incrementalists. I and those like me were never given a fair hearing before the unwitting granted such permission. At any rate, it is a power that has been seized with or without Mr. Lee's permission and to which we seem to be at a loss of power to reverse -- so far.

I'D LOVE TO CHANGE THE WORLD

Dykes and fairies
Tell me where is sanity?

Tax the rich, feed the poor         [Heh Obama!]
Till there are no rich no more?     [Heh, Thatcher!]

I'd love to change the world
(Dee-dee-dee-dee)
But I don't know what to do
(Dee-eee-dee-dee-dee-dee)
So I'll leave it up to you-ooo-ooo
(Be in my prayer)

Population, keeps on breedin'
Nation bleedin', still more feedin'
Economy

Life is funny, skies are sunny
Bees made honey, who needs money?
Monopoly

I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do

So I'll leave it up to you-you-ooo

More pollutions, there's no solutions
Restitution, mass confusions

Better Late Than Never (Glenn Beck)

This morning I heard Glenn Beck issue a warning about the danger to any who hold Judeo-Christian views. This was prompted by Obama's current assault on Catholic Church managed health providers. He wants listeners to stand with the Catholics. I concur. [UPDATE: Attack On Our Care for Posterity is the new follow-up to this post.]

My own formal warning on this, posted at my old website (PascalFervor.com) in 2006, often cannot be brought up from the WayBack Machine. So I'll repost it again today. Were I to rewrite it today I'd think I write it more to the point, and I'd make sure to explicitly link the Precautionary Principle to the adversaries of the heart of Christianity and Judaism. But I'll let it stand as it is, awkward wording and all.

The Only Bad Publicity Is No Publicity

I warn you again about how much the Right is being manipulated into backing the two most Establishment candidates.

Talk radio is as conservative as its sponsors and the handful of radio groups will permit it to be. Yes, they will SAY things that you like because those good thoughts all come from you.  But when it comes time to put their money where their mouths have been, they will go with those who have gained their allegiance by permitting them to go on and SAY all those nice things so that you will buy their books. Making each of them very wealthy,

You know in your bones that's how the system works. Accept it.

Once you accept that, then you know that cronies back both the Left and the Right, so you have very good reason to be more skeptical over the way this is playing out.
  • Yes, Romney is the most country club of GOP candidates.
  • Yes, Gingrich is being gang-attacked. I also feel like defending him when the attacks are over the top. But I did that for G W Bush too even though I detested how Statist and Left pleasing (and them never acknowledging it) he could be.
Please look at all this bad blood publicity for what it is: Providing name recognition for Gingrich and Romney.

Rick Santorum basically has had the oxygen in all of the recent debates sucked away from him. Stolen on behalf of R & G by the guiding hand of the moderators and later bickered over all over the map. That all starts and continued with MSM The Agency of Lies -- it deciding who get the oxygen.

I know I am not going to persuade any of you. But let me state this for the record:
R & G are losers for us. They will either lose to Obama like McCain did, or they will become care-takers of the burgeoning state so that the Left can do in 2014 what they did in 2006 -- claim that the GOP is bad for America.
Name recognition buys at least half of the votes. That and fear that only "He can win." The resultant candidate would then only offer the non Leftist American the choice of voting for the radical Obama or a GOP Progressive. That is not a good choice. THAT IS NO SENSIBLE CHOICE!

I don't get where anyone thinks that Newt is not a Progressive. And if you know he IS a Progressive, WTF? "He can win" is what saddled California with the gawdawful Schwarzenegger instead of the best candidate, McClintock.

As you suffer from either Obama's 2nd term or under either of these Progressives, please remember I warned you. Maybe you can then tell me why you didn't heed me. Okay?

ObamaCare Ought To Be the Key Issue

As Rick Santorum pointed out forcefully last night, Governor Romney still defends "the elimination of fundamental freedoms" in RomneyCare. Romney can't run against this BIG (>75% hate Obamacare) issue.

But who am I to tell you this?

And who is Rick Santorum? That's the way the MSM -- including most of talk radio which spends all of its time defending Newt or Mitt only -- likes it.

They do not want you to hear Santorum. Why? He's not perfect, but he can take this issue cleanly to Obama.

Why don't you back Rick Santorum? Because the feminists hate him. And most of our side are afraid of them?  That's gotta be it. "He can't win" because he's pro-life. Tell your feminist influenced friends that Santorum isn't the dictator Obama is. Santorum is not going to eliminate abortions like Obama is eliminating loads of other things. Obama is eliminating freedom of healthcare and eliminating our security with his anti-American foreign policies and eliminating jobs through dictatorial regulations at EPA and Labor and Commerce and -- need I go on?

All you conservatives just don't like that he's strongly pro-life? I must be a fool for not getting it. Someone make me an offer to sell my principles. Oh -- you have? Well, keep trying. Maybe you'll stumble on the truth.

Self-Defeating

As this seemingly neverending campaign season grinds on, and you receive requests to send money to campaigns or super PACs, don't forget this.

The money you send is helping keep your most insidious and relentless enemy alive. The  MSM Agency of Lies will take your money and become an even bigger factor in destroying your life.

If only, like The Magnetic Monster, we could over-feed it so that it blows itself up. Ah. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Did That Really Come From Newt?

When I reproduced the money bomb email in yesterday's post, I scrubbed off the "From" line along with the "To" line. Sorry about that.

I was asked, half jokingly, by more than a few people whom I told of the email
"Are you sure that came from Gingrich?"
It's a fair question given all the political dirty tricks that  have transpired in the past and seem to be on the increase.

Why would the Gingrich campaign deliberately send out an email that plays to the stereotypical charge that "Gingrich is a bomb thrower?"

I have no idea. Ask them.

Here's the line I left off yesterday (since added).
Subject: Money Bomb: Deliver the Knockout Punch
From: Newt Gingrich <campaign@newtgingrichforpresident.org >

I really wish the question did not feel like a joke. That is because the targets of the joke are all those who legitimately wish to restore the dream that is America.

Could Newt Be More Self Defeating?

In what follows, I'm aware that there is a certain sick humor about all this. Perhaps the laugh is on anyone who thinks the GOP hierarchy is actually trying to oust Obama. Or maybe the laugh is on the gullible buyers of books put out by conservative talkshow hosts. They sure write good books detailing what Obama is doing wrong and extolling what is right and honest. Obama's presidency has been a boom time for them, doncha know.

It surely is mighty hard to take in what follows and keep a straight face..

By now everybody has heard how tone deaf Romney has been. Talkers and bloggers have chalked up his loss in Saturday's South Carolina primary election to Mr. Romney "being unable to read the voters."

Like that was a revelation? As far as I'm concerned, Mr. Romney, like Mr. McCain before him, and Mr. Huntsman, and countless other Republicans, simply hate conservatives because we simply don't approve of "Progressives" pretending to be moderates.

But what of Mr. Gingrich? The Carolinians reacted favorably to Newt's eagerness to fight the media and from there extended confidence in him to take on Obama and the Dems. I personally still await to hear his clear denouncement of the radical Greens and their sophistic abuse of the Precautionary Principle. He has the smarts to do it if he's not in the tank. Intelligent anti-greens know this too. I want to know:
Is Newt truly a changed man?

Well, now that's where this post begins to get funny.

The media and the talkers and several big bloggers have frequently call Mr. Gingrich "a bomb thrower."

And what shows up in my email on Sunday?

Subject: Money Bomb: Deliver the Knockout Punch
From: Newt Gingrich

.
.
Please read this special message from Newt Gingrich.
.

Patriot,

Our success in yesterday's South Carolina primary is a result of one thing: a national movement of conservative patriots who want to see bold solutions enacted to....

Money Bomb? Any kind of bomb?

Wasn't one of the primary reasons Mr. Gingrich won South Carolina was because he used his great political skills? He proved he could out-trash talk the media? Because he could turn the tables on them?

So what does his campaign do right after that win? It feeds the opposition's bomb-thrower stereotype.

Bold ass you say?

Yeah, that's the first criteria Americans seek in their presidents.

Manipulated

South Carolinians sure have my sympathy today. You are the latest subjects to be manipulated. I surely hope you understand.

If I learned nothing else from Orwell, I learned that the Statist regime winds up running its own opposition. And you believe our current situation is dissimilar?

“We’re doing this because it is the right thing to do”

Is that the imperial "We" there? You bet it is.
Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West -- part 6.

In recent weeks I've presented how the Precautionary Principle forms the basis of a new morality. People who operate surreptitiously -- for what they believe is the common good -- feel good about themselves no matter how much sophistry they employ. “We’re doing this because it is the right thing to do.” Got it?

Below the read more is an independent video taken at the kickoff for the "winter workshops" of a regional land use commission with the authoritarian sounding name OneBayArea. Have you had similar experiences? Share them. Homeland Security is not the NKVD -- yet.

"Progressives" Using Incrementalism

My readers know I loath the word "Progressive" used as a label for the bastard Incrementalists. That is because their chosen label belies their real agenda: to achieve furtively, a little bit at a time, authoritarian repression. They do this with a clear conscience because they believe themselves anointed with a clearer vision. That vision requires that mankind be ruled by supermen. So in support of the Precautionary Principle's worry that mankind might overburden the environment without their rule, they fully intend on regressing the livelihood of the common man.

Tough to do in a free and open and informed society you say?

Precautionary Principle Is Older Than 1999

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West -- part 5.

I've heard a disheartening remark from at least two people who already understand how the Precautionary Principle is a threat not only to progress but to liberty. "Most people are too stupid to understand, so why bother discussing it?" For me such an attitude recalls the smartassery "beauty may only be skin deep, but ugly goes clear down to the bone."

Nanny State Bestows Mercy

I stumbled upon some good news for a change.

A terrified householder grabbed a carving knife and fought a ‘fencing match’ with machete-wielding burglars, a court heard yesterday.

During the struggle, an intruder was stabbed and died from his injuries later.

Grandfather Peter Flanagan, 59, was arrested on suspicion of murder but prosecutors ruled he should face no charges because he had acted reasonably to defend himself.

The decision followed a pledge by [PM] David Cameron that homeowners who defend themselves against intruders should not be prosecuted provided they use ‘reasonable force’.
--
Daily Mail Online
Isn't that grand? UK has been in the forefront of intimidating its citizens from defending themselves, notoriously persecuting and imprisoning home defenders for eliminating, without a badge, state-terror agents home invaders.

Well, here's a thanks to God for Peter Flanagan's good fortune. He was the lucky one to be graced with what meager mercy Downing Street offers its subjects. The Queen's wielders of force took a holiday from their jealousy as sole arbiters of justice.

Precautionary Principle Tyranny

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West -- part 4.

Christinewjc: I apologize if I am not "getting" your point regarding the "precautionary principle." I read your recent blog post about it and have concluded that perhaps I need an example?#

Someone charges that your ideas are a threat to humanity. Your normal defense is that they must prove it. They counter that IF they are right, the danger is so bad that the burden of proof shifts to you. They, under color of authority, go on and ban your normal operations, demanding that you first prove that your efforts are not a danger before they allow you to proceed. Rights guaranteed by the US Constitution, "freedom of speech and assembly and of religion" and "innocent until proven guilty," have been discarded wherever the Precautionary Principle has been recognized.

Judeo-Christian ethics and the Western tradition views innocent human life with sanctity. Human life is holy. Under the cover of the Precautionary Principle, Greens insist that Malthusianism has to be given the upper hand; that a human's usefulness must be weighed in order to determine their innocence; and that old line moralists are a threat to those who seek to supersede Judeo-Christian morality with morality founded upon those who worship Sustainability.
Thanks for that explanation, Pascal. #

I must say that it is kind of ironic that some leftist secular progressives (especially the celebrity types) might use such an idea against Christian Conservative viewpoints, but ignore the dangers of Islam and label it "the religion of peace" when, for the most part, it has been quite the opposite for centuries.

Kind of ironic, yes. There is little true irony when it comes to the implementation of renewed authoritarianism. When each new bar to individual freedom is preceded by the implementers claiming to be achieving the opposite of what you are witnessing, the only irony (unless it's duplicity) is to be found in those who sincerely believe they are watchdogs as those consequences unfold right before their eyes.

Want a new approach to fight each attempted new breech of individual rights? Discover how your adversaries have employed the Precautionary Principle, then go on to reveal how their plans are a greater threat to humanity than anything you might do. Defeating the tactic and turning the tables becomes easier when more people comprehend how they're under attack because you've stripped the facade away from the attackers.

Happy New Year: Implacable Enemy Within the West -- part 3

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West (part 3)

Exactly ten years ago today, a comment appeared at Free Republic in a thread based on the publication “Human Sacrifice Rationalization in 7th Grade Curriculum .” The Precautionary Principle was not directly mentioned, but it was clearly present in the thinking of those who scoff at men filled with faith, optimism and the love of mankind.

Here is the summary of that comment:
A fundamental disparity appears to set up the battleground, the reason, the cause celebre, for the confrontation predicted in Revelations known as Armageddon.
  • The God-fearing belief they must be allowed to procreate, to obey what they see as God’s wishes, that the choice to have children ought be left solely to the couple and providence. They note that no matter how many people on the planet, God has provided when man is free to worship freely. The overwhelming success of this country is testament to that.
  • Those without faith in God have a different belief: the unshakable, Malthusian driven fear that believers in God must be neutralized in order to save the planet from the inevitable geometric growth of humanity if the wishes of “the great unwashed” are left unchecked. They fear the planet cannot stand further human growth, and are therefore dead-set against any who promote it. So they have aided, abetted and employed the God-scoffers to indoctrinate our children against God and belief in Him. Our children are being indoctrinated to not have this faith in God, to believe man must limit himself. Our children will be warned not to believe that God said be “fruitful and multiply.” Our children will think it patriotic to not have children of their own. Our children are being taught to believe that those who “breed” are traitors.

Even non-believers ought be able to see how this conflict sets the God scoffers against the God believers.
Institutional rot concomitant to advancing authoritarianism have only gotten worse since then.

Over the last week I’ve been flogging how the Precautionary Principle is at the core to morphing Western culture into accepting authoritarian rule. And that authoritarian rule is deliberately regressive in nature because true progress causes humanity to thrive — as happened when the ideas from the Age of Reason led to the toppling of authoritarian rule in British America.

The Precautionary Principle is the prime reason for the new morality that views population reduction as a moral necessity. The useful idiots who actually believe that “we must assume Malthus was right so we can prevent massive uncontrolled deaths” are delivering the West (the progenitor and protector of individual liberty) into the hands of power mad monsters. History is quite clear: power mad monsters always rain death.

More anon.

Invoking the Precautionary Principle While Disavowing Knowledge of It

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West (part 2)

This a follow-up to my Christmas commentary: Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West.

Just in case you start asking around about the Precautionary Principle, and are answered with the Senatorial Denial such as this: "No, I haven't heard of it. But it sounds interesting. Why don't you send that information to my office and my staff will review it."

Well, our legislators and policy makers sure know how to invoke it despite Senator Knownothing.

When invoking the Precautionary Principle our rulers tend to go whole hog and use it to their benefit as they hide behind the facade that they are protecting us. "This [insert latest fright] crisis is too great, the threat to the public too dire, for our government to be limited in its actions by anything so old fashioned as the US Constitution." Or, in the words of Rahm Emanuel, "Never let a crisis go to waste."

Here's the opening paragraph from a 2007 essay warning of those who know the Precautionary Principle well enough to make use of it to benefit their cronies while ignoring the side effects.

The United States employs a version of the precautionary principle when it confronts threats to national security. We spend vast amounts on defenses against threats unlikely to affect Americans. Experts, defense officials, and politicians justify the expenditures by saying they are necessary to protect the public from worst case dangers. Those claims ignore what is probable and what defenses cost. They exaggerate the danger our enemies pose and strip resources from more probable dangers, making us less safe. -- Benjamin H. Friedman, "The terrible 'ifs': U.S. defense policy makers have adopted the precautionary principle."
My point is, any US government legislator or office seeker who denies they know of the Precautionary Principle so that they don't have to answer hard questions about its use are either liars or too stupid to be running for office.

Merry Christmas

Understanding the Implacable Enemy Within the West (part 1)

The most joyous time of the year in America has always been Christmas. Cherish it my friends, whatever your beliefs. The forces in power are not to be trusted to permit this to continue. Indeed, they've been actively whittling away at it.

Blaming the TEA Party for Not Owning the Media

The news cycles have been relentlessly blaming a handful of Republicans in the House for days now.

This INCLUDES at least one "conservative" talk station, 870 KRLA, which is a major (if not flagship) station of Salem Broadcasting. Salem also owns TownHall.com. Simply corrupt.

What do we call this working overtime for the other side? Quisling seems too far. Mole doesn't fit when they own the place. Termites tend to be bureaucratic. RINO is an old epithet that I've repeatedly complained of as being too kind. The corruption is so palpable.

Guy S' SKUNCs, even though I like it, is simply not angering enough as far as I can say personally.

I don't know what else to say. Even Og is no help here. The best he can do is tell me "like you expected something different?"  YES. Why have so many on the Right given up?

Is Ace corrupted? Most days I think so.

Even I must be corrupted in that I constantly feel the urge to just give up.

What Say You?

"We are not voting ourselves out of this" is the line I am repeatedly reading.

So what sort of solution do I think offers us any non-confrontational relief?

We wind up voting The Bummer out. Eschewing any support for a third party will accomplish that.

Then we get very active, and let the TEA Party sentiment be the generally accepted rule and fly in the face of all efforts by the propaganda mills.

This time will be unlike how most of us behaved under GWBush. Much more like how we vocally objected to Harriet Myers and the Dubai ports trial balloons, and very less how we responded to his failure to push tort reform, put teeth into the Beck decision, or use his veto pen even before we remained silent on his growing government.

We daily fight to hold the GOP Prez to what is American and not European/Collectivist/Statist/Globalist.

I am just free wheeling here. Brainstorming. What say you?

Comment at JWF

My instant reaction to "Chavez Calls Obama a Clown" was to think of how Orwell viewed hostilities of communist nations in his last novel.

That in turn prompted me to to imagine The Bummer's response to Chavez.
We are at war with Columbia. We have always been at war with Colubia.
We are at war with Venezuela. We have always been at war with Venezuela.”
— Barack Obama without apologies to George Orwell
Just in time for reelection campaign season too!

Fill the Gap In Talk Radio

Every "conservative" talk radio station I tune in during the day has some MSM Agency of Lies "news" on the hour and half hour. Invariably they report only Obama or some other Left leaning person in the news making their best points without airing any contradictions to those statements.  This gets repeated throughout the day. Imagine what the stations that are all Left-leaning all the time are doing, and it is little wonder that the public thinks that the Left-leaning words are not only dominant, they are winning.

On one hand, I find it demoralizing simply to hear these things without their counter-arguments being aired. But it also makes me feel guilty for not doing more. Rarely have I the time, let alone the dedication, to make recordings of these short segments. And how about listeners in their cars? Offended listener ranting could easily be the cause of accidents. Who can remember the details and retain the anger long enough to later write a post about it?

Now for the sake of argument, let's say I did decide to dedicate a month or two to capturing the news reports on these stations. And then I could write a new column about each of those imbalances and provide my own balance for my readers.

But let's face facts. At this point in my blogging efforts, I know hardly anybody would read it. Not only that, even if this was done by one of the bigger blogs, they could not provide the immediate relief to the half-truth news report that talk radio hosts could were they so dedicated.

Were this is the first time I've mentioned this sort of event (and I don't think it is), it is assuredly not the first time I've felt let down by talk radio. If my reaction is any indication, there is a market out there hungering for more balance in these news segments. So where is it?

Apparently nobody on the talk shows, the host or staff, ever listens to the news segments during the breaks. Why not? It's filled with news that is a constant source of irritation to the average listener. So why not  lambaste those one-sided "news" items and their commentators right then and there? Seek to refresh me rather than demoralize me as they do now. Maybe they won't succeed, but at least I'd feel they were really trying.

Again, if my reaction is any indication, there is a vacuum waiting to be filled. Providing more balance in these news segments would fill it. Taking the opportunity to get in a dig at our tormentors would be the icing on the cake. Rush Limbaugh made a mint by being the first talker to broadcast the sort of comments that had previously never been given a full airing. The sort of comments, after being sent to letters-to-the-editor, wound up tossed into the circular file. And American listeners responded very favorably to hearing their common-sense ideas finally get some hearing on the airwaves, and Rush and Roger Ailes are now multimillionaires.

So be the next Rush by offering instant fill-in and rebuttal to the hourly spots that now only deliver Statist propaganda. Go out young man and make some money!

They've Disguised Ugly Passions with Sophistic Reasoning

Here is a meme worth discussing if you want to pull the West back from the brink, or at least provide its survivors a clue as to how it was destroyed.

The hiding of many ugly human passions by giving them the appearance of reasoning.

  • Envy and covetousness have been hidden with the reasoning of "social" justice.
  • Attacks on property ownership has been hidden with the reasoning of "environmental" justice.
The passions hidden here while given full rein are
  • the inclination to steal;
  • the inclinations to force others to do your will.
By giving passions the guise of reason, people in power keep the illusion of calm while they upset the rest of us.

Each of these can be stopped through reason by exposing the sophistry at work.

There are other hidden passions that have been granted cover through sophistry. One of these most conservatives know from being on the receiving end: bigotry. How? Tell me the ways.

Destroying Western Civ from Within

While responding to Seneca III at Crusader Rabbit a couple of day ago, I expressed some relatively mild criticism of John Stuart Mill when pointing Seneca to an informative commentary by Mike Gray over at The American Culture. In retrospect, I imagine even mild criticism of such a "Progressive" icon hits someone who thinks himself progressive with terrible cognitive dissonance.

Well, commenter “Jon”  responded to me with defensive condescension and pointed me to the first in a string of Mr Cropper video lectures about the famous Mill essay "On Liberty".

Because he left a phony email address, I could not inform "Jon" that the video series to which he sent me actually reinforces what real conservatives ought rightly fear about those who have long hidden behind JS Mill's "open mind" apologetic to shield them in their attacks on Western civilization.

Better even is what I discovered in the first four minutes of part 13. (Mr Cropper really gets cranked when discussing consequences between 4 and 7 minutes).

Partial transcript from first 4 minutes in the next 8 paragraphs:
"It is desirable, in short, that in things that do not primarily concern others, individuality should assert itself. If it were felt that free development of individuality is one of the leading essentials of well-being, there would be no danger that liberty would be undervalued." -- J.S. Mill.

If we could get to people that understand that individual freedoms are important for all of us to have the nice things we have -- like enough food to eat, houses to live in, freedom from war and poverty and whatever. If people understood that individuality as such, the freedom of the individual, is essential to bringing us the good life, then everybody would understand why we have to leave the individual free.

That is a lovely thought, and it's tempting, but it's not true. Today you can tell them that. You can say "Now look. We need the individual to act as he pleases as long as he doesn't hurt others." [And gives a list.]

And there is a group that responds: "To Hell with all that. I want trees and..." [gives a list of primitive, pristine land, untouched by humanity "forest primeval" sort of wishes.] "To Hell with mankind's good. To Hell the well-being" as John Stuart Mill says. "I want Nature to be better off."

There are even some crackpot idiots who rather not see us go to the Moon and other planets. Here are these balls of rock and dust floating through space. They hate mankind so much, they don't even want us to go there and disturb the rocks and dust. It is a sick, sick person who prefers mankind just disappear or reduce their numbers, or something, just so rocks and trees and fish can live. To remove this drive to go to Mars and the Moon is just -- is diabolical.

I wish he [Mill] were right about this. If we understood that it's freedom that leads to our well-being, we would all be in favor of freedom. As a matter of fact, if you think that freedom leads to our well-being, there are these people who will say
"OK. Freedom is obviously a bad thing then. We need to have state controls on stuff. We need to stop the building of new power plants; we need to stop new highways; and stop new housing; we need population controls on people; and the number of new babies being born; and reduce the population."
You cannot get passed them. It's called environmentalism. It's a new cult, a new religion. They don't even profess to be scientific; at least the communists were scientific about their nonsense, or claims to be.  These people just claim morality is all they're after. And that humans are immoral; destroying trees is immoral. So you can't convince them Freedom is good -- it leads to SUVs.  That's why they're pissed.
Mr Cropper is demonstrating the kind of thinking that leads to my complete overview of why Western Civ is being destroyed from within. He is one step removed from asking this question,
“If our “leaders” are so humanitarian, how is it that we never hear them direct a harsh word at the Malthusian, Utilitarian and Green nutcases?”
for which the plausible answers are not comforting for individuals and any desire they have for their own life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

Illusions of Control Continue

After stewing on the American situation over the weekend, Og nailed it yesterday, with The illusion of control. With the agents of a shadow empire occupying every institution in our republic, simply voting is not going to get our posterity out of the fix we've gifted them.

Speaking of gifts, today Pat Condell (with his God-given atheist gift) very clearly enunciated  the situation in Europe. Well, except for at the very end (hence the title of my post). Watch for it. (hat tip: Gates of Vienna)

Actually, what Mr. Condell describes is really being mirrored all over what is formally known as the West. He thinks the EU nations can somehow still vote themselves out of it. That's because he's replaced faith in God with (in his own words) faith in Democracy.
"When people stop believing in God, they don't believe in nothing — they believe in anything." -- G.K. Chesterton.
Ah what fools these mortals be.

It's the Statism Stupid, Coming To Pass

The drum beat begins. Over the last few days there have been calls from the Left for Obama to step down as Harry Truman and LBJ did before him.

I've said it often, most recently in early September with It's the Statism Stupid, that the Right has been running a terrible, non-conservative risk by focusing all its concerns on Obama. By not putting the focus on the Democratic Party's Statist agenda, the risk was always there that the Left would seek to remove Obama from the running one way or the other.

Now the Left is blaming Obama for inconsequence and lack of vision and follow-through (Pat Caddell), and incompetence (Chris Matthews). More are sure to follow. They want a fresh leader to push their agenda forward. They are envisioning that leader to be Hillary. She is now with an unprecedented 69% approval rating. Oh, Oh -- and the GOP seems to have been helping her every way they can too. I just love its judgment as proven by its choices of venues for the debates, don't you? /s

Gee, who could have seen this coming? /s

So now we're told that we may be faced with another Democrat Statist running for President come November of the next year, you still think Romney is a real alternative? Why should conservatives give up to the SKUNCs in the GOP? Because they'll tell us that the independents won't buy a real conservative? Stand by your convictions and insist on giving the independents a not very difficult choice.
"Do you want a real conservative or another rotten Alinksyite?"
Dammit folks, both Obama and Hillary are Alinsky radicals! Make the case that any Dem would be as bad as a second Obama term. And make the case to those voting in the primaries: A soft Left-leaning pubbie, even if elected, will only be a caretaker president until the Dems take over or the country collapses.

Those same fools or Quislings in the GOP and punditry would have insisted on offering George H W Bush to the independents in 1980 instead of Reagan. (And there would have been no Reagan Democrats.) This country and the world would have had lost then too if we listened to the SKUNCs then instead of following our convictions. Get some nads you wimps.

I don't know who of the current crop of candidates is a good choice. We need a cultural Churchill to come out of obscurity or something. Most of all, we need help. You know Where to ask for it.

Are You Sensing the Pattern Yet?

Spotted at PJMedia: Spaniards Set to Throw Out Ruling Socialists.

Sounds quite like what Kiwis did when putting the Nats in power, doesn’t it? Or the French when electing Sarkozy to run France; and the Brits letting Cameron lead the UK.

Where would we be, what would we do, without the MSM Agency of Lies (and their lackey blogs) informing us who are the champions of the Right?

The true meaning of “The Third Way” will still probably not be realized by the majority when the whole of what was once known as “The West” finds itself in chains.

A Moment for Consistency

Now consider this.
Premise:
  • Jon Corzine had been a buddy with Dick Cheney instead of Joe Biden, and a crony of Bush instead of Obama.
Consequence:
  • Select members of the MSM Agency of Lies would be referring to Jon Corzini.
Because the AoL continues its imbalance and partisanship, and because the Republican Party hates its base more than it hates Obama, the duty falls to the common man to call out discrepancies so that all might hear it.

Convey facts with persistence, ablate cognitive dissonance.

Two Followups

First off, as a followup to Shock: ABC Consistently Inconsistent. Verum Serum posted a video Occupy San Diego Has A Moment of Solidarity for the White House Shooter. This, too, will most certainly be ignored by ABC "News" as well as the rest of the Agency of Lies (puppettedly also known as the MSM). It does not fit the Obama White House narrative, so forget widespread coverage. (I pray each day that the ostriches in my wider family will see some of this and finally work with me).

Secondly, as a followup to Will Mark Levin Ask Newt My Two AGWF Questions?, let me first summarize what transpired beginning at 1:42:40 of Mr. Levin's 11/16/11 podcast.
  1. Right out the gate, Mr. Levin asked Mr. Gingrich "Global Warming: Yes, no, or you don't know?" But IMO it was the wrong question by not being specific. It weakened all followup questions.
  2. As a result Newt skated away evasively by making Cap and Trade the issue he addressed. And he interrupted Mr. Levin's attempt to prod with a sharp-edged follow up!
  3. Mr. Levin ended his Wednesday show with this interview. He profusely apologized for running out of time. But he had also said, early in the show, that he planned it that way. Huh?
  4. I do not wish to impugn Mr. Levin's integrity, but whatever is the truth about this show I continue to feel like it was too staged. And worse: staged for the benefit of darker forces. The interview cast little light but I can assure you that he raised my heat.
The current issue is that EPA declared on its own that carbon dioxide is a pollutant. That decision is of monumental importance due to the mountainous regulations and restrictions imposed by the EPA. Such a decision is arguably constitutionally lawless.

An assertion of such consequence and magnitude while also being highly controversial (despite Al Gore's royal sounding infamous assertion that "the discussion is over") is thus political.

Political issues are supposed to be hashed out in Congress, not by the executive branch and its agencies, and not by the judiciary.

The problem with providing an opening for Mr. Gingrich to focus his commentary on Cap and Trade is that Cap and Trade is currently a dead issue. It was killed even by a veto proof Democratically controlled congress in 2010 before the elections that brought us Republican "control" of the House of Representatives.

Shock: ABC Consistently Inconsistent

 ABC News reports
"police say Ortega [DC shooting suspect] may have spent time blending in with Occupy D.C. protesters." [italics added]
This is the same MSM that immediately blamed Jared Loughner on the TEA Party despite that Leftist nutcase having not attended a single TEA Party rally nor having any other connection to any TEA Party.

For that matter, Diane Sawyer, also of ABC News, is still doing it.
"And you may remember Sarah Palin targeted her [Gabby Giffords] district with an ad that had a gun sight on it." -- on  20/20 aired Nov 14, 2011

The Statist propaganda mills (Agency of Lies) are beyond shameless dear readers. Pass this one along to your brothers. Pass this along to your lib neighbors if for nothing else than to simply to remind you of their cognitive dissonance and ostrich-like tendencies.

Will Mark Levin Ask Newt My Two AGWF Questions?

Mark Levin has Newt Gingrich scheduled on his radio talk show Wednesday (tomorrow). [And here is my followup to what actually transpired.] I'm craving to hear Newt forced to answer the following.

Mr. Gringrich:
  1. Do You Think CO2 Is a Pollutant? [and if he says "no," then followup with]
  2. How do you plan on ending EPA's insistence that it is?
Does Mr. Levin have the nads? Or is he just another patriotic poseur who writes books that sound so patriotic? I imagine I am not the only one tired of the BS that frustrates conservatives world wide.

Update:
And assuming  Mr. Gingrich says he'll rein in EPA, we'd like him to swear it's not the lie that this was. (hat tip to TrueblueNZ)

Do You Think CO2 Is a Pollutant Newt?

Yes, I know that Mr. Gingrich declared that "the dumbest thing I've done in the last couple of years was sitting on a couch with Nancy Pelosi." But he evaded answering the AGWF questions that have caused so much uncertainty and closing down, through extensive and unsound bureaucratic rules, businesses that produce and use energy.

The questions I most want to hear Mr. Gringrich answer in tonight's debate:
  1. Do You Think CO2 Is a Pollutant?
  2. How do you plan on ending EPA's insistence that it is?

The Original Los Angeles Oddity

Los Angeles is known for a legion of oddities. There is no certainty all this weird behavior is symptomatic of life in the State of California as whole. Though they could be, it is more likely that just the man-caused variety are the products of this locale. For close to a century L.A. has been forging new oddities and releasing them on unsuspecting and decent people everywhere, all part of the biggest misleading into decadence the world has ever known. Surely San Francisco has done its damnedest in recent years to regain the title of "oddest of the odd;" but theirs (IMO) is mostly mindless. For deliberate scripting only Broadway sometimes beats L.A.

However, there really is an original oddity of L.A. It is the weather. Los Angeles is environmentally a desert. But thanks to the engineering miracle of water management, and the not so miraculous manipulation of water rights, the most populated county in the United States has sprung up around the once little pueblo with the overly long name.

Yes, Los Angeles is well known for its lack of normal rainfall. But have you ever witnessed HOW that happens? Today I am providing you an insight into that perhaps useless bit of knowledge.

Over the last few days we were warned of a high likelihood of a storm passing through today and tomorrow. And it has been overcast since late yesterday. So, wondering when it might hit, I went to the Weather Channel's Doppler radar map to see.

The storm is not passing through Los Angeles; it is passing over Los Angeles.

The street outside my house is dry as a bone.

The rain is evidently falling, but it is evaporating before it hits the ground and rising again into the clouds. The desert is still desert. Yes, we will get our cloudbursts, the results of which could be catastrophic as they have before. But so far, God be merciful, it looks like today is not one of those days.

Like Merciful China

who charges the family of the executed man for the bullet. [For the decency challenged, the title of this blog post is sarcasm.]

After successfully winning a two-year prison sentence against U.S. Border Patrol Agent Jesus E. Diaz Jr., the Justice Department is now trying to collect a $6,870 fine from his wife, saying it should be paid “immediately”even though the judge signaled she would have a grace period.

In a notice sent last week the Justice Department said the fines were imposed by the court that found Agent Diaz guilty and sentenced him to prison for improperly restraining a 15-year-old suspected of drug smuggling.

---
Mr. [Congressman Duncan]Hunter had earlier written a letter asking Mr. Holder why the Justice Department pursued the case against Agent Diaz even after two internal reviews cleared him of wrongdoing. [any chilling effect on law enforcement is merely coincidental. /s]

A third review did say Agent Diaz violated rules when he twisted the suspected smuggler’s arms and placed used his knee to apply pressure to the man’s body. The U.S Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas brought charges.

Gee! One might even have reason to suspect that DOJ is doing heavy lifting on behalf of the druggies.

And to think there are people who are still of the opinion that "Operation Fast and Furious" was a bungle; a bug and not a feature. /s

Missing the Point

Regular readers know of my primary warning. (Hint for newcomers: read my subheading and think about the implications.)

Here's a title that appeared this evening at PJMedia, and about which I hope many more are now thinking "Well, Duh!"

Wasted ‘Climate Change’ Cash Could Save Lives Instead

This article is merely another instance where you are being alerted to the bug. The anarchitects of the AGWF, when they feel it is safe to be brazen, will call it a feature. Somehow there remains a whole load of people on the Right who will not suitably upbraid those whose goal is this feature.

I'd call Roger Simon to tell him to inform his contributors, but I suspect I'd be wasting my breath. Maybe Zombie oughta set them straight over there.

A Vise to Crush Our Voices Next November?

I'm far from the first to have thought this aloud. It's simply too bad isn't it? That so many are willing to risk their freedom sooner than risk the embarrassment of saying this aloud and -- God willing! -- be wrong. Too many damned cowards.

President Obama has opening praised the Occupy movement. It makes a lot of sense too. He rightly fears he'll be voted out of power next November without them acting up as they are, incrementally worse each day.

First we had the mindlessness ("revolution now; plan later) on Wall Street with the SKUNC Mayor Bloomberg letting it go on and on, fostering the event even.

And then the ever growing violence in cities across the nation.

It does not take a rocket scientist to foresee that a lack of firm response to crack down on the occupiers will only abet more and worse. Starting with their disturbing the peace and violating various ordinances with little or no push back, they invariably moved on to increasing their outrageousness and their disruption of those who work and live near them. Moving from petty and grand thefts, on to assaults and rapes, on up to arson. I shudder at the coming ratcheting up to mayhem and murder that some have called for from the beginning (that union head) and many more are surely hoping for.

I would not be the first to assess that there are those who so hope this violence from below will provide those at the very top to suspend elections. We already heard such hopes from a sitting governor and a congressman. So much for constitutional governance, eh?

Okay, okay -- I have need of a better cartoonist.

Coincidentally 24 Hours Ahead of the Drudge Headline

I put up two humorous posts yesterday. The shortest one was a continuation of my "Jeopardized" theme I started last year. It gave "CHAOS" as the Jeopardy answer to the question "What is the aim of the Occupy Movement?"

And today, low and behold, here was Drudge's top headline at about 7 AM Pacific.

Drudge link was to the My Way story entitled
Peaceful Occupy protests degenerate into chaos

Yeah, they've been peaceful about as much as they don't stink.

No clairvoyance necessary folks. This was so obviously coming that I  valued it at only 100 Jeopardy dollars.  And meanwhile, the propaganda mills at the AoL continues to call it "the peaceful protest" (so unlike their categorizing of the TEA party rallies).

Pass it around folks.

The AoL intends to turn reason on its head and thereby provoke further violence.

Be Prepared.

Useful Idiots for $100 Alex

The Jeopardy answer is: Chaos.

What is the aim of Occupy America?

How Deep In the Quicksand ARE We?

Well, the following series of observations, attributed to Donald Trump and chain-emailed, pretty much reduces us to joking about the authoritarian vise we see being built and closing in upon us.

I'm not a big Trump fan but this is pretty good
Trump Explains Dumbo Care

No one can sum it up better than Trump

Let me get this straight . . .
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care
plan we are forced to purchase and

Which purportedly covers at least
ten million more people,
without adding a single new doctor,
but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,

and signed by a Dumbo President who smokes,
with funding administered by a treasury chief who
didn't pay his taxes,
for which we'll be taxed for four years before any
benefits take effect
,

by a government which has
already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,
all to be overseen by a surgeon general
who is obese,

and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!
'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

And what is the Republican Party doing about it? Scheming to elect Mitt Romney to administer this horror show.
