SKUNC Leading Entry in the Rebrand the RINOs Contest

It looks like most entrants seem to agree that SKUNC will be the winner.
It meets the criteria specified in the contest.
There have been no new entries for several days.
About the only drawback I see is that SKUNC fits globalist villains in every sovereign nation, not just those who are members of the Republican Party.

Let's review.
  • S: Statist, Subversive, Socialist
  • K: Knowingly, Kleptocrat
  • U: Undermining, unprincipled, ugly, usurper, (updated from Joan of Argghh! comments)
  • NC: Nation & Constitution, National Constitution, National Charters

I've already used SKUNCs in the international form of Statists Knowingly Undermining National Charters* a few times. It felt good to have a single label that represented the concept even if it is not recognized in any households yet. But that's just me. Our side needs something better to describe the villains who promise us conservatism, but give us the finger once they get in power.

Extended family member #1 suggested SKURGE where URG is "Underminer in Republican Guise" and hasn't come up with what E represents other than the final e in guise. But this still has the problem associated with RINO in the first place -- it retains the word Republican.

I plan on keeping the contest open for a couple of more weeks. So spread the word some more. I'm surprised liberal trolls haven't come by and stuck their noses into this.

*UPDATE
The definition that I finally adopted was the one highlighted in yellow above.

  1. U is for: usurping, unprincipled, usurious, and um, ugly. And that's without even cracking open the dictionary.

Wait. Does anybody "crack open" a dictionary anymore?

  2. I have cracked a dictionary against the backside of the resident teenager (step son , the younger), but the information inside said tome, failed to transfer from point A (the book) to point B (the genetic hostage's gray matter). It amazes me we only have 3 or 4 floating around the house.

Having said all that, I use dictionary.com at least every other day or so. Lazy so and so that I am, it is easier to pull up a tab and use the dictionary on my google home page, than it is to get off my tush, and invade Webster's book on the shelf only a scant few feet away.

Returning to the tread at hand, I find the mild concern of SKUNC not being "exclusive" to our nations political shenanigans (specifically, those who are perpetrators of same).

  3. Sheesh, I am brain dead, To continue on the last sentence.

Returning to the tread at hand, I find the mild concern of SKUNC not being "exclusive" to our nations political shenanigans (specifically, those who are perpetrators of same) ....
... a "feature" and not a "bug" (to cop a bit of "Microsoft-speak"). That one acronym is so useful in painting the proper scarlet letter on the collective foreheads of ALL the miscreants worldwide, so much the better.

    There, much better now!!.

  4. Joan, I'm adding a few of your words to Undermining. You've greatly helps with SKURGE too. Subversive, Kleptocratic Usurper in Republican GuisE.

Yes Guy, the world-wide utility of SKUNC is a feature and not a bug. IOW, it is better than a mere replacement for RINO.

Except it still leaves us looking for the new acronym to describe the craven, disloyal, self-serving, elitist prigs who were formerly and mistakenly called RINOs. ;)

  5. I would humbly suggest that (alright, not so humbly *grin*) that SKUNC is a one size fits all acronym, for RINO's and applicable others, across the board. After all is not the evil brought about by these human Trojan horses just as vile as any done by those of other nationalities or political systems?

  6. With SKUNC, you're still in the lead Guy, by a mile.

Several people have pushed forward Mark Steyn's DIABLO. I commented on the original thread why it fails. If even popular conservative writer Mark Steyn couldn't bring about the acronym's acceptance, the reason must be that it is not good enough. Probably because it is not harsh enough. (Even Democrats are not democratic any longer -- having been taken over by elitist demagogues) Maybe because it's Spanish.

I'd say MORE vile Guy. Open enemies don't try to convince you that you are one of them. These villain seek to knife you in the back. And they have been financed into ruling position in just about every Western based country in the world. Please tell me: where has this not happened?

  8. Off the top of my head (pointy as it is) I can not think of anywhere which has not seen this odoriferous type become part of the political landscape. it begs the question; "Is the over all human nature of man such that we are always to be vulnerable to this type of duplicity, by our fellow man?"
